I took Augmentin and my ear felt better, but it took weeks for my sore throat to get better. During pregnancy our immune systems are suppressed, so we are much more susceptible to everything, besides the fatigue and aches we already feel from pregnancy. There are antibiotics you can take if you do end up with an ear infection, and the one thing is you should always get checked out if you are feeling sick. During pregnancy a mild illness can turn serious fast.

The sooner she gets medical attention, the better her chances are of saving the pregnancy and protecting herself from hemorrhage, infection etc.. The truth is what it is.. Like it or not. Why do you have to be so eager to jump down her throat?? Not everything has to be a fight. She asked you to let it go, so LET IT GO!

Amoxicillin is a class B drug meaning that there have been no official human trials during pregnancy to determine its effect. There have however, been extensive animal trials which suggest that it has no adverse effects on the pregnancy. Unless you have had a prior allergy to penicillins, you should have no problem tolerating the amoxicillin. Taking the medication with more food/water hopefully will be helpful. Dr.
I was on antibiotic for a full two weeks when I was around 6 weeks pregnant for a really bad throat and sinus infection.

I have recurrent cold symptoms during my period. I have noticed the symptoms for about a year but for the last six months they have happened every month around the third day of my period. Symptoms include aching joints, blocked nose and headaches as well as generally feeling awful. Periods are heavy and painful with clotting for about seven-nine days. Cold Symptoms usually last 5-7days.
LATELY I HAVE BEEN HAVING ALOT OF BLOOD CLOTS DURING MY CYCLE AND THIS MONTH I WAS HAVING A HEAVY PERIOD AND THEN WHEN I WENT TO THE BATHROOM I PASSED A BLOOD CLOT AS BIG AS A GRAPEFRUIT AND THEN MY PERIOD STOPPED NOW IT'S BACK AGAIN VERY LIGHT. I HAVE HAD MY TUBES TIED AND ALREADY HAVE 3 GROWN CHILDREN. SHOULD I SEE THE GYNECOLOGIST OR IS THIS NORMAL?
The cannabis is only PART of the treatment for me. I also take L-theanine and during a kidney infection D-mannose. I was introduced to ginger but also juve-cal and vinegar water. All these things are part of a lifestyle change - and in combination when I do it faithfully every single day I HAVE FOUND RELIEF all days except the 3 days before and during ovulation. The remedy rarely works with any single part of it alone - but in combination they are godsend.
I've tried drinking soda, swallowing air, etc, and it just makes me feel uncomfortable but doesn't make me burp. Instead, my throat gurgles. The best way to describe the sound is like a stomach growling, only in the throat. It's incredibly embarrassing and I can't prevent it from happening. It tends to happen a lot after I drink juice or soda, but also sometimes after meals where I only drank water.
I believe that I may have a yeast infection. But I was wondering if its just possible to get one from being touched while messing around. There was no (pardon) penis insertion but deffinetly hands. && if this is possible can you also get a yeast infec. from going from anal to vaginal intercorse? Thank you!
My husband is asthmatic and his inhaler kills certain bacteria in his throat which apparently can occasionally cause a yeast infection in his throat. Eating the yogurt also took care of his sore throats!
Every month i have symptoms like breast tenderness, tiredness, digestive problems, bloating and twinges in lower abdomen for about a week prior to my period. All of these symptoms resemble early pregnancy symptoms.Since i have been ttc,it becomes very difficult for me to understand during the two week wait.Kindly share your opinions.
hie i had an hsg and laparoscopy done 2 weeks ago, for me it was not really painful as it was done under anasthetic, had the normal dizziness and sore throat. The results of the test were all clear, nothing wrong. My husband also did his test which showed everything was normal. I wanted to know if anyone had gone through the test and was told everything was normal and go pregnant. I am turning 34 tomorrow actually.
Has anyone had any luck with pregnancy after a laparoscopy? We've been trying for two years and decided it was time. I have mine scheduled in two weeks and am wondering what my chances are afterward and was hoping for some success stories! Also, what all is involved with this and what is the recovery time?
My friend took those b4 and during her pregnancy. She has a healthy 2 year old and trying again. G'luck and baby dust to you!!!
--due to taking a LOT of supplements...and then I was pregnant. During my pregnancy with my DS child, I was constantly worried that something was wrong with the pregnancy...didn't have testing because homebirth midwife refused to help me get testing...and my instincts were right. This time I am not worried, but the Dr. did test my progesterone and it was 14.7 one week, then went to 11.2 the next so I am now on progesterone. Next week I will have an ultrasound to check for fetal heart tones.
I was kinda concerned, and a little excited to see my baby on the screen so early in my pregnancy.(I was only 10 weeks) During the ultrasound, the technician was very quiet, and that was unusaul, because she was the same tech that had done all of my previous ultrasounds from previous pregnancies. She left the room, and brought the dr back in to tell me that my baby had stopped developing, and that all they could see on the ultrasound was a yolk sac.
I took two home pregnancy tests when it came up positive I went to the hospital because I freaked. Well I'm pregnant. The problem is it is to early to tell is it is a tubal pregnancy or not. So I wait.
It is recommended that pregnant women recieve the H1N1, as well as regular, flu shot during pregnancy. Here is quote from Dr Enoch Choi on a recent thread regarding this important topic. "Why does CDC advise pregnant women to receive the 2009 H1N1 influenza (flu) vaccine (shot)? Getting the flu shot is the single best way to protect against the flu. It is important for a pregnant woman to receive both the 2009 H1N1 flu shot and the seasonal flu shot.
I am looking for more info on pregnancy after an endometrial ablation. I had an ablation in May 2002. January 2003 I was not feeling well and went to the family doctor. She thought it may be an ectopic pregnancy since I was told I was sterile. I had an ultrasound to discover it was an interuterine pregnancy and I was about 9 weeks. I am now 17 weeks and for the past month trying to decide to terminate or continue.
I've also had a lot more infections since this starting happening. Ear infection, flu, tooth infection and my throat always seems a lil dry itchy. Also had soreness in my armpits. SPots on my arm that look like insect bites or something. Discoloration of the face that seems fine right now, but I had patches of my skin getting really light. I'm dark skinned so I could really see the discoloration. I've always had dry skin, but it was worse in 2008 right after this protected sex thing.
I got the yeast infection during pregnancy and during my first year postpartum. My case is hormonal and it might come back, but I don't have insurance and Monistat 7 day worked after the 2nd day so I don't mind depending on it. Good luck everyone...
Both times I got my BFP I was constantly thirsty. I even googled it and never did find it on any early pregnancy symptoms list, but both times I had it, so for me I know it is. The first BFP wasn't viable but this was is, and the thirst thing has stayed the whole pg. I have to have a glass of water with me all the time. If I'm out and about, I stop at the store and get something to drink. Before I leave my house in the morning, I take a glass of ice water with me to work.
If you suffer from persistant drainage, you most likely have an allergy issue. If not, then you could have a sinus infection--you should see an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat specialist) about these issues. They can do a scan of your sinuses and see if you have any blockages...that would explain a lot of your symptoms.
With my first child I took one of those stupid early pregnancy tests (the ones you can take 3 days before your missed period) and it came up negative. I then took one at my Obgyn's office the day my period was supposed to start and it was negative. My doctor advised me to wait 3 days and to test again. I did and it was finally positive. The one thing I noticed when I finally tested postive was that there was a noticable difference in the way my urine smelled.
