Tamsulosin hydrochloride kidney stone

Common Questions and Answers about Tamsulosin hydrochloride kidney stone

flomax

Avatar n tn Sorry about your kidney-stone, Brother. I feel your pain, literally! I get them all the time and take Tamsulosin (Flomax). Hopefully your doctor instructed you to drink PLENTY of water (3L-5L/day) until you pass the stone. Did he? If not, DRINK LOTS OF WATER. The mild burning sensation comes with the territory, but drinking plenty of fluids will help dilute your urine. I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless it persists after you pass the stone.
Avatar f tn I had x-rays showing I had a small kidney stone proximately 2 mm in my upper left kidney. I had some signs of blood in my urine now are four months down the road and every once in a while, I will still show blood in my urine and I don’t know if I’ve ever passed the stone. My question is if a stone is forming, but not moving can it cause blood in urine?
Avatar f tn s a nurse) would this be a valid answer. I have never had a kidney stone before and have never experienced this issue before. Now the other day when I was on the medicine I was able to ejaculate fine and everything was running good? Think it's the Flomax Subst-? Also for a second question on here, is it normal for my pain to be in the crotch area with a burning irregular feeling with the kidney stone?

Avatar n tn My husband has a rather large kidney stone that is taking it's time passing. This isn't his first stone he typically has a flare-up every year. This time he was put on Tamsulosin and hydromorphone. It's been 48 hrs and although he is urinating (quite heavily) every 15 minutes or so, he has become very bloated and uncomfortable. His belly is distended and hard to the touch and we aren't sure why. He is a diabetic-taking metformin and glipizide orally 2x daily.
Avatar f tn I wake up with extreme lower back pain middle to the back to lower back after an hour of walking around I feel better I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago the only did a urine analysis that I had moderate amount of blood in my urine said had kidney stone but I don't think I do i can't go back to doctor yet anyone have a clue
Avatar m tn I am 57 and more than 25 years ago I had a calcium oxalate kidney stone event (small, passed through urination). Since then, I have been drinking large amounts of (mainly) water and recollect events or high urgency and difficulty to retain.
Avatar f tn Now you know that you have a kidney stone, make sure that you drink plenty of water and do not get dehydrated. 2-3 litres per day is usually recommended more if you sweat a lot. Kidney stones do not cause any problems unless they get too big and when they start to move. When the stone starts to move you will feel pain, feel nausea, sometimes a high fever and blood in the urine.
Avatar m tn I had agressive treatment with a combination of external radiation and Brachytherapy. I now on Uromax tablets (Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 mg) which is causing me severe pain when ejaculating. Please advice if there is anything I can as I am still very young.
Avatar m tn As per the doctor’s advise, if I take medicines like ‘Uromax’ or ‘Maxrin’ (Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4mg) I feel good but after taking 5-6 capsules, my sex goes tremendously down. So, I have stopped taking them. B. Past History : 1) April/May, 1996 : Suddenly I was suffering from burning and obstruction in releasing urine. I was then 42 years old. Optical urethrotomy was done on 31.05.1996 on a wrong diagnosis considering stricture urethra. Thereafter, I did not feel comfort.
Avatar m tn Maybe you passed a small kidney stone or something like that.

Avatar f tn 4 mg for 4 days for a kidney stone. I think this drug should never have been approved for use for anyone. I had no idea why I was feeling like I have a cold, very stuffy nose, headache, blurred vision, abdominal pain, lower back pain and lastly a bloody nose that started me looking at the side effects of this medicine... It causes all the symptoms I just listed. Why would anyone prescribe this medicine unless they are receiving payment from the drug company manufacturing it!
Avatar m tn 60-year-old female, overall good health, long history of chronic UTI and hematuria Pain led me to ER on Dec. 26, where a 1-2 mm stone (Right proximal ureter with mild bilateral hydronephrosis) was discovered. Followed up with urologist a few days later. We agreed on pushing fluids, straining urine, etc. As of repeat CT scan today, Jan. 22, stone has not moved. Pain still comes and goes, but isn't disabling.
Avatar n tn I'm 37 years old female. I had a CT scan and found many stone on both kidney. What does it mean? MSK or other ? Thank you.

Avatar m tn Wow , thanks so much for everyones information. I am a 44 yr. old female, I was caught off guard yesterday while walking to work. I was overcome with severe pain on one side of my back and stomach area. It was very hot here yet I would get chills and was feeling like I needed to vomit. Some dizziness and hard to even speak. I have given birth 9 times and would much rather do it 100 times more then go thru this pain, it is relentless !
Avatar m tn I presently do have an appointment scheduled for a second opinion with another Urologist, but to me, that reports sounds like I have a kidney stone and from what I read, it sounds like that could be causing some of my problems...I don't know for sure, but to me it sounds it. I know I am not a Dr. and if he says it is ok, then I have to believe that. I also read where if a stone is in the lower pole, it is less likely to pass on its own??? Can others shed some light to me?
Avatar f tn Typically the pain from a kidney stone is when the stone is higher up in ur ureter before it enters ur bladder. It blocks the flow of urine and this is very painful. Actually peeing out the stone can be relatively pain free.
Avatar f tn But im still having really sharp srabbing pain in my left side below my ribs but above my pelvis. I think its kidney stone but my mom says a kidney stone will be bad enough I will know I need to go to the ER for it. Any mommas here have experience with them? And what to do for them?

107860 tn?1302926740 When I was seven or eight months pregnant I found out that I have a kidney stone. ( found out do blood in my urine) The doctor told me it's the size of my pinkey finger. I've had some minor pain, later on I had an x-ray, ct done, and now they cannot find it, I know I didn't pass it. Now the doctor wants me to have an ultrasound. Why cannot they find it? Should I wait to have it removed to concive again??
