My daughter has been complaining of throat pain for the last 3 months. we have taken her to her pediatrician and she couldnt figure out what was wrong with her. We took her to the ENT and he didnt find anything wrong with her. She complains every day and wakes up crying during the night that her throat and ears hurt her. Could this be allergies? we have a dog and a cat in the house. We need some answers im tired of seeing her in pain.

Is it safe? My elder one (aged 3+) is still not okay and is having too much pain in throat too now and running nose.

I'm not an expert, but I heard from many including CDC, transmission has to be "direct" genital skin to skin, not from temp. host. However you'd never know, but if it can transmits the way you describe than most people on this earth already carry the virus.

My son is not even 24 hours out of surgery and you would NEVER know!!!!! He looks a little more tired than normal but that happens with his allergies which he is dealing with as well. No pain meds (dr didn't prescribe anything, said Motrin and Tylenol would work) and NO PAIN!!! How do these kids bounce back like this??? He woke up this morning (he got out of surgery at 1am, mind you) and said to me, 'Mom if u would have woke me up I could have gone to school' WHAT?!?!?!?!

Most sore throats are caused by viruses so he may not get exposed to this same strep throat if the kids have a sore throat at school. Strep throat is contagious and so he and the other kids should not share utinsils, and you should throw away his tooth brush after the antibiotics are finished as he can reinfect himself. You and other family members and friends could have been exposed before he was put on antibiotics but he would be ok now since he is on antibiotics.

al that helps is if I give her pain meds...If I say screaming I realy mean screaming...I have 3 kids and not 1 of the others did this....so easy to think she has pain, but she cant always be in pain...am I missing something?????

I did gargling for 3 days with salt and used panadol tabs for 2 days. The pain has gone and throat pain is reduced drastically and i stopped gargling as well. After a day a very mild throat irritating persists. I started gargling again. Also I was using fucidin for the rash on the neck. The throat is scratchy and irritating, but no problem while eating and having fluids.

question for me is WHY does the throat spray numb one side of my throat almost completely yet, cause me excrutiating pain on the other? worse yet is i have this ugly red rash on my chest and under one armpit (same side of body) and these boils or large pussfilled sacs forming on my chest as well.

Hi Doctor. I went to urgent care thinking I have strep throat. The rapid was negative but they still gave me penicillin twice a day for 10 days. They sent in a throat culture as well. The scoreness started 2 days ago. I have white spots still and the pain is brutal. I've been on the meds just under 24hrs, when will I start to feel some relief? Anything to help the pain?

Also sometimes I still have the mild throat pain ,intermittent pain like squeezing and mild pain under the jaws (tonsiltis). I was really getting worried ,as despite using antibiotics I was still having this irritating throat. Also I developed a rash on the shoulder on 38th day and it has vanished in a day. My kids have given me a run this week!!!! Earlier in the week, my youngest son, 11 was up visiting my brother at his summer house, a little over an hour away. Does GERD cause throat pain? I will just get this dull aching pain feeling in the bottom of my throat. I don't think it is from eating though. I usually get it when I am stressed or excited about something or I've noticed when I get really angry and arguing about something. Is this normal? So recently I have been having throat pain, and i took a look in the mirror with a flash light. I noticed I have yellow stuff in the back on my throat that wont move( tried with a q-tip). I keep a humidifier on. It helps that my throat doesn't get dry. Also I do lozenges. Right now I am having a litle pain in my nostrils. I have to watch that closely. when I tilt my head back and gulp water, I sometimes get a pain on the left hand side of my throat. My name is Jessica a 21 year old mother of 3 girls ages 1, 3, and 5..I have been addicted to ANY pain med i can get since i was 17 so about 4 years..off and on, meaning trying to stop then starting back..My question is has anyone had to go through the detox period while having small kids at home with you? I am on day one and having the terrible hot/cold spells..Telling my family is not an option so i will have to endure it while being a housewife and stay at home mom..Experiences please??

Ive also had some shoulder pain within the last 2-3 days. Ive read a little about the process of seroconversion. I am very overweight, and concerned my immune system might take longer to develop antibodies. Ive also had a somewhat dry cough as well.
