Common Questions and Answers about Teeth removal cost

teeth

Avatar f tn My question to the forum is do I do the flap which will cost around the 3000 and get a healthy gum and keep my teeth - or get a full denture and although have false teeth will also provide a healthy gum but a decent smile as well. Any advise would be welcome and any insight about why I should do any dentures is welcome as that is definitely sounding like the best option at this point.
Avatar n tn I am losing all my good teeth because my bone (since birth) is inside my lower jaw and not in a supporting position. What can I do?
Avatar n tn My bridge broke. It has 2 teeth but now we need to add a tooth in the bridge. The dentist said one of the root canals has a slight infection & it should be redone. Then the other tooth (Which i posted about earlier having the "lentulo paste filler" look.) We may have to redo that one as well. With the 3 teeth & the 2 redo of the root canals the charge the office quoted me is $5,333.00. This seems a lot to me. Is this normal these days?
Avatar n tn no i never had a rootcanal its a wisdom teeth removal, the bottom 2 wisdom teeth on my lower jaw they had to cut into my gums and take out the wisdom teeth
Avatar n tn My dentist easily put in a spacer tooth, that only adhered to the side of the teeth beside it. It cost very little. It was attached with glue on the sides i believe and with a thin coat of material on the back of the teeth (on the spacer and one tooth on either side). It is not noticeable, nor can you feel the material on the back of the teeth serving to join them. The only problem was that the natural teeth colored, whereas this floating spacer did not, it stayed very white.
612551 tn?1450022175 Our Westie is going in tomorrow for a tooth cleaning, mostly a concern about plaque build up. This requires nothing less than hospitalization (for the whole day at least) and the estimated cost is $350 to $380 (I have an itemized cost list). First it seems strange to me that I have to pay about 5 times what it cost to have my teeth cleaned to have my dog's teeth cleaned.
Avatar n tn She is only 40 and mortified apparantly the only thing they can do is take some bone out of her hip and put it in her gums, this will take nine months to heal before they do any work on her teeth, and this just for the top set will cost £25,000? Is this right, is there not something else can be done, and something cheaper?
Avatar n tn Post-op discomfort after wisdom teeth removal may last weeks. Wisdom teeth are frequent occlusal interference. It's common patients feel the jaw position or bite is different after wisdom teeth removal. This is probably what you described " misaligned". If you do'nt have temporomandibular disorder, the bite will be realigned after a couple of weeks. If you do have tmd problems, seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
Avatar m tn I know that feeling, bro. It's frustrating how much wisdom tooth removal cost in United States, isn't it? Especially when you have no insurance. I have the same problem as you do, and after looking around I think my best shot would be going to Mexico and get it fixed there. It is a whole lot cheaper, although you still have to do some research to get good oral surgeon there.
Avatar f tn Welcome.....$3000 is ridiculous for a dental w/extractions......$500 is fair! Please, call and check around at other clinics.....Yes, your dog's teeth DO need to be taken care of.....Severe Dental Disease creates many health problems including organ failure...Heart Disease is among the top! Call your local SPCA or Humane Society and ask about clinics in your area that are affordable.....They may can direct you to some resources... Next: Look into "Care Credit".
Avatar m tn That's hard to say. It depends on the situation and how close that tooth is to the nerve. Sometimes on a panoramic x-ray, the tooth will appear to be close to the nerve. Since the panoramic x-ray is two dimensions, it doesn't provide as much information as a CT scan which can be view in 3D on a computer screen. That would help the doctor determine where the tooth is more precisely.
Avatar f tn My female chi had dental surgery few months back, they removed some teeth, but on dogs, what they don't tell ya, or I didn't learn on my own, when teeth are removed the remaining teeth get all out of line....so now her mouth looks really bad, cause the teeth they left moved, and moved fast, they stick out, there all messed up....Its $200 job here but the after math of it, its bad too...so not sure for you....
Avatar n tn I mean Im too old for braces and they cost almost 5000.00 out of pocket. Is there another way around this? like cant I get my adult tooth & baby tooth pulled them get a replacement tooth glued in like a crown or denture ...not sure what its called???
1012542 tn?1313354880 I did some research. Cost for implants is $1250.00 - 3,000.00 per tooth, with total cost for the implants between 15,000 to 30, 000. You need to add to this, the cost for anesthesia, synthetic bone (if needed) and xrays. Insurance does not cover implants. Studies show a five year success rate for lower jaw implants & 90% for upper (especially the posterior section) because it's less dense than the lower jaw, making a successful implantation potentially more difficult to achieve.
Avatar f tn Removal!! Plain and simple :-) I had to have my wisdom teeth removed. But since I not sure exactly what about your teeth is bothering you so much, I can't really offer much help. Care to share? I have a few great tips!!!
Avatar f tn Also, since most of these teeth are still vital, will the procedure of crown removal disturb the abutment teeth and cause pain in the future? What is the chance of damaging the abutment teeth during the crown removal?
1808278 tn?1338484942 Have my teeth become grey and decayed because I have to take Dilantin? One year into Dilantin and I have to have four front teeth pulled. Previously healthy. Gums are in good order as I brush them 5x daily.
Avatar m tn I have but mine is with any thing that is salt! i had mine taken out in 08' and they left chipped peices of tooth still in there. right afterwards well the doc said it was the stiches. well two days later i had to dig the chipped peices out! and what not!
1550634 tn?1296568028 The pressure feeling may be coming from the movement of the teeth. Its normal to have some pain or discomfort from your wisdom teeth as they come out. Try some over the counter pain medication such as Tylenol or Motrin (whatever you would take for headaches that's safe for you) and see if that helps. I took my 4 wisdom teeth out with an oral surgeon and I was put asleep. Didn't remember a thing.
