Im going exactly throught tha same type of Skin problem and just on my 5th days on Terbinafine but concerned about the side effects it can have on my liver...even if they are rare it is still concerning and I dont want to continue on the medication if it not going to be a fungul skin infection.
My Patch started as a small red mark on my stomach areas and grew about 6" x 3 ..pretty large but I have no symptoms, no rash.
By this time, the rash had cleared up on the right side of my chin and had jumped over to the left side. He thought maybe it might be the same condition and told me to go ahead and use my Ertaczo on the rash on my chin. Unfortunately, it didn't work on this rash. In fact, it seemed to have made it worse. From there I decided to go back to the dermatologist.
Have you any thoughts on how long after stopping taking Terbinafine and you would expect the side effects would start to ease off?
This morning, my reason for seeking help online is that the right side of my glans has become swollen and I have developed a painful red cracky rash on my glans.I have also developed phimosis.
The dermatologist I can afford told me to continue with terbinafine and eat a 'booster' dose of flucka every 10 days.Also he prescribed clotrimazole+beclomethasone instead of the previous one.
So for the past week I've had a rash on the left side of my groin area where my crotch meets my thigh. Its itchy but it doesn't burn. It almost looks like a big long red blister right there and I have little red bumps all by it. It's starting to spread onto the other side and I want it to stop. I've started using cortisone but it's not helping that much. Any ideas? I don't think it's fungal but I could be wrong.
sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP!
Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.
Im 16 and have been in sexual relations and seem to have a scaly like rash in my groin area its started out on one side of my leg and has spread to the other im really worried it might be a STD but i have already been to the clinic and they said everything is ok and tests are all clear the rash started off on one side of the leg and now how worked its way to the other it almost look a spot sort of broke the skin and is trying to break out and there is skin peelings around them Confusedd and all
t help so I assumed it was a natural side effect of BC. In the past few months the problem has worsened and the inner labia down to perineum and anus are now constantly red and more frequently itchy. It seems to be some sort of inverse psoriasis because I have that smooth pink rash in my butt crack and a one or two bumps.
face, arms, back. My dermatologist gave me Lamisil cream with oral terbinafine during 2 weeks. My rash has almost disappeared. It came back 1 month after taking terbinafine. I have done a mycological examination 1 month after taking terbinafine but it was negative. Also, oral griseofulvin during 3 weeks didn't work. My rash was spreading all over my body (70%). The physicians sayed it was eczema. The gave me diprosone and oral cortisone.
the area between my inner thigh/ groin area to the side of my testicles will start to get sweaty, smelly and start to create a redness/ rash. i dont hve medical to afford a doctor...just trying to fnd out what this maybe or may be caused by...it started probably 6 months ago

t have insurance) and she had supposedly diagnosed the problem as ringworm by looking at it, I finished my 2 weeks of an oral Terbinafine prescription, and during the last 2 days of the Terbinafine I started to get an itchy back, 2 sections of my lower back (on the right and left hand side) started to itch, I fought it and never scratched it and woke up today for the rash to be about 5x the size they were the previous evening.
My problem first began 10-ish months ago. While I was taking a shower I noticed a slight rash on the corona of my glans, there was no itchiness, no discharge, no pain, no bumps, just a red rash. After 6-7 days my foreskin was inflamed and I felt a burning sensation when pulling it back. I then decided to visit my GP and he prescribed me Ketoconazole topical and sent me off. I then used the Ketoconazole cream on my foreskin and the inflammation went down in around 3 days.
I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
On the right hand side of my right ankle about 6-7 months ago I noticed a single red/pink patch of a rash that was approximately 5 centimetres in diameter that didn't hurt or itch and I only noticed it because I caught it when putting a sock on and that caused a brief moment of pain that soon subsided. I chose to ignore it as it wasn't really bothering me so I thought it may disappear on its own. It didn't.
Now for weeks I have been left with red testicles and penis plus the groin area and side of upper leg, no rash just red skin which is sensitive to touch and burns. The dermatologist prescribed me Ketoconazole, Triamcinolone and Terbinafine. Been using for a week and it is no better in fact it burns and itches more at night. Alone with this I was using some antifungal soap. Any ideas on what this might be? Is it Red Scrotum Syndrome caused from the hydrocortisone?
