t really act like it was a major problem she just said it must be some sort of viral infection and should go away on its own. It has been about a week since I went to the doctor and I haven't noticed much of a change. Sometimes my lymph nodes seem smaller but then other times they seem like there is no change. One thing is for sure, they aren't getting any bigger but I don't know why they aren't going away if I feel fine and healthy. My throat is also still red on the sides.
Though the climate here is very cold in southern part of India, I doubt whether this could be a symptom or indication of HPV related infection and I fear it could lead to Throat Cancer. I am an active oral sex partner to my girl friend.
My doctor says its sore throat due to cold whether. Could any experienced or expert throw some light on my doubt and fear.

Yes, HPV can infect the throat and it may be related to cancer of the throat (not the mouth) HOWEVER, the risks for these cancers appear to be influenced far, far more by previously described risk factor such as smoking (this is the biggest one) and heavy drinking. So Oral sex isn't totally "safe" but in my opinion, it isn't much of a risk either. If my partner had HPV, and was wart free (i would want those treated before hand) I would have no problem performing oral sex. Hello im typing today because ive been smoking for the past 10 months about 5 cigarretes daily but the last two months i increased my cigarrete intake and wasnt eating right due to some stressful days i was going thru , so ive notice this past month of april that i have like a lump in my throat and i havent been having regular bowel movents is like im constipated and im really concerned because i think i might have throat cancer.

hi i am 3o years old i have tronsils in my throat docter checked and tested for throat culture the test cam negative. then i gone through antibiatics . no changes . i am almost gone through 3 antibaitics. but still lymph nodes are swells often.i have small lump in side of my teeth wall.end lf the teeth wall it has the swelling nurves. if anyone knows this is teeth problem or mouth cancer syptoms.i am scared to death.please help me.
I was told that I could have a urinary tract infection. I drank Cranberry Juice Concentrate and those symptoms disappeared, but I developed a sore throat. I took an anti-allergen and my sore throat disappeared. One week after that (and three weeks after the sexual encounter on New Year's Eve), I experienced a raw, tenderness/pain on the right side of my throat. That has persisted until today. I would no scrape back there. That's something that could cause discomfort overall. What other symptoms do you have besides appearance? Do you have a sore throat? You are saying that you had a bacterial throat infection back in December? Tonsilitis? Did you take antibiotics? White spots on your throat are not indicative of throat cancer. Despite all the publicity in recent years about one HPV type (HPV 16) causing throat cancer, that remains a rare problem and even in people with oral HPV 16 infection, the large majority don't get cancer.
Based on this question and the one you asked last month on the herpes expert forum, you seem somewhat overly concerned about STD transmission by mouth or through other non-sexual routes. Such infections are extremely rare if they occur at all. Don't worry about it.
