Before, i was on zoloft and adivan, mostly took the adivan at night for sleeping issues.. But that hasnt worked, i saw my new psych md today and she gave me seroquel, and told me to only take it before bed time. I'll still be taking zoloft but no more adivan.. Has anyone took seroquel? Again, i have panic disorder, low self esteem... and depression sometimes...

Zoloft is a great medication. Do not be afraid of the "side effects" that you read about. As a matter of fact its best not to read them at all. Every time there is a new medication they have to have studies with people. Any and ALL of the symptoms that any of the people in these studies say they get has to be included as a side effect. Your doctor prescribed this medication for you because the benefits outweigh the "possible" complications.

Keep up with your pills being that your good with them and hopefully it will work out for you. As for the dose upgrade I am taking the Zoloft 25mg for 4 days and then moving up to 50. That may be what your doc wants but U would check with him or her first.

Hi. I am taking 100mg of Zoloft for mild depression and irritability. I had loved it apart from the sexual side effects. Wish to God there was an SSRI without those side effects. I have had depression for many years and have been taking zoloft only. Up until recently I have never had depression bad enough to have physical effects. New to the forum. Have been on Zoloft for 5 days. 50mg mornings, it is not easy. Taking Lorazepram 1/2 dose pm to sleep due to PTSD/night anxiety. Was not taking Xanax until I started Zoloft. Anxiety did increase have been having to take 1/2 xanax by afternoon to calm the jetttery, jump out of your skin, hot flashes anxiety. Trying to stay with the Zoloft but do not like taking the benzos, but if the Zoloft helps in the long term will be worth it.

I take Prozac for OCD. I have had OCD for many years but just started taking Prozac in October. I have gradually noticed a difference and usually for the better but still have times when I seem like I'm slipping back again. With how sleepy I felt after taking the Zoloft yesterday, I made the decision to take that at night when I am settled at home or the boyfriend's house. I was really concerned about taking zoloft too when I first found out I was pregnant because of all of the horrible things I saw and heard on tv about lawsuits... My OCD is centered around irrational thinking and it took Wellbutrin about 4 weeks before it really started to kick in for me so I'm guessing that Zoloft will be the same.

Hi, I have been taking antidepressants for 4 years now I'm at 100 mg a day. I think 20 is way to small a dose to do anything, the normal range is like 150mg. I heard yaz is not a safe pill at all so I'm glad you arent taking it anymore! I don't have any side effects, except I get headaches if I skip a day or two.
