They should never discontinue their medication discussing it first. "In cases such as diabetes, hypertension, or asthma, patients can become very sick without their medication," says Dr. Lund.
Avatar n tn Various techniques have been tried by patients and recommended by physicians to prevent, lessen the severity or treat chemotherapy side effects such as peripheral neuropathy. There is no "one-size-fits-all" regimen that works for everyone. Much of the treatment is based on trial and error, and finding what combination of interventions works for the individual. * Report any unusual feeling you may have to your health care professional.
Avatar n tn If the side-effect is distressing then you should discuss it with your doctor. From what I've read in this forum I doubt it would be permanent. The memory loss is possibly caused by your concern and anxiety. If it were from the medication you may have noticed some decline earlier. It is preferable to be drug free (if possible) during pregnancy. From my limited knowledge I think it is not completely out of the question and in some cases may be preferable to the alternative.

Avatar n tn Hey. I didn't have those side effects from clomid. I took 50 mg days 3-7. The main thing I noticed was hot flashes. I took the pills at night to help with some of the symptoms. Also when ovulation occurred I had horrible cramping and when my cycle finally came (which the clomid made it late) I had horrible PMS. However the clomid did show me ovulating but still no baby. Good luck !

764257 tn?1234724152 Thank you all for your quick responses. I talked to my Oncologist today when I saw him and he doesn't want me to go on a diet right now. I am having a problem with the Thalidomide that I am taking as it is making me dizzy, upsets my stomach and nauseous and I think he is concerned about me going on a diet because of the side effects. He really didn't go into it but that is what I think.
Avatar f tn Are you pregnant? Macrobid is pregnancy category B--- used in pregnancy. Cipro, the gold standard is pregnancy category C--- not the best choice for someone who is pregnant. Amoxicillin isn't the best choice at all for a UTI based on the common bacteria that causes UTI's. Every infection is caused by a specific strain of bacteria. Some antibiotics are going to work better on different strains of bacteria.
Avatar f tn im 21 weeks along and i have a deep pain in my back on my right side that i can also feel from my front. Avatar m tn For instance, I know of someone who had to be on it throughout pregnancy, because she needed anticoagulation therapy, and warfarin has effects on the fetus. I know those shots aren't fun, but I wonder if you could use them from time to time, to give your hands a break.
Avatar f tn Headache, mood changes, abdominal pain, loss of libido, and vaginal dryness may be seen in few women using the implant. Few women may also have weight gain as one of its side effects. Few women may also develop ovarian cysts while on nexplanon. It is best to discuss the risks and benefits of any birth control method before starting to use it. It is best to have a frank discussion with your gynecologist about these side effects.
