Best thing a person can do when told they are Diabetic is to contact the local Hospital or Health Department and get signed up for their Diabetes Education class. I learned So much from those classes and they gave me the books to bring home with me.

When I went back to school everyone had questions for me and I was always different. I was very involved with the American Diabetes Association and attended the diabetes youth congress one year and a summer camp for diabetics until I was too old to go (16). I worked with other young diabetics to start a teen support group in my area if just to meet up once a month and go out with other people that understanded what I was going through as well.
I have Stage3 chronic kidney disease and know the liver is working harder but because of this new diagnosis was wondering if there’s a connection. I don’t have diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

i am not aware of any insurance systems that one can change to that will cover diabetic supplies unless you become diabetic while on the insurance as after that most insurance plans i'm aware of will not treat a pre-existing condition. The only area i'm aware of that may have the information you desire is the American Diabetes Association.
Kids with special needs are generally in our classrooms but taken out for various services or classwork they do independently of the group. Some schools have the old special needs classroom but this practice is less popular these days.

Part of the problems we are having in this country, I believe, stems from the formal education we have, or don't have. Basically the public education system we have has not changed over the last century, so what changes would you make if you could and if added cost is involved how would you pay for it.

It could be your hormones do you also use the bathroom a lot, it wouldnt hurt for Mom to take you you get a sugar test, its only 12 hours of fasting and a ***** on the finger , a lot of drugs stores do it now ,or speak to the Doctor,your age group can get diabetes , you probably havent got it but its a good thing to rule it out, are you into sports a lot that could dehydrate you, drinking more is okay if your body needs it .

Hi I am going to agree and say pray. I am 24 yrs old and I am struggling with diabetes1 and losing the battle. Just as your daughter I am giving up. I hate this disease. I ask myself why me, why. Since you didn't provide us any information to work with, you can start by making lifestyle changes. Too many people rely solely on medication to make themselves normal when basic lifestyle changes are ignored. Medication alone will not do the work for you, they are there to 'help' you.
