I agree its good to weigh your horses feed but a genaric feed calculater may not be a cure all for everyone. When my horses are not in high work they get a low protien high fiber diet.Lotsa different horses on alot of diferent feed routines. Roughage,roughfage!!!! If a horse needs alittle extra a high fat low protien grain is great. Adding alittle oil adds fat too. Rarely an older horse or injured horse will get weightbuilder suppliment to help out w/ weight.

For the past maybe two years I have had charlie horses occuring in my neck. Or maybe its in my throat because when a charlie horse comes about, if I swallow, it tightens it more. The on-set of the charlie horse I have noticed has varied. I had one once after coughing up some water I had swallowed while swimming. Another time I was playing with my dog on my bed (laying on my back) and extended my head back and a charlie horse started.

I can't seem to get any sleep at night. It's extremely hard to get comfortable. If I move a certain way to fast I feel pain at the bottom of my belly. My legs cramps really bad and i get really bad charlie horses (it's so painful) during the night hours which causes me to toss and turn trying to find a comfortable position but nothing is working. It's so bad that my fiancé don't even want to sleep with me.

I have lost interest in my horses ,which is not like me at all. I have always lived to spend time my horses . It takes everything in me to make myself go out of my home any more . I get frustrated easily ,lose my temper over much of nothing . When I get angry I end up breaking something . I too have problems with my balance now as well .Fell and crushed my wrist a year ago . After reading Your post I realize my husband and I have many of the same symptoms .

Does anybody know why I get Charlie horses in my calf when I'm sleeping? Its only happened a few times but boy does it hurt!

Thank you for writing. In my opiniion, eyes are nothing to mess with on one's own without the advice of a veterinarian. Your own vet would be the best as a a hands-on examination where he could pull the lid back if necessary, etc. Also, have you tried phoning your vet? Best of luck and keep us posted.

It can involve one or both eyes. The affected eye, is the right eye in your horses case. An eye with a strabismus will show excess sclera (white of the eye), and the pupil will appear to be slanted abnormally. A horse with this condition will have difficulty seeing out of the affected eye which will result in stumbling, bumping into things on the affected side, and increased nervousness (spooking easily).

Fatigue that is so extreme, BP that falls as low as 70/35 and causes me to pass out, recurring pancreatitis, headaches, permanent swollen glands in throat and axilla, itchy skin that rashes up at will, and a beautiful Mediterranean sun tan without the holiday. Nausea when eating, loss of hearing in one ear and blurry vision also add to the pot pourri of symptoms. I have had every specialty look at specific areas except Endocrinologist and Rheumatologist. im giving her extra food and she is rugged in field with hayage but it is still dropping off her.does any one have any adivse in what i could do.

Simply mixing metamucil with oil then forcing this down the horses throat with a tube. This should help him pass anything he has in his system. This also works well if they've ingested too much sand, etc. and you are worried about colic. Hope it all works out for you and your friend!

I have owned and rode horses all my life. I am having difficulty coping with not being able to ride because ppl told me I cant. Is it seriously that big a deal to ride? I woke up today feeling sharp pain in my chest/lung area and up through my throat. I am having a lot of trouble breathing in and feel like its an infection somewhere but I can't pinpoint where because it hurts throughout my chest and into my throat. It doesn't hurt when I cough or when I'm in an upright sitting position but it hurts a lot when I lay down probably because of gravity. Im 37 years old male, start of 2014 I got really sick, lost 17kg in two weeks and started having non stop throat problems, My local GP is useless! All he has diagnosed me with is anxiety and has given me somac for acid reflux which is not helping. It sounds like you need some rest and gargle with salt water to heal your throat. You can put 1 tsp of salt in a cup of warm water and gargle several times a day. A little honey in warm water or herbal tea helps sooth the throat as well. The blood test was for HSV past infection unless it was IgM postiive? Usually the IgG is positive and that is past infection. If they don't say it is past infection unless they did a Herpes culture for type 1 and 2?

Its just when these things are going down. I have no pains in my chest only my throat. Its like its on fire. The cooling of eating ice makes it better after a while.

On Jan 16 i had a severe panic attack. I have been in treatment for depression since i had a Hysterectomy 3 years ago. 2 weeks after my panic/anxiety attack i have had severe muscle twitching through the whole body BP has been elevated. I recently visit an ENT because i was having problems with phelgm clearing, horseness with my throat. ENT said i have a few vocal cord noduls and my throat looked a little sore. He has me on prilosec, because he figures it GERD. Med seem to help a little, but still having phelgm and horseness. Will visit ENT again in a few weeks. Another problem is my neck is begining to cause pain on bith left and right sides.

I have been having throat problems for a few months. I have had an EGDP, Upper Gi Series, and modified barium swallow and continue to feel like there's something stuck in my throat. I was told I have a heinal hernia. What other tests can I take to get help and be healed?

I have been experiencing a variety of symptoms increasingly over the past two months including pronounced fatigue, constipation, cough and intermittent sore throat along with ear and jaw pain, swelling around my eyes each morning, a 10-pound weight gain in 30 days, charlie horses, and a marked mental fog and forgetfulness. Is it possible for a hiatial hernia to cause problems with my throat and voice.
