Avatar f tn about 6 years ago i was a work one night and felt an excruciating pain in my foot and had no idea what it was.my foot became very swollen almost instantly and i noticed an egg shape lump on the top of the foot.since then i have been going to the doctor frequently and was even referred to a rheumatologist which i saw every month for almost two years.
Avatar n tn Well, the obvious thought on this would be a pinched nerve. We have all sorts of little bones, tendons and nerves in that area and something pinching a nerve could cause what you are describing. Those nerves can also become inured. You should see a doctor to find out what is going on so this doesn't get worse.
Avatar f tn i sprained my ankle 7 weeks ago i still limp a little while walking and cant walk in the same ace like before and last week i took out an xray of my ankle and the result is that there is an old minor crack on my lower part of the fibula bone . rest all the bones are fine and there is no displacement of any bones and no bones are broken also . so wat should i do ? shall physio therapy help in heeling now as i dont have any pain and my swelling is also getting little better .
Avatar f tn I went to urgent care got x-rayed and have a broken foot. The Dr. there refused to set the bone even though they were extremely slow that day. Seems the orthopedic drs. In town don't like them setting the bones. They want to set the bones themselves. That's ok but I'm sitting here in extreme pain for 5 days trying to get in to his office to get my bones set. I am planning on giving the dr. An ear full Monday morning, but there should be a law where this is not allowed.
Avatar n tn In your case it could be due to pressure effect of plantar fasciitis. The orthopedic and physiotherapy team can help you with this. The foot wear can be modified to form a false arch to support your feet. The pain could also be referred pain from knee joint due to pressure effect. I would strongly recommend you to discuss this with your ortho doctor. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn When you see him, as him to tell you a little more about your injury. Broke your foot is a little vague. There are quite a few bones in your foot and ankle. Also, its important to know how bad the fracture was.
Avatar f tn The bones in your feet actually shift to accommodate the extra weight. Along with swelling, that's where my foot pain comes from. Just drink lots of water, the solution for pretty much everything.
Avatar f tn It's normal. Our joints are loose from the hormones, so our bones move more easily.
536929 tn?1217872077 So the vet pushed the wrist bones back into position (I think) and tried to re-align the two bones of the arm/leg, the smaller one went back into position, and the larger one would not. The vet said "it went into position and then it popped out of alignment." So the larger bone (whatever it's called) is not aligned, one bone is directly to the right of the other bone, they are kitty-corner, if you know what I mean.
Avatar n tn So, to re-phrase what I believe I read above, you cut your foot in South Africa and the wound was washed out. You are concerned that in this process you might have been infected with HIV. If I have summarized the events you describe properly, there is no risk to you from having had your wound cleaned. We get many questions about the possibility of HIV infection thought contact with open wounds. these questions, like your betrays a lack of understanding of how HIV is transmitted.
Avatar f tn I pulled almost all of my own teeth, myself, so I could afford false teeth. On the bottom of my foot, I once had this giant callous on the pad of my foot, below the middle toe. I determined, myself, to remove it at any cost, and so I dug, and dug, and dug. It had an enormous root! going clear to the bone. It is gone for good, now. I removed an unacceptable growth from near the corner of my nose, and I lanced a huge boil from my ear lobe.
5549258 tn?1449083082 I also went and got bones at the groceries store and boiled them and sipped on broth this detoxes your bones and replaces the fake crapy with things that are essential. It might sound like a lot but it will make such a difference. Hope this help, here is to felling human again.
Avatar f tn Conus medullaris is the terminal end of the spinal cord. It occurs near lumbar vertebral levels one and 2. The nerve roots at the ends are called cauda equine. The terminal nerve root tail is the filum terminale. Conus medullaris syndrome and cauda equine syndrome are complex neurological disorders manifesting as back pain, unilateral or bilateral leg pain, paresthesias and weakness, perineum or saddle anesthesia, rectal and urinary incontinence. Hope this helps.
775302 tn?1253100505 What kind of pain are you experiencing in your foot? Is it on the skin or up in your foot? Is the pain constant or is there a trigger? Is it possible that this is not psoriasis? How are you treating it? Does anything help? Honestly, when I first read this over, I did not clue in on the plaques on your feet and thought immediately of plantar fasciitis which caused a stabbing, burning sensation in the arches of my feet. It sounds like you may have something more going on here, though.
Avatar n tn Hi there - just some history for you - In 2008 I had to have rod placed in my left tibia after multiple breaks. I had to have three surgeries since then; in 2008 my left foot was misalighted by 15 degrees so they broke my foot and now it's 5 degrees to the left. Then in June of 2008 I had to have the bottom ... [More] screws removed.
715068 tn?1392933532 So I called the dr. this afternoon to let him know that we finally got our BFP & to let him know that my plan was to continue taking my prenatals & schedule an appointment in a month or so. He did not agree with that decision. The plan now is for me to get in asap & he would like to monitor my HCG levels due to the chromosomal defect our angel baby had. Apparently they can monitor hcg levels for an earlier indicator as to whether or not this baby will have any problems.
515698 tn?1211489523 Hi SL , I saw the PA at the pain clinic. He listens to me and called "The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas " . They are supposed to have a very good MS Clinic and MS Neuro's too. I think he believes me but , I also think his boss reprimanded him for not discouraging me about the MS thing. His boss got mad at a nurse who was telling him that I was asking questions about MS vs Me .

6926872 tn?1386186835 My knees are popping out of place... It's due to the relaxin hormone that your body products in preparation for labor.. Just try and be careful but I know how you feel and it's very worrisome and bothersome for sure.
Avatar f tn Then let one hip at a time move forward holding the opposite hip bone back. Basically you are wiggling the hip bones one at a time over the area near the rectum and below the tailbone. Let the legs come long out of the hip sockets. See if you can loosen any fascia, alleviate any tension or old muscle spasms in the area of the upper thigh, sit bones, tailbone, sacrum, pelvis, but especially in the area at eh rear of eh perineum.
Avatar n tn I tried standing on it with pressure, rubbing it, flexing it. The pain was unberable. I was about to wake my husband to take me to the the hospital when the pain suddenly started to become milder. This happened several more times during the night. Then several nights in a row. Then it started happening to my other foot. NOW it is happening to both of my hands an part of my right arm, and has happened to the left side of my neck.
645390 tn?1338555377 t know where my left hand an foot are all the time and continuously knock over glasses and run into furniture etc. At least we can commiserate together and have the comfort of knowing there is decreased sensation to those areas and we don't feel all the pain! On the other hand, this means you must be more vigilant about handling sharp or hot objects as you will nor fee the initial heat and not pull away as a reaction to the heat and receive a burn. I have had many of those.
Avatar f tn My doctor informed me that I have a condition where the bones are "too good". I'm not sure if that means I have too much calcium or not but I asked if I should discontnue using calcium and she indicated that I should continue to take them. I though she said the condition was called "osteoporisis" but am not sure and I'm unable to find anything with that title.
