Then about a week and a hlaf later my tongue swelled up in the middle of the night. The doctor said it may be hookah smoke. I have smoked hookah on and off for about 2 years and never had any problems before now. I work in a hookah bar. since the last reaction i havent smoked hookah but have been handling it and being around it being smoked. Is it possible that it still is the hookah im allergic too? Or could it be some sort of throat virus that the hookah agrivated that gave me the reaction?

Yes. Hookah is actually worse for you and the baby than cigarettes because it is so concentrated and strong. I would avoid it if I were you, and let your baby grow in a healthy environment.

s just a big water pipe and you have to have something to smoke to have it do anything. The big problem with hookah bars and hookah parties is that people just suck on it all night, and take in an enormous amount of nicotine, much more than smoking a cigarette. But in your case, I assume you don't intend to smoke it again.

You have to have the tobacco in the hookah in order to smoke from it. Hookahs are formly known as pipes for tobacco and other uses(i'm sure your fimilar with it) lol They pretty much do have the same effect as cigarettes but smoking from a hookah is much harsher!! If you've smoked from them before then you know what i mean--if not, give it a whirl...never hurts to try something new!

Actually hookah is worse than cigges because you are smokin more than just tobacco your smoking ashes and to your inhaling nothing but the hookah when smoking a cigg you do blow it back out,. If anhaled ciggs deaply it causes a burning which hookah does not and it stays in your lungs. Which also is connected with your babys oxygen. But i kno what you mean one hit wont harm much for just a taste.

I need yals input on something. one girl I follow on instagram is pregnant and some of her pictures include her smoking hookah. Nargila, as I know it, is a "Hookah" as sarah mentioned so I am confused as to what it is she is smoking. What I can suggest is that you speak with her and ask her directly what is going on. Maybe she will get honest with you. I hope she does.

it really upset the baby s belly and he was never really comfortable. he just cried all the time...once she stopped and his body adjusted to the formula (without the nicotine in his bottles) he is much better!

Hi, yesterday I was smoking hookah in a restaurant, it’s always busy I was wating for half an hour to get a table, Before I smoke, the waiter brought the hookah and the pipe and the connector to the table, the pipe and the connector touched the table for around 2 minutes and then he puts the connector to the hookah and I start smoking, I am worried that’s the table is not clean and might have blood and touched the connector and I inhale the smoke from the connector with blood, it’s risky?

Sounds like you could have caught some sort of pulmonary infection. The overabundant phlegm is the result of your body trying to get rid of the irritants from the tobacco and possibly from whatever foreign bodies that has introduced into your body. Ask your friend if they are experiencing the same thing before. Also, i would recommend collecting a sputum sample and give it to your doctor for further examination.

however sheesh is usually made up of nectars and juices and the smoke is produced by the hot coals burning the juice off of the tobacco sooo i mean no not really its not necessarily bad to smell it although i may avoid a hot boxed room bc some does contain nicotine plus it'll make you light headed.

Dear Super, I have a relative who is a two-pack-a-day smoker, had some of his colon taken out, and he had to quit smoking for a couple weeks after his operation, so the wound would heal. It's just like the other poster said, smoking will reduce the oxygen that flows around in your blood, and you need that O2 to heal up right, otherwise you'll have bleeding and infection and what not.

okay girls so before I got pregnant I would smoke the pin hookah the ones that is 500-800 puffs then you thorw away and when I found out I was pregnant I stopped oviously but now I'm wondering can I smoke them while breastfeeding? Or do I have to wait I know this is a question for my doctor I don't see him till Friday and I'm just curious.
