YES! I'm a 22 year old male taking 50 mg vyvanse daily. I'm in recovery for alcohol and cocaine abuse. Been sober now for 10 months, and yes it has been difficult not to abuse vyvanse. Addicts think different than most people. We find something we like and all we can think is more more more. What I do is get a friend to hold my vyvanse and give it me as needed. I don't recommend holding on to them yourself!!! Bad idea!!

You need a doctor to help you with your eating disorder. It is not medicine it is a disorder and it is dangerous to your health. There are doctor that specialize in eating disorders. As someone with a prescription and needs it, I can understand the desire to take just a -little- bit more to study just a -little- bit better and make you feel smarter for the test. Logically, you have to realize--a little vyvanse should help you focus, but like the last poster said, too much will just make you strung out and twitchy for the test. You need to sleep!

I stopped the meds about a year ago and just recently got prescribed them once again. Im currently taking vyvanse 60mgs every morning because it really worked for me. But ive been experiencing side effect like dizziness,nausea, ive slept once in the past week for 5 hours. Im very confused, i see flashing lights in the corner of my eyes. Small convulsions in my legs, slight redness to my eyes since the second day taking it.

This is a really old post but I stopped taking vyvanse for a few yes due to the antidepressant I was on. My 16 year old daughter is suffering from moderate/severe cystic acne. She has been through several antibiotics with no results. She is currently on Bactrim and due to go back to Dermatologist tomorrow with suggestion of starting Accutane. She woke up with this acne in mid-December and began taking Vyvanse a few weeks before. Hello, yes I have been taking this combination of Vyvanse (70mg per day in the am) and Clonidine (0.2mg in the afternoon and 0.2mg at night). I highly prefer Vyvanse over adderall because I do not suffer from side effects w/Vyvanse as with the adderall. The Vyvanse is much smoother than most all other adhd drugs. I have never experienced shortness of breath while taking Vyvanse, however, I am 25 years old and 180lbs. I am also a Registered Nurse.

Could your hbp on vyvanse be aggravated by a rebound effect from not taking atenolol? Or perhaps you have too high of a vyvanse dose?

we have tried several meds. currently he is on 50 mg of vyvanse, 40 mg of citalopram and 2mg of abilify a day. his behavior is beyond horrible. should i just take him off meds?

I have a friend who's son (no, really) was taking Vyvanse. He experienced severe dry mouth, hand-wringing, decrease affect, and a very short fuse. Hope you get this resolved; I'm sure you feel miserable. I believe that my friend's son began taking Metadate with more success. Still not sure of any contraindications with Xanax, though.

my step son is supposed to take vyvanse and clonidine, but he has been out of vyvance for 3weeks now and seems fine taking only clonidine.

t know if it will ever go away, but my 16 year old son has been on Vyvanse for 4 years and last year was diagnosed with OCD after taking him off for the summer for a drug break. He prescribed Vyvanse to take in the morning then before bed I am supposed to take Topamax (migraine medicine) and Trintellix (an antidepressant) as well as a diet. I started on the Vyvanse mostly b/c I also suffer from ADHD and it is really great so far for my attention at work. However I am really leery of taking new meds especially if I do not need them and even so I would like to see how I react to one before taking others on top of it.
