Avatar m tn for the past few months my periods have been considerably (about 7-8 days) late (i have always been on a 28 day cycle...since i started my period at age 12!). my bangs are getting very thin...and my moods are very high and low. i have had 3 children. any insight as to what might be causing all of this?? I ofcourse am going to the dr. but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this?
2100308 tn?1388496839 Have you heard of such? My doctor told me I have mild PCOS, but I have a regular cycle.
Avatar n tn Go to your doc and ask to be tested for high testosterone levels. You could possibly have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which is stopping your cycle. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I am turned on ONLY the day before period, which means I am so horny and restless like if I was possessed :) The other days during the cycle - I have no crave for sex at all :( Null, zero!!! No desire, no arousal, no orgasm! My sexual life is particulary non-exsistent. ;'-( Just imagine: I am eager only for 1 day out of 30, its so hard to fit in with the date, also its impossible to maintain any relationship, while your sexual needs are so minor.
1131112 tn?1321040173 The only problem is my Dr. told me it's hard to test for high testosterone because every woman has different levels and some women's can look really high but for them it's healthy...there's no good or bad amount. I started taking Black Cohosh which is hormone balancing herb but I stopped after a week because like you said i'm worried to mess anything up....I just really feel like something is wrong and I'm dreading being prego again with no change.
Avatar f tn Feeling wired, excess hair, lean body, irregular periods and excess testosterone production all seem to point to it. Get your testosterone, free testosterone, DHEA and androsteneidione tested- they vary depending on where you are on your cycle, so ask your endo when you should get them tested.
Avatar f tn actually metformin regulates your insulin and testosterone levels which for many women is why their cycle is irregular. the high insulin and testosterone prevent you LH from rising which prevents ovulation. so for most women when the hormones levels return to normal it can trigger ovulation, then two weeks later a period.
Avatar m tn I understand Tamoxifen is completely different from testosterone, I mentioned it because many people take Tamoxifen during a steroid cycle to stop the body from shutting down it's natural production of testosterone and stop testicular shrinkage. My question was whether a pro hormone that doesn't aromatize to estrogen would shut down the bodies natural production of testosterone. Because that would essentially limit the need for an aromatase inhibitor.
Avatar m tn Its sort of my deciding factor for going on testosterone at this point--I dont want to start it if its only going to make things worse for me in the breast department.
Avatar m tn Hi, How are you? Testosterone has been used for many decades for the treatment of testosterone deficient males.Today options for treatment include topical testosterone gels and creams, short and long acting injections of testosterone esters, application of testosterone through skin patches, subcutaneous testosterone implants, and oral testosterone capsules. The injection is given deep intra-muscular and is quite often painful.
1065748 tn?1255876527 The first cycle, I took 84mg, now this cycle, I took 134mg. If I need to next cycle, I will bump it again to 195mg. Let's hope not. Lots of BD to all.
478429 tn?1265244387 Well, my beta was a BFN this cycle.... yeah it ***** but for some reason it makes it just a little easier having a plan for next cycle. Some history on our ttc journey with meds : My RE and I were talking and when I got p/g with DS, we did monitored cycle by u/s, NO meds except for vitamins and progesterone supp. after O. We got p/g on the first IUI :)Even with having elevated testosterone level... That was awesome!!
Avatar m tn m not the only one who suffers from a special form of incapability. I cannot get and keep an erection only by mental or visual stimulation. An erection is only possible after a strong and direct physical stimulation. It makes no difference if I'm with my wife, another girl or I'm just masturbating. For my partners it's very unusual and they assume that I'm not excited.
865758 tn?1285952904 First off what stage were you at when testing. Were they tests on estrodiol and testosterone done at different times and on a different cycles of your period? If this type of testing is not done at specific times of the month at exactly the same time each time they test them, then stabbing at "lack of estrodiol" and over stimulation of testosterone is only a guess.
374593 tn?1257879950 FSH ratio was consistent with PCOS, anyhow i got the testosterone level today and they said it was 68 (i guess it should be under 75 they said) but that anything over 30 its really too much... They said we won't do anything different this cycle, but we need to get the LH level down.. Does anyone know how that is done?? are there any ways of lowering testosterone either?? Has anyone had similar ? Thanks in advance!
Avatar n tn I am 17 years old and am at a normal weight. i took an anabolic steroid cycle once before and used test boosters to workout. ill never do that again. My testosterone count is low and i was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. i have heard about zinc pills, as well as HCG. Would these bring me back to a normal count? anything you guys could give me is greatly appreciated!
7843530 tn?1395009668 I want to know what having an anovulatory cyst typically does to your estrogen levels. I'm using an ovulation microscope and I've gotten some odd readings here and there, so I'm wondering if my estrogen levels are abnormal because of the cyst my doc felt on my ovary. She said it was only a little enlarged and would probably resolve itself within a cycle, and I'm at CD 24 now, with first time full ferning this morning.
Avatar f tn Hello Im a 23 year old man and about a year ago I did injectable steroids masternol, diabol (pill form), and testosterone. i only injected 3 times and took the diabol for about 3 weeks but then I stoped abrubtly this was in oct of 07. Avatar f tn Morning erections are not a sign of anything. Mostly we get them when we're young and then we don't get them much anymore, although obviously people do differ. So don't worry about those, they're irrelevant. But yeah, if you're tired all the time, you might have trouble doing all sorts of things, and erections might be one of them, although there's certainly no guarantee this is so.
Avatar n tn Had a thyroidectomy end of June 2007. Last menses in September. Stomach gets to feeling like a balloon, achy swollen feel in breasts as if there will be a cycle but it doesn't happen. I figured the surgery pushed me into the beginning of menopause. I am 47. Is this common? Is this a problem?
Avatar m tn My understanding about testosterone levels is, testosterone is a short acting hormone that follows a strong daily cycle. Typically high in the morning, low in the evening. I think much of it is generated during REM sleep very early in the morning. That make testosterone tests very tricky to interpret and very subject to other health issues.
Avatar f tn Oestrogen dominence can apparently be common with Hashi (autoimmune). My mum had it and once she started taking Progesterone (bioidentically correct from compounding chemist) cream, she started feeling dramatically better. No Pms, mood swings, depression, Painfully sore and swollen breasts etc Her low to non existent sex drive also went into overdrive. I also have low Testosterone and DHEA for my age and I'm on these (only 3 days so far).
