Avatar f tn Is it a white film that you can rub off? If so it could be yeast? You could try Terbinafine cream or spray. The other ones yeast are sometimes resistant to. Otherwise, I'm not sure what it is. That is the only thing it sounds like. Usually, yeast itches or itches and burns.
Avatar f tn I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
1712311 tn?1308397237 Tinea versicolor can have redness in and around the lesions, but more often it is either darker than skin color or lighter than skin color patches with fine, powdery scaling. Also, terbinafine treats fungal but not yeast infections so one would not expect a yeast infection to get better from it. Strangely enough, by the way, topical terbinafine can sometimes be helpful in tinea versicolor but is not an ideal treatment for it.
Avatar f tn I developed yeast infection almost 1 month ago immediately after a course of antibiotics. I am diabetics over last 10plus years relatively under control with medicine. This tome the infection was while patch all over the penis head and foreskin giving heavy itching which peels off and new patches develops after 5-7days thus recurring. Avatar f tn Disclaimer: sorry if this is TMI! Really seeking some guidance here I have been on birth control (same brand) for 4 years and I had noticed that my external vaginal area would be itchy periodically. That started about 2 years ago and I found that taking a yeast infection treatment didn't help so I assumed it was a natural side effect of BC. In the past few months the problem has worsened and the inner labia down to perineum and anus are now constantly red and more frequently itchy.
Avatar n tn I thought taking products containing lactobacillus (good bacteria) like Azo Yeast etc can prevent yeast infection to reoccur. But I have read that they can cause dental caries (which I can notice ). http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar m tn Try neem soap and Lotrimin cream as directed on tube. Likely yeast. Wash underwear and socks in hot water with measured Tide and half cup of baking soda to kill yeast.
Avatar n tn And about how it is a yeast and what not. But i have yet to get any real answer to how i can treat this. I can not go to a dermatologist due to i have no health care and i in college and i cant have another bill as is. So i am looking at trying the Selsun blue maximum or the tinactin foot spray. I have read that the contents in those two are good to try. I am looking for more products or more effective products.
Avatar f tn I am being treated for yeast infection which has helped somewhat with the mucus. It seems a bit more of yellow color in the a.m. and I have frequent eye infections. As well I have extremely itchy anus with cracks. All this is making me miserable. Brainfog is a major problem but seems to be getting better since the yeast treatment. Also wondering why I crave alcohol before my periods.

Avatar m tn Hi and sorry you have this issue. So, do you have any rash in the areas you have a problem? Also, regarding Trich do you know if they did only a wet mouth slide test or did they do a molecular test such as PCR or other test? If it is just a wet mount slide test it is only 50% accurate. but they probably would catch it provided the specimen was looked at right away. Still it is not that accurate depending on the person reading it, and whether the slide dries out.
Avatar n tn It definitely sounds like yeast. Have your dr look at it and most likely will prescribe you some nystatin powder or cream. Should take care of if!
