559187 tn?1330782856 I got my sneakers on as quickly as I could, grabbed my purse and headed to the elevator. Before I got to the end of the hall, 4 people stopped me and told me elevators aren't supposed to be used during a fire. Silly me, I knew that but wasn't thinking. At that point everyone got in a frenzy about how I was going to get down the 3 long flights of stairs. What an ordeal for everyone and really scary for me too.
393986 tn?1303825975 I did give the hospital a call, the orders are there, I think they thought I was coming tonight. I called my local paramedic friends, they know the drill, I just told them I am tapering off the steroids and am worried about it and if they get a call to come here, they know what they are dealing with. That was a great suggestion, as always, my Dear Friend.
306867 tn?1299249709 Regardless if we are allowed to drill offshore and even in Alaska the amount of oil is still limited and within a generation or so will run out. Fossil fuels not only create pollution. There is only a limited supply of them so they will eventually not be available. And investment into renewable energy sources can create jobs.
Avatar n tn You need to have it looked at immediately. I have a close friend who stepped on some glass when he was a teenager. The piece became embedded (it was quite large) and only emerged, on it's own, thirty-seven years later. The drill is a local anaesthetic (lidocaine), a clean slice and perhaps a stitch or two.
152264 tn?1280354657 The sensory neural defect lies behind the cochlea, which means in the auditory nerve and the passage of signals to the auditory centers in the brain. However, one dental procedure per year should not cause any hearing loss. Talk to your ENT specialist and audiologist before the procedure. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar f tn even with local anesthesia, a dull drill bit and/or a heavy hand (aggressively attacking the tooth with the drill) can cause trauma to the nerve.....any time I have work done that involves "drilling", I ask that new bits be used....I even offer to pay a "new bit surcharge"...most dentists sterilize and reuse bits until they hardly cut....these are the culprits that cause excessive heating that can destroy a tooth and cause pain....another suggestion if I may...
148588 tn?1465778809 After analyzing 70,000 closed case files from 2005 to 2007, the Government Accountability Office reported that the Department's Wage and Hour Division (WHD) inadequately investigated complaints from low- and minimum-wage workers alleging that employers failed to pay the federal minimum wage, required overtime, and failed to issue a last paycheck.[26] Chao's tenure as Labor Secretary saw two mine disasters for which she was criticized.
Avatar m tn The teeth drill made my teeth bleed! She said the drill had been disinfect. But I do not know if the drill had been disinfected thoroughly.Because as you know the drill may reverse flow into the facility when it is working in one's mouth,it is very hard to disinfect thoroughly. So the cross infection is possible. what is worse, I search the internet, there has been some ones has infected by this way, although I do not know the accuracy.
Avatar f tn Actually the liklihood of success for ablation hinge on how well all the factors are controlled, as well as on the type of ablation you are getting. Ablation of left free wall WPW is around 95% successful (if I remember correctly), while that of ablation for VT, afib, and other arrhythmias is good, but not as good as 95%. Success rate has to be considered along with potential drawbacks. One major consideration with RF ablation is risk of stroke, reported anywhere between 1-5%.
676912 tn?1332812551 DH works shifts right now, and a lot of the nights he works fall on the first night of drill. Since we only have two days, Saturday and Sunday, everyone goes out Saturday night and they return home Sunday after our work day is over. None of them live less than 2 hours away from the base we drill at, so I don't hang out with them besides drill weekend, it's too expensive to travel just for one night.

Avatar n tn We also use N2O with our oral meds. Just to help. we do not rely on this alone because for safety reasons only about 30% of the Nitrous should be used and 70% of the other being oxygen and these two are ran through the same mask. It is imparative that you have this dentist use a monitoring system such as a pulse oximeter to monitor your child's oxygen levels.
602261 tn?1252583158 A rural Australian doctor recently had to use a handyman drill to drill a hole in the skull of an eight year old boy to release the build-up of pressure. His brain only started to swell after his mother took him to the hospital to check him out after he fell off his bike. We're already in June! You're not trying to get out the wedding, are you? Better get your best man to keep you alive and conscious for the big day. Look after yourself, JT. You've come so far and done so well.
Avatar f tn You are concerning yourself with the 1% chance the drill was used by someone with hep c plus the chance they cut them self with that specific drill and that the microscopic amount of blood had not been rubbed off by the use of the drill before you scratched yourself. Really the odds you describe are so infinitesimally small to the point of being for all intents and purposes nonexistent. I would concern myself more about getting a tetanus shot if you are not current.
Avatar f tn I do know there are far more natural ways to get serotonin and that is something you can discuss with your docs. You may want to check out the MS Forum and see if the folks there might have some suggestions.
Avatar f tn me and my boyfriend (long distance) have both admitted to each other we're virgins. we've also discovered i'm the one with more experience. he's never gotten a ******** or a hand job, etc. i'm going over to visit him for a while in the summer, i've arranged to get on the birth control pill, and had mutliple talks with my mother and experienced friends about it's use in preventing pregnancies.
Avatar f tn In Australia there is a site called kidsafe that rates all available car seats, prams, strollers, cots etc that are available. It rates everything from safety through to prices. Just wondering if perhaps the US has a similar site!
