A doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 625mg + Tamsulosin medicine for 10 days to me. I have a side effect after taking Tamsulosin (Retrograde ejaculation) or any other ejaculation problem.
Is this normal or should I stop using Tamsulosin?
Or will it (Retrograde ejaculation ) recover after stop using ten days?

Are you taking Flomax for prostate issues? Flomax works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder and prostate, which leads to improved flow of urine and fewer symptoms of BPH. So now to my question, the urologist wants me to take two medications - generic names are tamsulosin 0.4mg and meloxicam 15mg. These were perscribed in place of Flomax and Celebrex in the hopes of reducing the inflammation and opening the neck of the bladder to release the urine now being held in my bladder. Should I take these meds even though the Flomax (tamsulosin) is not approved for women? Also considering my past medical history Im scared to take either meds, should I?

I am using Flowmax (Tamsulosin) for about 3 months for enlarged prostate. I started noticing my Testicles hang lower now and not tight anymore since I have been using this medication.. Could this be from the use of Tamsulosin?
In the mean time, while regularly consulting urologists, testing PSA, its velocity, doubling time and free %,, having lower abdomen scanning (CT and ultrasonography) I developed symptoms of BPH mainly shown as a very important post void residual (PVR, increasing from 100-200 to about 500mL). I am prescribed tamsulosin 0.4mg/d and doubling dose to 0.8mg/d but PVR remains very high and considering TURP or similar.

He said the medication he is giving me is way stronger than those and keep taking the medication.
I had agressive treatment with a combination of external radiation and Brachytherapy. I now on Uromax tablets (Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 mg) which is causing me severe pain when ejaculating. Please advice if there is anything I can as I am still very young.
This problem is usually treated with the use of oral analgesics(pain killers) and tamsulosin is thought to play an important role in the relief of the pain and unfortunately how tamsulosin produces a relief is also not known.

At 65 I was told I was "late" in getting BPH, but as anyone knows, better late but not better than never with this one. Anyway, I have tried Epsom Salt baths and UrinoZinc, as I did not like Tamsulosin at all. It made my breathing labored, and I don't like the idea of Retrograde Ejaculation. I have had painful external orgasms and urination, and although my enlargement is not that bad-the Urologist told me it was .5 and had others at 1 and 1.
Hi i experience frequent urination urge and urine retention and tamsulosin quite help me but symptoms still persist.
Pain initially began as irritated foreskin. It was chronically sore and hurt. Seemed like it was always raw. From there, I experienced burning when ejaculating and sometimes peeing. This started over a year ago. Urologist took urine test/bacterial culture which was normal. No stds present. We tried tamsulosin which I stopped because I couldn't tell if it was doing anything (took for a couple weeks). He said I could try an oral anti fungal or some sort of antibiotic next if I wanted.

t taking Flomax (tamsulosin), you might ask your doctor for it -- it dilates the muscles of the distal ureter and helps stones pass quicker.
If you were my patient and needed ureteroscopy, I would not be likely to leave a stent. Studies show that in an uncomplicated ureteroscopy, a stent is probably not needed.
