tamiflu while pregnant

Yes I took tamiflu when I was pregnant with my son it's on the lowest scale for harming you or the baby. In other words its safe.

30 weeks pregnant, has anyone ever took tamiflu while pregnant? Any side affects to you or your child after birth?

Have any of you had the flu while pregnant? I have it now and I'm miserable. I think I got it from my 9th grader, he had it last week.

I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and just found out I have the flu. My OB put me on Tamiflu but my primary said she wasn't sure about it. Has anyone been on this while pregnant? I'm worried it's going to hurt the baby. Also it did get the flu vaccine, I was only a couple weeks pregnant so I didn't know but I'm a little mad they push a vaccine that obviously doesn't work.

My bf got it and while he was being seen in the ER they had me be seen also and perscribed tamiflu. Ive heard pregnant women can get the flu shot but id rather not :/ flu passed thru me and so far baby boy is healthy. 5 weeks left til hes here!

i was about 7 weeks pregnant and went to the ER,they said they werent sure if i had the swine flu or flu but not sure so they treated me for the swine flu anyways because i was pregnant,they gave me tamiflu....i wanted to know if there was any risks to the baby from having the flu or from the tamiflu?

So I've super sick since yesterday went in to the er tonight and was told i have the h1n1 infuenza they told me i have to be put on medication wich is tamiflu but i am so scared for my baby I'm am 31 weeks pregnant and have two other kids has anyone experience this while pregnant and took that medication was it safe for baby?

Has anyone had the flu while they're pregnant. I'm 33wks 4days and I wonder what should I do. I feel like crap.

I am 5 weeks pregnant with my 3RD baby. I came down with a cold on Thursday. My cough is horrible and I have been running fevers a lot. I called my OB and she called in a RX for tamiflu. I've never been on it before but she assured me that it was safe. She said my cough may turn into pneumonia or bronchitis and that may be worse then taking the meds. I never went thru this with my boys so I'm a little unsure. I did research and it seems safe. What are others opinion on this.

Tamiflu is in no way safe during pregnancy. The risks outweigh the benefits I'm pretty sure.its class c. I had flu last January 7 months pregnant and they couldn't give me anything. But tell me to stay hydrated!!

I'm stuck in bed with flu symptoms been trying to get as much Vitamin C as I possibly can and sweat it out with heat bc I don't want to take any meds while I'm pregnant

My husband and MIL had the flu over Christmas, but I had a flu shot and was fine. You can take Tamiflu while pregnant if you do get the flu.

All they can tell me is that their recommendation for pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, is to take Tamiflu even without symptoms if there has been exposure but that it is my decision. I just cannot decide which way to go but I'm leaning towards not taking the Tamiflu. However, if I get very sick, I will regret that decision as well. UGH...

I was diagnosed with influenza on sunday in the er and the doctor prescribed me with tamiflu 75mg but I'm worried about my baby getting harmed by the medication because I'm only 14 weeks...any comments or recommendations???

but it seems like all the scares are brought up by people who are NOT in the medical field, while medical professionals agree that it is both safe and important for pregnant women to get it. Plus, I guess it also passes some of the immunity on to the baby, which is not able to get any of the vaccines until at least 6 months of age. I don't know...it seemed to be the right decision to me at least.

I had the same symptoms your having and I went to the emergency room cause its not okay to chills and have a fever while pregnant , well I ended up having the flu . The prescribed me this medicine called " tamiflu " & told me to take Tylenol with less strength but I would take mine every 6 hrs.

I had Tamiflu once while working in a nursing home and only because i was the only charge nurse there at night. It was a precaution for me. I did NOT have the flu and did not want it. I do not know when it is supposed to be administered but probably you could google it......... I've never had the flu (knock on wood) and have never taken the vaccine. Surely down the road it might catch up with me but my personal convictions just won't let me do it.

My four-year-old grandson, who has leukemia, was just diagnosed with the flu despite having the shot this year. I also had the shot prior to my diagnosis. it was too late for Tamiflu) and he was good to go. Tamiflu is very expensive and from what I have heard time, rest, and fluids unfortuantely.

Hi everyone! I went to the ER yesterday because i thought i was getting the flu and strep throat, but according to their tests they both came negative. Well, the doc decided to give me the tamiflu and other medicine for bronchitis. They didn't do a chest xray because im 16 weeks pregnant, but because of my bath cough. No fever-- but everything did come up, water, oj, fruit and yogurt.

I am a teacher, so I know its been going around, but being pregnant with the flu is not ideal at all :-( Fortunately, I have no stomach symptoms at all. Its all in my head, throat and ears. Feel like my head is going to explode. Not to mention the awful body aches...

I just got out of the hospital last week after getting a virus and being dehydrated, and not even two days later my hubby started coughing and running a fever, the minute the fever started I got a bag and packed my stuff and went to my moms till he got to a doc. My doctor started me on tamiflu when he got his results back just to be safe so I dont get it!!!! Also I am not allowed to go around my husband for 5-7 days.
