i have this small red lump on my gums.. just above my front teeth.. it doesn't really hurt when i touch it, but im just curious about what it is.
I went to a dentist 2 weeks ago to do a regular check up because i felt a little pain and i noticed the upper left of my gums were swollen and around that area there was a hard lump on the gums where i had a tooth extraction a year ago. After the check up the female dentist told me that there was nothing wrong with my teeth and the lump was just the bone that was left after the extraction and the gums were swollen because of food touching the empty space of gums where i had the extraction.
I can feel on the back of my teeth with my toungue where it seems the gum tissue has been pushed back, forming a little lump inbetween the teeth. On the gum in between the lower teeth it looks as though there is a bruise almost ibetween the gums. I have no cavities etc but I haven't been to the dentist in almost a year. Should I wait 3 o so more das to see if the inflammation goes down?
In 2009 I had a lot of dental work on my upper and lower teeth. I experienced not long after very painful gums and ended having two apicectomys. However, I keep suffering with severe toothache above one of my crowns which has a lump on right at the top of the gum. I have been given some gum gel to put on and wear a "guard" at night for grinding my teeth. The pain gets unbearable and funnily enough doesnt feel too bad when eating but always afterward.
s two hard lumps under my gums on both sides of my mouth, both are 4 teeth from the centre. The one on my right is almost twice the size as the one on the left. Both look white under the gums. I'm between dentists and am now looking for one. Is what I've described normal and I've just not noticed before or something else? The one on the right from a lamens point of view seems like a tooth.
I have this lump in my lower left gums, right where my Molars start. It is a hard lump that moves slightly but then goes right back to its original spot. It's not white or anything, and there is no pain. This might also be helpful: My lower gums on that side seem to be a really hard swollen towards the teeth region. The lump has been there for about 2 weeks and it didn't "grow" there. it just kind of appeared. Another quick detail, the lump is about the size of a BB.
It almost looks as if i had had cut right where my gums go down between these two teeth teeth leaving this little patch of swollen gum.
It doesn't bleed at all, even when vigourously brushing or flossing, nor does it hurt.
It has been around for a couple weeks, getting neither bigger or smaller. Neither of the teeth on either side hurt at all.
Any idea what it could be? Some food that got stuck in there? I have been eating a lot of popcorn lately.
My reason for posting, is that roughly a week and a half ago, I noticed a lump forming behind my front two teeth, on the roof of my mouth. It was a bit annoying, and I started to touch and press on it with my tongue. After a few days, the swelling showed up on the front of my gums, on my frenum (I believe that is the vein sort of line that runs between your two front teeth on your gums???).
It is very noticeable on my gums now.
gave me the medicine i need. well 2 days ago, i noticed a lump in the front part of my gums, above my front teeth. It looks like a large canker sore or something like that. And it is very sensitive to wind, hot or cold. and to touch. does anyone know what this could be? is it a sign of cancer or gingivitis? please help me with some answers. i am scared to death. Oh before anyone asks, i cant go to a dentist at the moment because i have no insurance and not enough money to pay for it.
t have gingivitus and had my teeth cleaned 3 months ago when the hygienist remarked that my gums looked great except for some receeding near a permanent retainer on my bottom front teeth. All of a sudden my bottom gum on the backside below my front teeth is red, inflamed, and feels like it has a big swollen lump. My dentist says maybe some food got caught below the gum and tried to dig some out of there. This is excrutiatingly painful and making my whole lower jaw/teeth throb.

Their all down to the gun line and some teeth have been covered by my gum growth. The dentist will have to cut my gums to get the teeth out. I went to the dentist and was prescribed antibiotics. Two days before going to the dentist, I noticed a few itchy bumps on my arms and legs. Those bumps are now over most of my legs and arms, and a little on my chest and shoulders. Could this be a result of the gum infection?

This morning when I woke the numbness was still there and is spreading to my right cheek bone and right nostril. The gums around my teeth are all so losing sensation. All so have a nice headache going on. I have all ways had a tendency of grinding and clenching my teeth at night to the point of waking up very sore. Was wondering if clenching at night could be causing this? My gums are not red or swollen so I don't think a tooth is about to go bad.. or maybe it is?
The bumps are still visible. My gums are still swollen and irritated at the front two teeth to the point where my bottom teeth are hitting my top gum (I have a serious overbite).
To compound this, after I'd seen my family doctor, my gums became very sore on my right side directly behind my molar. It hurts to chew there and is more irritated on the bottom jaw than in the upper jaw. With my tongue I can feel a fairly hard lump in the location where my wisdom tooth would have been.

Hi!With a problem of toothache on my upper left wisdom teeth, I went to see the Dentist. He told me that my wisdom teeth was slight broken and infected as well and suggested me to go to Dental Surgeon to remove it. As i have to travel and have to writeup my thesis, I would like to have any alternatives that can remove it at least for 3 months; for which he replied that RCT is the only option but will not remove the infection completely; may help for fewdays-months.
I've come to find out that my mom has a tumor where her wisdom teeth use to be. When she had her wisdom teeth pulled she developed this bump. It's not painful and looks like if one side of her gums are largely Inflamed. She's actually had this lump for about 20 years now and she never thought anything of it. Over the years it has grown slightly bigger. She is finally seeing the oral surgeon and waiting on test results.
Your bleeding gums may be gingivitis. Go to the dentist get a good cleaning, and then keep your gums and teeth healthy to prevent this from happening. While you're there get his opinion on the lump you are feeling so you can put this worry to rest. Fear feeds anxiety and just makes it worse. Your doctor has given you a clean bill of health and for those of us with anxiety "accepting" this is key to getting better.
