Avatar f tn I've been having pain due to my wisdom teeth for the last couple of days. Have any of you gotten your wisdom teeth removed while pregnant? Ive heard the dentist can only do it if its an emergency and in about your second trimester. Im 18 weeks right now. And i wanted to see if any have gotten this done.
Avatar f tn Also, since most of these teeth are still vital, will the procedure of crown removal disturb the abutment teeth and cause pain in the future? What is the chance of damaging the abutment teeth during the crown removal?
Avatar m tn I was suffering from pain near TMJ joint on and off since few day I went to my dentist and he said I am suffering from TMJ disorder due to the wisdom teeth on my upper growing a little sideways and he said since in my case the pain is not too severe he would only go for the wisdom teeth removal when the pain gets too severe and when I start hearing my jaw creak or click. He has given me muscle relaxants for a week.
1550634 tn?1296568028 The pressure feeling may be coming from the movement of the teeth. Its normal to have some pain or discomfort from your wisdom teeth as they come out. Try some over the counter pain medication such as Tylenol or Motrin (whatever you would take for headaches that's safe for you) and see if that helps. I took my 4 wisdom teeth out with an oral surgeon and I was put asleep. Didn't remember a thing.
Avatar m tn I recently had multiple cavities filled in my mouth following the removal of my braces (9). 4 front teeth are white colored. Back molars are some form of composite material. It has been about 5 days since cavities were filled. Apparently none of the were that deep according to my dentist, however my teeth are still extremely sensitive and the sensitivity causes my mouth to ache resulting in migrains and jaw pain. I know that my fillings are not too high because my bite is not interupted.
Avatar n tn Please help me find an answer to my Zygomatic titanium implants. I had the implants placed about 3yrs ago. The rash around my mouth started about 3 weeks after the surgery. My tongue has a white coating that was dismissed by my dentist as poor oral hygiene. The rash was blamed on new lotion or makeup. The rash took over my face, then neck after a month, now it has spread all over my body. I have had every patch test and ***** test known to the Dr.'s and all have come back negative.
874521 tn?1424116797 Simply, you get what you pay for. Pulling a tiny tooth is not really that simple. The top three causes of tooth loss in cats is a carie or cavity also known as FORL (Feline Oral Resorptive Lesion). There becomes a PAINFUL (though pets don't show much pain - more as I go along) cavity in the mouth and the gum line gets red and irritated and the gum line gets infected. (More on gum issues and how it affects the rest of the body and why bloodwork is VERY beneficial.
Avatar m tn Post-op pain associated with root canal treatment is generally minimal and easily managed by pain killer.Lossof molar may cause teeth shift, not always.Extraction of molar generally won't change facial profile.
Avatar m tn I had all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth removed Wednesday, it is now Saturday, and my pain seems to be getting worse (at extraction sites and my lower anterior teeth are hurting as well) my bottom right lip and chin are still numb and I'm starting to notice a funny taste in my mouth. I can also barely open my mouth. Is this normal? Should I go back to the dentist?
1757114 tn?1312651561 Hi my name is Diana I have bad teeth wisdom teeth so much pain and it shoots up into my head and i get migraines because of them the other day i had five migraines in a row and now my lower left side of my mouth is numb and i feel as if i have a infection from the wisdom tooth on upper left could the numbness be from the wisdom tooth?
Avatar n tn I only had two wisdom teeth, both on the bottom. In the days before the surgery I had some eruption pain, and the teeth were fully impacted, and I had some mild tinnitus. However, after I got them out, the tinnitus has gotten much worse. I feel pressure in my ears often, and my surgeon said that in some cases the pressure from the swelling will put pressure on the ears and cause the tinnitus. It's been a week since the surgery however and I still have the tinnitus.
Avatar n tn You may want to consult with your dentist or oral surgeon to see the risks and benefits of your particular situation. If she's young and the teeth are somewhat straight, they may be able to provide antibiotics and see if the roots will move up more and get further away from the nerves. If not, permanent numbness may occur, going from the back of the jaw area to the lip.
Avatar n tn 7 years ago I was eating and bit down on my right side. A RADIATING pain shot through my jaw. I went to the dentist and had an x-ray taken. I was informed I had a "cementoma" and that it should not be causing me pain. Long story kind of short visit after visit after root canal after surgically removal of "stubby tooth" after wisdom teeth removal I am STILL having pain.
Avatar n tn Post-op discomfort after wisdom teeth removal may last weeks. Wisdom teeth are frequent occlusal interference. It's common patients feel the jaw position or bite is different after wisdom teeth removal. This is probably what you described " misaligned". If you do'nt have temporomandibular disorder, the bite will be realigned after a couple of weeks. If you do have tmd problems, seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
Avatar m tn When you go to your dentist or oral surgeon to get your examination prior to your wisdom teeth removal, I would go ahead and ask them about it and see if its a possibility. They may do an exam and feel around and see if there's something else going on as well. If everything seems normal, I'd get the wisdom teeth out and then see if the pain persists.
Avatar f tn This pressure pain started around the same time I needed the root canal and seems to affect my upper teeth as if they were all under great pressure. Can pain be referred across the mouth? Before wisdom teeth removal, dentist made me a custom mouthguard. I wore it for three weeks at night and found no relief. Also went to an ent to rule out sinus problems, Dr. did not see any problems. Any help would be appreciated. This has been going on for almost five months.
Avatar f tn wisdom teeth are easier to remove than other teeth because they have less of a root system. i just had a local pain killer and other than feeling a lot of pressure and tugging it was pain free. the dentist practically had to crawl in my lap to get the correct angle. i took the following day off from work as a precaution but with just over the counter meds i felt fine. i cant remember how long it took to heal but it was pretty quick.
Avatar f tn Is there any way you can wait? I didnt have it dont but I had a root canal and it was awful! And I remember with my wisdom teeth if it wasn't for pain killers i would have went nuts!!!!!
Avatar n tn Post-op pain from the removal of your wisdom teeth should not last that long. When they extract the wisdom teeth, they are pretty close to a facial nerve and facial muscles, so it can very well be a problem with the muscle being damaged/torn. Though the wholes where the teeth were are usually present for a long time and can become infected. I'd talk to the oral surgeon who did the extractions. Good luck.
