hormone

Avatar f tn She had a baby a year ago that was 2 months premature- the baby was fine, but she was very ill. She had levels all over the place then, but not these same ones. Could there be a link?
Avatar m tn How were you treated for Graves Disease? Are you now hypo? Are you on thyroid replacement hormones? If so, which ones, what dosage and for how long have you been on it? It's possible that you need to increase your med dosage, if you aren't losing weight. Typically, when thyroid hormone levels are adequate weight will come off. If you have current labs you could post, that would be helpful for us.

Avatar n tn BACK TO THE WHOLE DOCTOR TESTING, I THINK THAT THE DOCTOR COULD HAVE HAD ENOUGH COURTESY TO RETEST ME AFTER THE HORMONE TREATMENT.....I TOLD HER THAT I CUT 2/3 OF THE SUGAR OUT OF MY DIET AND WAS GOING TO MAKE LIFESTYLE CHANGES......GOING TO JOIN WEIGHT WATCHERS, SINCE I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH GETTING INTO MEDICATIONS............SHE SAID THAT SHE WANTED TO SEE ME BACK IN 6 MONTHS.......I ASKED IF I NEEDED TO STOP EATING SUGAR AND JUNK FOOD AND SHE SAID "NO. JUST USE COMMON SENSE.
Avatar m tn A smaller, independent study2 conducted in Poland examined the effects of poor neurological health and homocysteine levels and was published in the April 2009 edition of Clinical Biochemistry. It was found in the study that elevated homocysteine levels were significant independent risk factors in the development of poor neurological health. The American Journal of Cardiology published an interesting study3 in its April 1, 2009 issue regarding plasma homocysteine levels.
Avatar n tn We are hoping that maybe it will work naturally instead of having to go through fertility again or at least we are cautiously hoping! Has anyone used specific ovulation kit? Diet? Preseed? Thanks!

I suggest buying a heart rate monitor.
Avatar f tn He never got a good latch but I wanted him to have the best! I used the Medela pump in style and got a hands free pumping bustier on amazon. It made it so my hands didn't have to be holding the flanges. So before I brought him home I would.pump every 2 hrs day or night for 20 mins. Then when I brought him home I continued to pump every two hours during the day then at night I'd pump when he would wake.
9924471 tn?1419954420 I liked the comfort of the pump but it is not one I would recommend for exclusive pumping. When I got the Medela my supply almost doubled. I'd say spend the extra and get the Medela.
Avatar f tn My son was premature so I was using the hospital grade pump and I felt the Medela was comparable to that. The key is to get a good quality pump and be consistent with your pumping. I never had to take supplements or anything to boost my supply but I set a timer on my phone to pump. When he was born I pumped every two hours (and thru night) for awhile and I think that's what made my supply strong from the start.
2215568 tn?1339764975 The diet does work.. I didn't take the drops, I took the injections, the only dislike 4 me is I didn't like given myself the injections. However, one of my co-workers took the drops, stuck to the diet and lost 50lbs in the first month, and it really showed. It does take alot of discipline, and you have to be consistant in order to see the results that you want. Hopefully, you have a good batch of HCG if you order online. Hang in there you can do it! SMILE!
374593 tn?1257879950 so we are experienmenting with rice pasta and cookies with different types of flour - shopped in the gluten free section of the store the other day ! it will take some getting used to, but if it helps us get that bfp then i'm willing to do just about anything! anyone tried the wheat thing?
Avatar m tn s what made things worse, I even gained about 120 pounds since then with no diet change (although not a healthy diet) I lost 20 pounds after i started the adderall and have stayed the same now for 4-6 months. with that said, questions- does this sound like anything specific?, should I see a endocrinologist or a urologist? Is this something that once identified can be corrected easy? If I need hormones, is there a way not to become permanently dependent on synthetics?
Avatar m tn The first edition is available and a second edition will be available by the end of the year. Do you think the first edition is terribly out of date, and may perhaps contain inaccurate information? The second edition, at almost $100, is too expensive to consider buying. Also, how useful do you find it? Many thanks for your reply.
Avatar f tn Breastfeeding (at least the first few weeks) helps your uterus go down completely. Exclusive formula feeders have larger uteri after six weeks than do exclusive breastfeeding mamas.
Avatar f tn I certainly have found no diet that helps with periods. Food isn't going to regulate your hormone levels, so I doubt there is one. If you notice you break out after eating a certain food (i.e., chocolate, etc.), then just avoid it around times you're especially prone to breaking out.
846905 tn?1258817444 I too have gained a lot of weight, not losing weight while going to the gym and starting diet, and i haven't been able to get pregnant in 2 years other than that miscarriage. My acne is like yours, it will not go away and i am getting boils in my pubic area as well, and I had never had that before. Let me know what you find out... I have an appointment on Monday with a gynocologist and will see if that has anything to do with any of this.
612876 tn?1355514495 have the full information on the text available to submit for the interlibrary loan [ILL] request, including the author, title, publisher, year of publication (note if there is more than one edition and if it makes a difference to you whether you end up with an older edition), and the ISBN number. I then looked the books up on worldcat (http://www.worldcat.
