Common Questions and Answers about Teeth implants pictures

teeth

Several months ago I had my bottom teeth extracted and two implants placed in order to have over dentures. Couple of days ago I went to have the implants uncovered and have a healing cap put on. I was not shown the implants as the dentist replaced my denture. Later that day when I removed the teeth I realized that they were not placed in the canine area as in all pictures that I have seen of implants for over dentures, they are in the center of my mouth.
Should I have them pulled out and just get fake teeth? I uploaded pictures of my teeth to my profile but I wasn't sure if I was aloud to post them in here. Any advice is appreciated.
Hi, Implants have to be placed next to healthy disease free teeth. I am having four teeth removed due to periodontal disease so that I can have implants done. I was told this was necessary because of one infected loose tooth. It's the bone holding the teeth that is important. Out of the four teeth I have to have removed, only one is loose, but the other three have been bone compromised. If you have loss of bone nothing will save the teeth.
1) Implants floss like normal teeth, bridges are hard to floss under 2) Implants can esthetically look better 3) Implants do not put added stress on the abutment teeth like a bridge does (which can cause problems with the teeth the bridge is supported by). I am sorry you have had so much work done that has not been successful. And you are the perfect example of why I advise people who need to have anything other than a normal root canal done to just remove the tooth.
I have to have my lower 4 front teeth pulled and 3 lower molars, due to gum disease. All my teeth that will be pulled will be replaced with teeth they can put in this partial. Am confused!
X-rays of the left side didn't make it clear which tooth was causing the large abscess, which was kind of between two teeth. She did this test where she ran an electrical current into my tooth, with my finger on the probe; when I removed my finger, it cut off the current. She tried a normal tooth, and I cut off the current. She tried one of the two suspect ones, and I cut off the current. She tried the other, and I just kept waiting to feel something. Dead as a doornail.
Hi Quix, There are special dentists who specialize in dental implants in our area. I would call the oral surgeon or your dentist. The office staff could ask him for a recommendation. Since he is an oral surgeon, he may have some dentists he refers to for implants.
Hi again GELLIA, Gellia to answer your question, the "Abutments" for teeth 28,29 & 30 were attached to the implants than a full mouth impression and an impression of just 28,29 and 30 was taken. ( the crowns are fused together for added strength) The fact is that the bite is fine but the teeth look a little small. The inside of the implants fit fine right to the gumline. However, on the outside facing my right cheek there are large gumline spaces.
I will finally have a beautiful smile again. I look at old pictures of me when I still had at least all of my front teeth and I want to cry. A friend of mine who had this same procedure done less than a year ago said I should be fine to go back to work in a week. She is my inspiration. She looks amazing with her new teeth and she has been after me to take the step so I will feel better about myself again. I'm mostly excited!
Well, if rough description would help (I saw both the X-ray and photo pictures)...using palmer notation, teeth 6 on the upper left and right definitely need a root canal and a crown. The central portion of my upper right has decayed to the point where I can touch the gum line (with a instrument) and my upper left has visibly decayed by roughly 30%. Both recommended extraction for my upper wisdom tooth.
She asked an orthodontist to take a look and I got the strong impression they thought the work was botched - asking who did it and why I hadn't been referred for surgery and taking lots of pictures of my teeth. They commented that I obviously looked after my teeth as my teeth and gums were in good condition apart from the small area of gum problem - no infection but damage. She asked how I felt about further orthodontic work.
I am somewhat UNEASY from all the information I have read thus far, especially reading about all the RE-LINING, ADDITIONAL CHARGES every time and TEETH BEING NOT CENTERED!! Maybe it's just Fear of the Unknown. Also, I have 16 teeth that must be EXTRACTED. Wow, I just have a lot on my mind. I guess you're wondering WHAT is my question? I guess I'm just looking for some kind of CONSOLATION in this whole process.
I am male, have no allergies or history of diseases, only surgery I've had is teeth implants made 3 years ago. I usually stay in shape and excercise a lot, but have been drinking a lot of alcohol during the past couple of months and been chewing tobacco for the past 12 years. I had HIV and STD test 2 years ago which both turned out negative. After that I've had a steady girlfriend but also had 3-4 unprotected vaginal sexual contacts after that.
As soon as I get some teeth in my mouth, I'll post an updated pic on the AU site. My implants should be ready to go in a month. P.S. I got a note from the AU site that they want smiley pictures.
Since I had all my mercury fillings removed (by a qualified specialist) and only when I started refilling the teeth with composite resins did I begin to experience itching (a feeling coming from the inside, out). I had temporary fillings before the permanent ones and those were fine. When I first had the composite fillings applied, I experienced some sensitivity in certain teeth which my dentist redid and used a protective layer before refilling the teeth.
For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
(swelling is down and feels better already) The dentist talked about the next step being the titanium implants for the teeth., He too stated nobody is allergic to titanium...I think i'm putting everything on hold until I have some allergy testing done. Thanks to all of you I've found this out beforehand.
Both of my kids teeth have had problems. My son's teeth were so weak that they were breaking away, and my daughter's teeth had weakened enamel. So far, my son's second set of teeth are beautiful Yay!! My daughter is still without upper front teeth , my poor baby girl. I am a lunatic about their teeth. Constantly on them all the time about brushing , flossing and eating xylitol to help break up the acids that are killing the enamel. Soooo.....

I had sever facial pain, numb lower lip, numb pain, electric shock, pain increased with wind, cold, talking, eating singing(I am/was a classically trained opera singer who sang through her day) touch, brushing teeth are some of the triggers to send me into agony of uubelievable limits, alread having burning, deep, old, numb throbbing pain ever present, whith for three months tic, which I found to be Tic delaroux (misspell I know) which is part of the TYPICAL trigeminal neuralgia.
So this time around I marched into my Primary's office with my laptop and showed him 100's of pictures of the rashes that I get. I told him at my last Oncology check up in April my Oncologist suggested that I seek out a new Rheumatologist because I had shown him a few of the pics. My Primary actually seemed to take me seriously for once and set me up with my current Rheumatologist. Hallelujah!
One of the things I did to take the fear out of this for my girls is that I promised my youngest that when my hair fell out she could draw on my head. I did that and we have the best pictures! My daughter even tokk the pictures and made a book called "Chemo Monster". It is so cute and it lets them see that you are not afraid - much. There isn't much that is fun about Breast Cancer, so go ahead - have some fun with this!
We've all read the stories of people having to get plastic implants, etc. but I think you would probably have to use cocaine for a longer period than four months. You should see a doctor asap however because infection of your membranes may cause even worse problems. It sounds like you've had quite the wake up call here with your nose! Plastic surgery can be very painful physically and financially. Take care of your nose and the rest of yourself as well!
I asked my doctor about the relationship of my ear face and neck pain and he says he's never heard of the relationship between bad teeth and all these symptoms. I have extremely painful teeth and am ready to have them all pulled. Can't afford it but willing to go through it some how. I'm going through hell and have for close to fifteen years and eat tylenol ones like it's candy! I go to emergency when the neck and face swell so bad I can't take anymore- three times now in ten months!
I take 100 mg of Zoloft a day I would describe myself as high-anxiety and stress I clench my teeth, usually on the same side as the effected eye I have alot of sinus problems around my eyes I have double vision due to a weak muscle in one eye I have many floaters and one very prominent one in the eye without the bright spot How about you?
I didn't really appreciate perkiness back when I had it. Sigh. I would perhaps consider surgery if the implants were really safe... and I were out of breastfeeding age.
Oth-Temp spike could be from the progesterone or it could be a positive sign. An embryo implants anywhere from day 6 - 11, but usually day 6-7 post ovulation, meaning that u r are currently 8 days post ovulation. Everyone is different with symptoms and the meds play funny tricks on us. Also you have hcg in your body up to 14 days from the hcg injection(usually 2 days prior to retreival/ovulation). Stay positive and busy-mentally, physically take it easy.
