Avatar n tn I recently went back to the doctor and i am on Biaxin, it cleared my sinus infection, but i have 1 day left on these pills, and my throat still has all the same problems. I was looking online and i have ALL the symptoms of Larynx Cancer, now im REALLY worried, does anyone have any advice about this, i get paranoia really badly. I have a allergy test of june 27 (i don't think that is the problem), and ultra sound tests on July 6 for my throat.
Avatar m tn Hi I performed 6 weeks ago a cunnilingus on a girl with HPV, and after that I have started to fell something in my throat with lots of phlegms, does anybody knows something about oral or larynx HPV???
Avatar f tn You are right. The doctor did the laryngoscopy and my throat looks normal. I still have the symptom but she says maybe the acid-blocking pills will help. She is being very thorough and will do another examination in a month. Thank you so very much for your support and expert advice.
Avatar m tn Do you have deviated nasal septum or sinusitis? Chronic discharge from sinuses drain out constantly in throat, causing sticky throat. Treatment is anti histamincs, decongestants along with antibiotics. Try steam inhalation along with ambroxol. For laryngitis, usually steriods are prescribed but best is to consult ENT surgeon. Indirect laryngoscopy is done to see larynx condition.
Avatar n tn I told my doctor about it and it sometimes feels like breathing is becoming an effort and tightness in my throat. He sent me to an ENT. The ENT looked down my throat past my voicebox. He said the vocal cords had irritation and it looks like LPR. I have been cutting back on coffee and chocolate but feel like it's moving into my chest. At least a few times a day it becomes very noticeable then eases up. Not sure if it's irritated from the acid. Also sleeping with head of bed elevated.
Avatar m tn I been having pains on the sides of my throat, NOT like a sore throat, but a pain that hurts when I sneeze, cough or sometimes just turn my head. Its down around my Adam's apple or maybe just below it on both sides. I told my Dr. and he said, gargle with salt water. But it not a sore throat pain. Any ideas what might be causing this pain ?
Avatar n tn Apparently it can take some days or weeks for the inflammation to go away, and for the damaged cilia in the throat to repair themselves, but if you can keep acid off the throat/larynx for a while, much of the time the condition will permanently resolve. If you think you have LPR reflux, DON'T JUST LIVE WITH IT!
Avatar n tn Reflux- stomach acid can enter the upper wind pipe.An ENT can scope the the throat and upper larynx in office-- quick, painless and definitive 2- Sinusitis 3- Post nasal drip.
Avatar m tn I have a strange feeling in my throat and I think I might be able to touch weird painless formations on my throat, as far as my index finger touches. I am not sure of how a throat should feel, I am scared. I actually went to an infectious disease expert and he checked my throat with an otoscope, apparently, and he told me that he did not see anything. However I am going to visit an otorhinolaryngologist for a possible laryngoscopy, I am just so scared.
Avatar m tn I take nexium, which helps my reflux symptoms such as a burning throat or coughing violently in the middle of the night, but it does not treat the breathing problems. I've been dealing with the problem for so many years that I'm used to it, but I'm curious if there's anything I can do to actually eradicate this symptom. Also, antacids intensify the effect of Adderall and I don't really like that side effect.
Avatar m tn A few days ago, while trying to belt out some higher notes, I hurt my voice. My voice is hoarse, and in the hollow of my throat, right between my collar bones, there is a burning sensation. My voice cracks occasionally, and I noticed a loss of one octave spanning across the past five months, and it gets tired really easily. I have put myself on vocal rest, and have been keeping the talking to a minimum. I also noticed that when I sing, my larynx goes up really high. What could this be?
Avatar f tn Got brochchitis on 9/13/11. antibiotic & 4 days of steroid..Felt better until steroids were done.Diagnosed w/asthma in 2003.On advair since then. after the vronchitis, had an asthma attack ended up in ER. Was admitted for 3 days. IV steroids and breathing treatments. Started coughing up mucus, gagging and choking. Told the dr that I was experiencing these symptoms, still sent me home w/7 days oral steroids. At home experienced gagging, choking and suffocation.
Avatar f tn ) no doctor has found the cause of those problems. I have been to an ENT, who did a test numbing the nose and throat and sticking a tube up the nose and down the throat to look (I don't recall the name of the test) and found nothing. That was it from him. I have seen 2 separate gastroenterologists, one did an endoscopy and found nothing. I doubt the two issues are related but I thought I'd throw that info out there just in case.
Avatar m tn Hey there- Well, i have now been suffering from a chronic tickle in my throat that causes me to clear my throat constantly. I have seen 2 ENT specialist, a pulmonary specialist, and an allergist. And the ENT doctor said asthma, the allergist Dx with some allgeries that she believes causes an increase of mucus that drains to the back of my throat. I was also scoped and one doctor said I have vocal fatigue, even though she saw nothing and my vocal chords were normal.
Avatar m tn He seems to have regular problems with a narrowness in the throat or some kind of possibly allergic reaction. His symptoms are similar to choking, he dry retches but nothing comes out and complains of stomach pains, which makes me very self conscious as I do his cooking. After an attack he gets very angry and emotional and seeks to blame me a little in trying to work out why it is happening. He refuses to ask for help or seek medical advice and says that it only happens every few years.
Avatar n tn Now, more recently, I find myself sometimes feeling as if my throat (especially during the evening) has closed up and I am having to force air in by forceably swallowing. During these "attacks", I am literally gasping for air and trying to force air in. VERY SCARY, especially since it just happened again last night (it woke me up) and I thought my airway was not going to "open up". I'm actually afraid to go to sleep.
Avatar f tn But drinking lot of fluids, sucking lozenges, gargle with salt water, breathing moist air to soothe sore throat, refraining from taking decongestants (because they dry your throat), resting your larynx will help you. Antibiotics and anti inflammatory against prescription will help you. I suggest you to consult ENT specialist. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn What are the possible causes of unilateral (one side only) throat pain? I have had pain (sharp, like a knife or a tearing sensation) in the right side of my throat at about the level of the larynx for well over a month. It is mild until I yawn, then it is very sharp. It radiates into the right ear. I've been searching on the internet, but can't find anything specific besides "unilateral throat pain should be investigated by a physician".
329165 tn?1515471990 It is possible that I have nodules (non-cancerous) that have grown in my throat/larynx due to the longterm GERD I had. I am going to see an ENT for a Scope and get to the bottom of it. And if it needs surgical removal then I'll handle that when I get to it. Hopefully someone can learn from my experience by reading this one day.
Avatar f tn Mix 4 oz of cherry benadryl (relieves scratchy throat) with 4 oz of cherry Kaopectate (coats the throat stops the burn). Then just gargle swish it in around in your throat. Can swallow it if you want to.
