Avatar f tn s a bit silly and if I had around 6/7 cups a day that would do no harm at all, just curious as to why tea and coffee seems to be limited in the things I read compared to what my doc has told me
Avatar f tn I'm a tea drinker and it has more caffeine in it than coffee my midwife told me. I couldn't believe it myself.
Avatar f tn You could turn the large coffee into a small coffee, cut out the ice tea and have a caffeine free regular coke instead of diet. If I really need a soda to settle my stomach I usually have a sprite. Maybe it won't feel as though you are cutting so much out? I have a cup of coffee in the morning and one in the afternoon. Regular coffee...no capuccinnos or espressos...but I don't normally drink soda. I do however, eat a LOT of dark chocolate.
Avatar f tn You are suppose to limit the intake of caffeine..blah blah. Drink all you want, coffee, coke, tea, unless your dr advises you otherwise you can drink what you want.
Avatar f tn I dont drink soda or tea, i have a cup of coffee every morning and my co-workers are always on me about it everyday. I have to explain every day that my Dr. Said one cup was fine and i still have ppl who disagree with me.
Avatar f tn I drink a regular size cup of non decaf coffee a day and i drink hot lipton tea a lot and iyou refuse to drinkyou decaf coffeecoffee, its gross. Am i over doing it with the caffeine? Or can i continue with the one cup coffee and tea?
435139 tn?1255460391 One cup of coffee equals about 2 cups of tea when comparing caffeine levels. The recommended amount of coffee drunk is up to 3 cups daily, or 6 cups of tea, by the UK food agency. I found this.. I was actually pondering this post myself after reading yours because I have been craving the iced tea all the time and somedays I will drink 3 bottles of it! not so much the green tea though.. just the sweetened iced tea.
Avatar f tn I changed to decaf. Decaf coffee and decaf tea bags so I still got the same taste and raised less suspicion at work. I just had to dramatically reduce my chocolate and cola intake but I'm not finding that too hard. What I'm struggling with at the moment is around 1pm at work with the sudden realisation of how tired I am. This is where I have a real cup of instant coffee to keep me going. Good luck!!!
Avatar f tn I stayed away from it pretty good at first then I started getting bad migraines and my doc told me drink a lil caffeine and that pretty much set the beast loose with dr pepper and occasionally coffe but no more than 200 mg a day thats what they say to limit it to in first trimester or it ups chance of miscarriage
Avatar f tn I think there isn't enough caffeine in sweet tea to do anything I'm 35 weeks and just recently stopped drinking my one cup of coffee everyday.. I would be more concerned of the sugar that is in that tea I used to work there they use a lot!
Avatar f tn I drink a glass of tea sometime and had a craving for a soda the other day but I usually don't drink any
Avatar f tn t good for the baby, I used to drink a 20 Oz espresso every day, but the Dr said that about the cup of one cup of coffee is okay, as long as you are not exceeding 200mg of caffeine, that applies to tea too. And absolutely no energy drinks. I completely stopped drinking coffee all the way and I was the biggest addict.
Avatar f tn I have an anxiety disorder and coffee triggers panic attacks. Drink lots of water and try to take deep, slow breaths.
Avatar f tn Caffeine is perfectly fine, and you can have more than you think. :) There's a chart in my What To Expect When You're Expecting book I'll copy down for you... You can have up to 200mg a day.
Avatar f tn U can have 1 glass of soda or coffee a day. But more caffeine in the first trimester is linked to higher miscarriage rates. For me, I avoid it completely. It's not worth the risk.
315996 tn?1429054229 ve always kept around because it insuates that tea has a lot more going for it than coffee. I have the newspaper article and every once and a while I pull it out and copy it for a friend. Well, cleaning up all the papers on my kitchen table and ran into and was able to find the online version: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/04/21/health/main550409.
Avatar f tn My ob said limit ur caffine intake to once a day is fine. Whether its soda, coffee, tea...
406957 tn?1202996900 I love love tea, so I just buy decaf tea with flavored herb tea and it is wonderful to drink! Too much caffeine gives me insomnia which turns into mania,, not a good combo for me! Also, be aware of how it interacts with your meds. I take a Lithium/wellbutrin combo and both stress to be careful with caffeine intake. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I know, I switched from coffee to green tea, and just on a whim started looking for info. My brother had spina bifida so I'm really big on the folic acid. The info says that the same stuf that helps prevent cancer tumors (the ecgc stuff I think) can block folic acid. I figured green tea is so healthy, and you probably have to drink a bunch of it to cause problems, but who knows?
8778737 tn?1413827423 t (aka they are addicted and dependant on caffeine) I like tea more than coffee but I crave coffee sometimes and my bf is also very strict about coffee intake! At least he cares but we researched it and it's okay for me to have a cup a day or two small cups!
Avatar f tn Oh gave you good advice. I'd like to add that B complex with high B12 (5000ug) is also good (ask Dr first). Also, if you're drinking tea just because you like tea and not for the caffeine, you may want to consider green tea or white tea. Green has some caffeine but not alot. But if you are drinking for caffeine, coffee is better.
12365171 tn?1424880667 Please ladies check your sources and information before saying things that may upset people. This is my second pregnancy and I have drank coffee, tea or soda during both. I quot drinking with my first and had horrible side affects. My mid-wife recommended I drink small amounts everyday because the withdrawl was causing to much stress on my body. The sheet from my hospital Says 200 MG a day is ok.
Avatar f tn A stimulant like caffeine might be problematic. If you feel worse when you drink it, then give it up for a week and see if you feel better. Go to herbal tea (something soothing) and see if that helps too.
