If gone untreated or treated poorly, then it can spread to the rest of the body, which might explain her sores..although I'm not sure that it can cause sores. FYI the strains that are resistant to the usual antibiotics for yeast are Candida glabrata, Candida prapsilosis, Candida tropicalis, and Candida krusei. Ok i didnt know where else to go seems like i couldnt find the yeast infection forum. I have had a rash on my testicles and on the tip of my penis and i have been given a cream three times by my doctor and to no avail. I have also had extreme stomach aches for years now and sometimes i feel feverish or like ima get sick and i dont, I have been check for HIV, and Herpes ans stds and nothing.
Basically Itraconazole is more wide spectrum and less toxic than ketoconazole and has been hence used for a variety of fungal infections chief being aspergillus, blastomycosis, sporotrichosis, histoplasmosis, and onychomycosis and ketoconazole is often used for Candida, Histoplasma, Coccidioides, and Blastomyces (although it is not active against Aspergillus).
Or, you can try to get tested for the specific type of Candida. There are different types such as Candida albicans, Candida dubliensis, Candida tropicalis etc. Candida dubliensis is the most resistant one. I would see your doctor and ask for a different type of treatment for it. The Lamisil usually works.
As for the Staph it depends on what kind of staph whether it is important or not. So you need to find out which kind. Is it Staph epidermidis or Staph aureus. Ask them about that too.
I also use a hairdryer, do not share towels with anyone, and have used Lamisil (Terbinafine) for 2 weeks as of today. I change my underwear once per day though, but I avoid sweating or walking much during the day as much as possible. And apply talcum powder on my groin every 2-3 hs during the day. That's all I've been doing and as I wrote, the skin at first sight looks back to normal, BUT if I see it from an angle, I can still see the circles where the jock itch used to be........
For confirmation, microscopic examination and culture of the scrapings is usually done.Even a small sample is sufficient to test for candida but false negative results are possible when the scrapings have been scrapped off or some hot liquids taken before the test.

There’s just no data to support or refute it so it’s been years since people kept looking for candida cures on the internet. I think this may have to do with people believing PATM is caused by antibiotics overdose in the past. It will play out if you only have one species of bacteria and one fungi but it’s not the case. Species could go up to 2400 species.
But for that pls use some antifungal like nystatin, miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine,ketaconazole and clotrimazole.You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.
If the symptoms persist then STD’s have to be ruled out.It can be done by swab cultures and urine culutures.

Prednizone completely clears up the rash and it takes about 3 days for it to come back after the prenizonde. I have tried taking 4 benedryl at night, and zertec in the morning. That did absolutely nothing! I have also changed lotions, laundry detergent, bed cloths and type. I saw an herbalist who said I had a Candida infection on my skins. I had a Dr prescribe an antifungal and also tried the herbals from the herbalist which did not help.

i had red, itchy, swell penis forehead last year & i gone to doctor and he tested me for HIV 1&2 antibodies, VDRL, HERPES simplex virus 1&2 IGG-IGM & TSH and all test came normal (negative). Then my doc told me that it is candidal balanoposthitis & he gave me fusidic acid cream with terbinafine cream and some tablets for infection & infection cured 70% but itching never gone.
During the therapy, it started being a bit better, but after 7 days it started itching and turned back as before. I also used terbinafine cream at the same time, (for 3red time). I also used ketoconazole shampoo several times. Please if someone have advice what to do bcs my doctor don't know what do do as well.
candida doesnt exactly meen hiv thrush can happen for different reasons or candida overgrowth.did you have a risk?probiotics can help with candida or kefir milk ,also plain yogurt.if you had no risk then you have no cause for concern .poor diet can cause candida overgrowth.i hear they drink alot in austrailia .candida loves alchohol.dont know if you partake.if you had a more recent risk than you would want to test again .but if you tested at the 1 year mark or better that should be conclusive.

Ive had this for about 3 months , now there are some on other leg and arms.Ive had 2 biopsy not cancer. Dr thinking fungus . I was on antibiotics and am currently taking Terbinafine 250mg and Ketoconazole 200mg pill and cream and wash . I recently had a tooth pulled and gum filled with puss. maybe that was hindering my healing. so frustrated and worried.
I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
