I currently am not taking any other medications, I was just wondering if I should avoid certain ones that may trigger the arrhythmia or make them worse. Thanks!

I got the flu and was out sick for a week. The doctor said the medications don't really help and just to rest and drink a lot of fluids. If you can't keep fluids down make sure you don't get dehydrated.

I jusr had the exact same thing happen to me and the thing that helped me most was tamaflu. But you have to have a script for that. Other medications I was on were musinex D, throat spray, nyquil without the alcohol in it.

i was about 7 weeks pregnant and went to the ER,they said they werent sure if i had the swine flu or flu but not sure so they treated me for the swine flu anyways because i was pregnant,they gave me tamiflu....i wanted to know if there was any risks to the baby from having the flu or from the tamiflu?

So I'm partially aware of what's safe and whats not (obviously not as advanced as doctors and pharmacists) but it is most definitely safe to take. In what time frame would someone infected see symptoms if any at all? 2. Would you suggest testing and if so what test would be the correct test at 9 weeks. Would TAMIFLU affect the result?

Hi everyone! I went to the ER yesterday because i thought i was getting the flu and strep throat, but according to their tests they both came negative. Well, the doc decided to give me the tamiflu and other medicine for bronchitis. They didn't do a chest xray because im 16 weeks pregnant, but because of my bath cough. No fever-- but everything did come up, water, oj, fruit and yogurt.

Leslee had the flu shot this year, but her daughter that lives with them and is going to college developed Influenza A, last Tuedsay, Wenesday went to ER, dx with the flu, started on Tamiflu 75mg twice daily for 5 days, this put Leslee at great risk because of her immune system, after doing some research I found that the Tamiflu also is used to prevent flu, so I called Les and she went to her clinic today and they have now ordered the Tamiflu for her 75mg daily for 10 days.

i wouldnt take nor recommend anything harmful. I caught a nasty flu bug that was going around my job.got extremely sick, vomiting, dehydration, fever, chills and aches. Couldn't keep liquids down and had to get IV FLUIDS at hospital. I was prescribed TAMIFLU and it helped me. My husband researched n talked w doctors before i took it. Being so sick was more dangerous for me than taking the meds. I have other high risk factors. From my understanding its a safe option.

Flu vaccine does not work. But Tamiflu is safe. Rest with plenty of fluids and it shall pass.

told us that he was not eleigible to recieve a prescription for Tamiflu. Where can I find any federal or state restictions for eleigibility.

Was sent home with Tamiflu, Prednisone, and Azithromycin (to ward off any complications). They also gave me a breathing treatment which cleared me out somewhat. Now, the next day, the heavy respiratory congestion and cough is back full force. My stomach muscles are killing me from coughing. What is the best and quickest way for me to rid myself of the congestion? I hit my rescue inhaler but it doesn't help. Normally my Asthma is mild.

Yes, thanksgiving week, my son had the flu. I was so sick and was sure I caught it too, but I could only take tylenol and Tamiflu. Drink lots of liquids. Other than that, you're literally going to have to sweat it out. Hope you feel well soon.

Get to a doctor and get a tamiflu prescription asap if you test positive. It took me almost a month to recover.

Ive already started taking tamiflu and cough syrup with a decongestant. How dangerous is the flu to my baby. I know a high temperature can cause birth deffects. Luckly i havent had a fever. But what about the virus in general?
