That being said, swollen lymph nodes or enlarged thyroid or thyroid nodules can all give a lump in the
throat feeling, especially when swallowing. If you still have swollen
lymph nodes from your
throat infection, it could be causing the lump in the throat feeling.
An alternative, which I bring up because I sometimes deal with anxiety, is that anxiety and stress can also cause a lump in the throat feeling, and this can have absolutely nothing to do with swollen lymph nodes or the thyroid.
