Ok I can help u with this as I worked with divorces and paternity for 12 years prior to my career now. But I'm from Texas so laws change from state to state but usually minor details. But by TX law it would complicate things. Legally the legal father is your husband. Now naming your bf as the father on the birth certificate doesn't establish paternity between the baby and ur bf. It actually doesn't do anything. U can name anyone on the birth certificate.
Every state has different laws and you can check out your state's laws. But, laws are laws whether no matter who brings it to the authorities attention. Social services could take a look at a young minor with someone older and pursue charges along with the hospital.
I think it is hard because a 3 year age difference is not huge . . . but seems that way in the teen years. in reality, there isn't that huge a difference between a 15 year old and an 18 year old in my opinion.
long story short I have decided to go through with a LONG needed divorce n need to know how to completely keep him away n get a divorce because he is crzy n said he will tk my bby n I will NEVER see it again.How do I have my bby without having to give it his families name or have him on the birth certificate.It sounds harsh but if u knew his bkground u would understand.

I am pretty sure that it can be used against you in a divorce, but I can't say 100%. In Texas, if a spouse cheats, the other is entitled to 90% of assets in a divorce. Granted you started seeing someone after you split up, but you are still legally married. You may want to talk to your attorney, or call another one to ask just in case.
In the divorce paperwork they will set visitation. Idk what the laws are where you are but here in KY you can not file for divorce until the child is born. You can file for legal separation but that is it. I would go ahead and call a lawyers and see what the rules are in your area. You may be able to file but not go to court until after baby is here. In divorce papers they will set up child support, visitation, medical support for baby etc.
Sorry I feel like I've posted a million questions. Bit I'm on the fence about what baby's last name will be. My boyfriend and I aren't married and in fact he's still legally married to his other two kids mom. She still legally has to use his last name. Also I'm the only grandchild on my dad's side so the name stops with me.
m unsure of the laws where you are but in the UK they usually send you for counselling to make sure that your 100% about your decision and they don't like to perform them under the age of 30 (same goes for a man), but may be completely different where you are.

It depends on the state laws. You'll have to ask your hospital about it. They'll be able to tell you.

In case of a qualifying event such as death or divorce, Federal COBRA can be extended from the original 18 months to as long as 36 months (18 + 18 = 36 months); however it doesn't seem like you have had a qualifying event (as described by COBRA law).
The good news is that after exhausting your COBRA you are HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) eligible, which means you will qualify for some type of coverage depending on your State of resident.
I'm going on 34 weeks this Thursday, but from reading a lot of these questions, a lot of you got a Pap smear done your first checkup. I didn't find out I was pregnant till I was 19w 4d, but I also didn't get a checkup till I was 21w. Not once have I received a Pap smear or anything in that region. Will I get that at all? Or any kind of checkup down there? Even later on (around 37 weeks) to see if I dilated or anything? My next check up is next Tuesday, my first biweekly appointment.
No.. don't even think about it. Nothing is worse than living with in-laws especially with baby. If you really want to save money and pay off debt you can find a couple of nice cardboard boxes and make a nice house, anything is better than in-laws. Good luck.
Ignorance I know first hand cause my n laws really wreck my nerves. Most days I'm stuck hollering at kids and I don't understand I will shut my door and lock it some me time. Everyone beats down my door if I'm sleep and don't answer they will call my phone 1000 times annoying as hell. This is my first child but they expect for me to get up every morning get my nephew ready for school and take him but I quit after him missing a few days they got the picture.

The finances can be complex related to divorce and each situation is different. Each state has different laws too. Do you know the laws of your state? Is the house in both your names? I understand the fear you have of losing money on the house and having to find another home for yourself. It stinks. Getting a spouse out is a bit hard. Divorce should do it but you need someone to advise you. Document everything related to his drug use. Take pictures. Record things.
