I was given a choice to either quit smoking and hope that we were early enough to have caught it, and hope that my throat repairs itself, or end up with throat cancer and all that goes with it. So please dont wait, get to a Doctor. I may not be here today if I didnt Jump to it.

When I cough severely and spit the phlegm there is a streak of blood, not red red but like an orange-red color.

Asthma can be aggravated or precipitated by smoking and COPD is caused due to smoking. So any which ways smoking is a definite no-no. Your friend needs to quit and quit immediately. Worst case scenario - smoking can cause lung cancer. Your friend needs to see a chest physician / pulmonologist to get an xray done - to rule out any other lung disease, and most importantly a pulmonary function testing too. He will be put on inhaler medication most probably. Goodluck.

I have been reading that HPV is linked to throat cancer, so i am EXTREMELY worried and anxious!! I am going to the doctor next week. My questions are.... 1. My GYN told me I was now immune to the strain of HPV i have, even though I may be immune could i still get warts? 2. I thought low risk strains caused warts and high risk strains caused cancer. I had both warts and dysplasia....Is there a strain that can cause both? or do i have 2 strains? 3.

He has no hives, vomiting or diarrhoea so i don't think it is food related. He had instant reaction around spray paint so i think it is allergy to a chemical. He smokes all day.

My mom is fairly young and has been diagnosed w/ lung cancer. Just worried there's a genetic thing going on there. Obviously I'm overreacting a little bit, but I just want to know what this might be. I guess it could very well be a cold, but it hasn't gotten worse at all. Just a constant annoying feeling of almost needing to cough.
Well I hope you're right. I go for either my consulation or biopsy tomorrow. I don't know what he plans to do, but I would think he needs to talk to me first to see what and why he is biopsying, then do the biopsy. All I know is I have to be there at 1:00pm tomorrow. My abdominal pain came back the other day too. I find it weird that antibiotics will make me feel fine for a week or so then everything comes back. If it was cancer, would the anti's have the same effect?
