throat pain swollen

Its been 2 days that I notice my puppy have her little throat swollen. I felt it and it feels hard its like a ball. I was wondering if its bad. She looks fine to me shes really playful...i dont know if shes in pain.

As I was sweeping it I must have breathed some in. Since then this is two months I have had problem with swollen uvula in the throat, hoarsness and some wheezing on exhale, also swollen glands in the neck and burning pain in the neck area. I also have itchy forehead, with little rash. I am tired and worn out most of the time. Could this be some allergy or virus? I went to ENT today and he never said much, only that he wants me to have allergy tests done. It bothers me a lot lately!

I have a horrible cavity that need to be taken care of but we do not have the funds as my husband lost his job. I noticed a lump on the left side of my throat Thursday and about 4 or 5 hrs later I became ver I'll with aches and chills. Now, my throat is sore, my ear hurts and my mouth is burning. I wouldn't be surprised if it was swollen shut tomorrow being that I can't open it too much now. The lumps about quarter size now and is extremely tender.

So recently I have been having throat pain, and i took a look in the mirror with a flash light. I noticed I have yellow stuff in the back on my throat that wont move( tried with a q-tip). My tonsils are also swollen and inflamed, they also have the yellow stuff on it, that stuff wipes off though. The yellow stuff looks like mucous to me. I also have pain in my ears, head, and stomach. What could this be a sign of?

So last Monday I found out I had a throat inflection , as days started to pass I've noticed my gums somewhat red and really hard for me to chew because of the pain. About Saturday morning my throat started to feel fine but my gums are still in pain. They're red, swollen, and whitish canker sores on them , any idea on what it can be or what's going on?

My sore throat was very severe for about a week in May and then it stopped hurting but my left tonsil has remained swollen. The lymph nodes in the left side of my neck have been swollen this whole time too, and I have armpit pain on the left side. I recently developed some sort of illness with coughing, severe sore throat, and sneezing AGAIN... I went to the doctor and they have no idea what it is! she also took a swab of my throat to see is it was the streptococcus infection (strep throat) but I did not get told when the results would be back. My tonsils aren't as sore because I've been staying on top of pain relief and I've been taking the right dosage of antibiotic which my ear infection isn't as bad but tonsils haven't seemed to decrease in size. I am a 37 yr old female..I have been to the Dr. 5-6 times over past 6 months for what he said were ear infections..I would take the antibiotics then within a week or 2 after ending, my ears would hurt again,Mostly my right ear and the gland on that side of my throat would swell and hurt a bit.But I have had pain in both ears.I just finished another antibiotic and within days my gland is swollen and tender and I feel the pain in my ear..I have bypassed gen Dr. and went to a ENT.

I’m 17 years old and for at least 5 months I’ve been having shortness of breath. Have you had your throat checked for a strep infection? You could also perhaps have mono if you had a sore throat, swollen glands and high fever, fatigue etc. A lot of things will cause high ESR and swollen glands. What other symptoms do you have?

This test result shows that you do not have HIV. if you have swollen lymph nodes, as I said before, you should look for other explanations.

I think I feel my right tonsil swollen and it seems to come and go, but for the most part it is swollen. No sore throat. I have had blood test done and methacoline challenge test done. Blood work shows allergies and methacoline challenge test shows it could be vocal cord dysfunction. I still have to see a allergist and speech therapist. My question is does my swollen tonsil have anything to do with this? I also had chest x-ray done and shows thoracic spine changes.

not bad just a little. me and my wife was outside talking tonight and my throat pain shot through the roof for no reason. now it hurts to swallow, cough, talk,and hurts to touch the outside of my throat down by my collar bone. my wife looked in my mouth to see if she could see anything and the inside of my cheeks was swollen to. swollen so bad they puffed over my teeth when i open my mouth. nothing else hurts or anything. i feel fine other than my throat and my cheeks being swollen.

The problem is that when I search for symptoms everywhere says that sore throat goes along with that symptom. I do not have a sore throat. It has gotten bad enough now that my throat feels closed off and when you look inside my mouth you can clearly see there is not much space between tonsils and my uvula is rubbing one of them.THe tonsils appear to be slighty red but other than that they do not appear to have spots or white anything on them.

t know if this is the correct forum to post this question but every once in a while I experience some sort of swollen feeling in my throat. I have felt it a few times recently but before this I had not really felt since last year. I have performed oral sex on my boyfriend of three years from time to time...we don't do it that much though. I was just wondering if this is a major concern or warning sign of something major. If one tonsil is swollen and is painful, it could most probably be due to tonsillitis. Throat pain, difficulty swallowing, fever, scratchiness in the throat, post nasal drip, malaise and loss of appetite are the other symptoms of tonsillitis. It can be caused by bacteria like streptococcus or it could be a viral infection. Bacterial infections need antibiotics. Sinusitis can cause a throat infection.

Over the course of the day my symptoms worsened, I had a severly sore throat, swollen glands, headache, all of my joints ached but mot my muscles and had no fever. The next day I saw my family doctor. He tested for strep, (test was negative). He said my lungs sounded good, no sinus problems and blood pressure was fine. Said he had no idea what it was. I was instructed to take Ibuprofen and chloriseptic spray for thoat to help with pain.

Everything is NOT normal, I have a swollen node protruding slightly visible from my throat!! A constant lump in my throat!! After seeing the doc last week trying to get answers and a biopsy (to which she ignored) i'm crazy scared. the doctor expects me to be pleased with n I don't know what it is diagnoses. I'm currently looking for another doctor.

My throat has been irritated for about a month and the right side felt like it was a little swollen when I would swallow. I've also been having a bit of an earache, off and on, and recently started getting pain in my ear while chewing food. It was to the point this morning where I couldn't really open my mouth all the way because of my ear hurting. Finally went to doctor today and he said I must have infection coming from my sinuses, which really haven't been bothering me much.

Lymph nodes are not swollen and the pain comes and goes. Driving me crazy. Starting to think salivary gland is blocked as my.mouth is a bit dry.

Thank you all for your comments. I finally insisted that my doctor do a throat culture yesterday because my neck pain was so bad. My throat didn't look very red, but it was the only thing I could think of. The culture came back positive for strep, so I hope that once I get started on antibiotics, I will start feeling better:-) I am just angry that I spent all that money on an MRI, CT scan, and x-ray! Thanks!
