ive had a stiff neck since having an operation 6 months ago physio isnt helping much and now for the past 8 weeks ive had a severe pain in my throat on the left side around my lynph nodes but the pain moves from up to behind my left ear to sometimes being under my chin! my gp cant find any lumps and an endoscopy didnt show up anything? pain killers are doing nothing and the pain is constant! i cant take much more! sometimes its a little painfull to swallow but i can eat ok.
It is throbbing and causing drainage to the back of my throat. It seems to only be the right side. The left side of my nose feels completely normal. It's much more sensitive to smells and breathing now. I'm not sure if this might have something to do with having small nostrils or not. I haven't had any nosebleeds, but I did nearly faint tonight after touching it for a moment to see if the swelling had gone down. Any ideas of what this could be?
Can you call him and ask for another antibiotic? I don't know other antibiotics that wouldn't hurt your stomach.
The pain meds do work, but at the same time that spot under and around my ear hurts a lot (plus this feeling like the side of my throat is swollen and sore .. but doctors never see anything). Why.. are decongestants, allergy meds, narcotic pain meds all making that area of my face MISERABLE!? The pain can be so bad that it radiates into that side of the sinuses. The left side of my face does it..but only a little. Before I took MTX, pain meds didnt do that.
I do have TMJ, I clench my jaw at night and often during the day. I have been having ear pain on that side. I did a endoscopy of my nose, ear and throat and the doctor said I was fine, just inflamed. Any ideas why inflammation can last this long? I was concerned with cancer but she told me she saw and felt nothing cancerous in my tonsil and throat. My ear is functioning properly but has pressure.
My ear hurts occasionally and last week I actually got sick and my throat hurt very bad. I also noticed a lymph node on my trapezius muscle between my ear and my shoulder. Can my wisdom tooth be causing all this? Please help I am very stressed about this. I am a hypochondriac so that doesn't help. Going to dentist tomorrow to see.
She has been to two nurse practioners and one doctor and two ear nose and throat specialists. So the nurse practioners said they didn't know what it could be they said it was not cysts though. The specialists said it was nothing to be concerned with. Then my wife went to her family doctor and she said it was not normal and it was something to be concerned with because its not normal.
Pain is becoming very irritation and unbearable. Now im having deep throat pain on my right side everytime i swallow including the jaw and inner ear pain at once. That pain in my throat hurts whn i turn my head to the left but not the right. The pain is literally one the right side. this is all becoming too much. Neck lymph nodes can be the result of tonsillitis, pharyngitis (infection of upper throat), infection in mouth, caries in tooth, internal ear infection, outer ear infection, eczema, dermatitis, dandruff, breast cancer, fungal infection, other cancers like lymphoma etc. If you had flu like symptoms initially then it could be due to infectious mononucleosis too.
A few days ago, on Tuesday I felt my left side of throat hurt when swallowing and yawning and the pain kind of went all the way from the side of my throat to my left ear, I then took medications and put on some gels and the throat part of it fixed, now my left ear just really hurts from the inside when swallowing, yawning and a little bit when talking. Can anyone tell me what this is? Thanks! Also to mention i have no fever, no dizziness, it's just the ear pain.
Now i can go 2 or 3 days with no pain but sure enough the ear paint comes back (only left side) and i have a lump on the left side just below my ear lobe that does not hurt but is not on the right side and i did not have it before. If i push on it it feels like my sinuses in the back of my nose/neck draine a little into my throut. My ear will hurt so bad i cant touch it or mess with the position of it in anyway. Moving my head makes it hurt aswell. It is made worse by heat or stress iv noticed.
I've had a swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck for four days. At first it wasn't very big but it has gotten bigger. The lymph node, my throat and my ear all hurt and I've also had a bad taste in my mouth for three days. I haven't seen a doctor about it yet. what could be the problem?
I tried popping my ears by holding my nose and blowing, and my left ear popped and suddenly my left ear felt fine but my right ear will still not pop and it is Thursday. It has been three days and I am now out of the antibiotic. Yesterday I was being very persistent on trying to cough up mucus and all of a sudden I coughed up something that had a little more substance than mucus.
Have they ever taken (or have you at home with a blood pressure monitor) his blood pressure during one of these dizzy spells? Did he see an ear, nose and throat doctor about his vertigo (dizziness)?
It would be good for him to get to that neurologist & if you could take a copy of the CT scan with you. You might tell the neuro office about your financial situation and ask if they could offer any kind of discount & or payment plan.
(even ear wax can cause this and the abnormality may cause a build up there). But overall, it is difficult to say what is going on. An Ear, Nose and Throat doctor could potentially help you. It doesn't sound like this is causing any significant issue for you which is good. But I'm sure it is annoying.
I have a goiter - large one on left side and also having some neck pain left and headaches and sometimes ear pain also on left - the surgeon wants to remove the thyroid left but I like to have another biopsy as the last one 7-8 minths ago did notcome out right due to less cells - from the biopsy - you think that should have been reported to me - they did not found out the other day and my nodule has increased to 4.

I don’t think your symptoms are related to fibromyalgia. From your symptoms of ear pain and sore throat on one side of throat it can be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. For each ear, a eustachian tube runs from the middle ear to the back of the throat and when this tube is blocked then it may cause fluid build up in ear and infections. You can get an examination done from an ENT specialist for these possibilities.
