I had the same symptoms your having and I went to the emergency room cause its not okay to chills and have a fever while pregnant , well I ended up having the flu . The prescribed me this medicine called " tamiflu " & told me to take Tylenol with less strength but I would take mine every 6 hrs.

Yes, thanksgiving week, my son had the flu. I was so sick and was sure I caught it too, but I could only take tylenol and Tamiflu. Drink lots of liquids. Other than that, you're literally going to have to sweat it out. Hope you feel well soon.

Did your OB prescribe tamiflu? I'm sorry for you! My husband has it and I have a headache, nausea and my temp got up 2 degree higher earlier has been back to normal since but don't feel like I have the flu. I started tamiflu a few hours ago and all this makes me very nervous. I haven't even taken tylenol bc I hate putting meds in my body.

I was told not to take any medicine unless absolutely need to. I only took 2x Tylenol for the entire week (when the fever was getting really high, I didn't want it to be over 102). Sigh... I didn't realize it could be flu because when I first ran a fever, it was just a scratchy throat with no other flu symptoms.

I am 5 weeks pregnant with my 3RD baby. I came down with a cold on Thursday. My cough is horrible and I have been running fevers a lot. I called my OB and she called in a RX for tamiflu. I've never been on it before but she assured me that it was safe. She said my cough may turn into pneumonia or bronchitis and that may be worse then taking the meds. I never went thru this with my boys so I'm a little unsure. I did research and it seems safe. What are others opinion on this.

My four-year-old grandson, who has leukemia, was just diagnosed with the flu despite having the shot this year. I also had the shot prior to my diagnosis. Obviously it doesn't cover strain B, which is what he has. My husband and I kept him until this morning so we have been exposed big time. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and just found out I have the flu. My OB put me on Tamiflu but my primary said she wasn't sure about it. Has anyone been on this while pregnant? They did not get it, AND when one of them went for the Tamiflu, the pharmacy was out! so, the little one did missed the window for the tamiflu. Yes I took tamiflu when I was pregnant with my son it's on the lowest scale for harming you or the baby. In other words its safe.

My OB called me and told me that as a prevention she wanted to put me on Tamiflu which is not recommended for pregnant women because the side effects are unknown. She said that the benefits would outweigh the negatives most likely because there have already been deaths linked to this strain of flu. The pharmacist didn't seem worried because I am 18 weeks along. Any of you ladies been put on tamiflu? Should I trust my doctor and pharmacist?

OB says to take Tamiflu and start today, but Tamiflu is not recommended for pregnancy based on unknown reactions to unborn children. Hubby and I don't know what decision is the best for us. Any opinions? The prescription is waiting for me...just so scared either way. I am leaning towards taking my chances and not taking it, but that is not the recommendation. Get to a doctor and get a tamiflu prescription asap if you test positive. It took me almost a month to recover.

Unfurtunately, there is not much they can do to help you battle the flu but give you fluids and Tylenol. Drink as much fluids as possible and take tylenol to keep your fever contained. Everything will be all right. :) My baby is doing well, everything is normal and I am feeling much better.

For the last four days I been having flu like symtoms (fever, night sweats, body aches) , seen the dr. and he perscribed TAMIFLU. All I know is my symptoms were getting worse day by day . I have been on Tamiflu rom Dec 29 up til now . Yes I have been better since the first time I got in contact with it ,but now it's only been done to a sore throat with that feeling you have something scraping your throat but nothing comes out . ve super sick since yesterday went in to the er tonight and was told i have the h1n1 infuenza they told me i have to be put on medication wich is tamiflu but i am so scared for my baby I'm am 31 weeks pregnant and have two other kids has anyone experience this while pregnant and took that medication was it safe for baby?
