Hi,
I am suffering from IBS and possibly GERD, I burp alot in the evenings and prodeuce a lot acid reflux in my throat for which I take Emaprozole, But even so talking things like citlopram I still burp alot, it is very unsocial and was wondering if anyone else has this issue too and what they have tried to cure it?
I have lots of ulcers in the back of my throat, here is a picture of my throat:

I first noticed these ulcers when I had a sore throat 3 months ago. I went to my GP and he told me they were either due to a viral or bacterial infection and would go on their own. He told me to gargle Corsodyl. I did and they haven't changed. I have also tried gargling salt water, L-lysine but nothing has helped at all.
Nux Vomica and Gelsemium are good for what ails you. Nux Vomica is for nausea, and can even cure ulcers! Gelsemium is good for anxiety and stage fright. Helps calm the stomach. - Believe it or not, dilll pickles sometimes help as they have vinegar which settles the acid in the stomach. Cabbage is also an ulcer cure. Cooked or in coleslaw. - Just please don't have the surgery that doctors are recommending. I had a fundoplication and and thinking of having it reversed. Big mistake.
While waiting to get in I continued to get worse. Heartburn, throat feels like its on fire, chest pain, acid taste, indigestion, burping, acid coming up every time I burp. Finally got in to the gastro dr. He put me on protonix, and scheduled me for an EGD and Gastric Emptying Test. Both came back fine, but still feel horrible. Went back to the gastro today to follow up. He changed my dose of protonix, and said to see how that worked.
On November 16, due to the efforts to cough I bleed a little bit. I noted dry throat and oral ulcers. And thrush (candida). I had my duo test for hiv and sifilis after 29 days from my first exposure being negative. The synthomps remain. I read that oral ulcers and thrush is connected with HIV. Could be other StD? I am in panic.

After the 10days I still had a sore throat that feels like an ulcer down my throat, and I also still had about 10 mouth ulcers as well as swollen gums. I went to my Internal MD and he put me on Medrol dose pack and Levaquin. This initially helped w/ the mouth ulcers but the one down my throat got much worse. I was given a Celestone inj and put on Orapred.

The HIV patient has sore throat and throat ulcers. Immediately without sterilizing the equipment, the doctor used the same spoon like equipment to check my throat. I am worried, whether I will get HIV infection. Please help. The spoon like equipment might have contacted the sore throat and throat ulcers of the HIV patient and it could have contacted me too. Please help with your suggestions.
We have the same sores and the same occurrence of them, but I am also getting the throat ulcers and he is not. In addition, I have noticed that I have had tonsilloliths for sometime, and I'm thinking that my tonsils are harboring some kind of bacteria or something. I've also wondered if it's possible that participating in oral activities could have made them occur more frequently on the throat.
I then began to feel one of my glands in my throat began to swell up and i also had a pretty wet ticklish cough associated with the swelling of the gland too. I decided to take some paracetamol to try and get rid of it but it still feels swollen.
In the third to fourth week my left armpit was swollen but it vanished. I also noticed some red marks on my groin area which happened to vanish in the third week but these marks look white now. A scab also appeared near the spot on my penis.

back at the beginning of April this year I had a sore throat, I looked and saw I had a few ulcers/blisters in the back of my throat, I have never had these before, and they weren't there previous to that, I had just come off Omeprazole which I had been taking for acid reflux, and had been on them for 9 weeks.I had also just come off Yasmin contraceptive pill that i had been taking for around 8 years.
My guess is, that unless a swab test was taken from your throat that was positive for HSV 1, your doctor was covering all the possible diagnoses for ulcers in the throat and that would have to include HSV. Does your doctor know that you tested negative for HSV 1 repeatedly? Do you know if you had a swab test from the ulcers and what the result was?
This time I went to the doctor because the back of my throat also had ulcers. The doctor swabbed one of the ulcers and said she was gonna send it to be tested for herpes and for shingles. She said if they didnt call then the tests were negative. So I didn't get a call, the ulcers slowly went away, and I was relieved. However, in the past week and a bit the ulcers have been reappearing, and the glands in my neck are swollen and painful.
