The tramadol I could never stand even under the best conditions.I did try the vitamins and whey protein.Feels like its not doing much.I don't know how I will get through this one.
Well day 2 of no tramadol and I feel really bad. Last night was so bad with the sweats that I had to put towels on my pillow and bed. I hope today is better.
I am pregnant with my second child, 3 months pregnant, I've been taking Tramadol for 3 years and I am addicted. My doctor told me wean off of them but its very hard to do. I take one and a half tramadol everyday. Do you have any suggestions for me to get off of them QUICK?
Methadone, Suboxone, Tramadol. I pray that you and your lady get clean and stay clean without the use of any drug, especially a maintenance drug. If you guys really want to be clean, and I think you do, then stop the drugs. Stop trying to take one drug to get off of another drug because this can, and will, go on for a long time. The pharmaceutical companies are not going to stop making the stuff so it is up to you guys to stop the madness.
I'm tapering but my patience is running thin, I just want it to end now, the only other pill I have is methadone and from what I've read people are using tramadol to get off methadone.
I am going to a dr to prescribe me suboxone next week but in the meantime I was wondering if I were to take the tramadol, could that help with my withdrawal symptoms? Thanks......
What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking tramadol? You should not take tramadol if you have ever been addicted to drugs or alcohol, if you are currently intoxicated (drunk), or if you have recently used any of the following drugs: alcohol; narcotic pain medicine; sedatives or tranquilizers (such as Valium); medicine for depression or anxiety; medicine for mental illness (such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia); or street drugs.
what can i do to help with the suboxone leg shakes...
This will not continue as there have been MANY cases of severe w/d syndrome associated with ULTRAM and the word is out to most doctors that combining tramadol with the anti-depressant fluoextine causes "serotonin syndrome" The docs do not tell us that trams are weak mu-opioids, just as addictive as full agonist narcotics, and to boot, have quite the anti-depressant effect. So not only does one have to feel the physical w/d's, there are the mental w/d's as well.
You could try taking an over the counter painkiller containing Paracetamol with the Tramadol. A doctor told me that it’s safe to do and that Tramadol actually works better when taken with Paracetamol. The fatigue you mentioned when you stop taking it is likely to be at least partially due to the letdown you typically get when you suddenly stop taking it after your body has become used to it.
Have you ever mixed tramadol with oxycontin or hydrocodone? I have a relative who is addicted to oxycontin regularly and was recently prescribed tramadol as well. I was wondering if it is safe to mix the two?
Hi I'm new here so pl bear with me..... I've been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for the past 4 years and have had lots of nerve blocks, denervations and botox injections done - nothing has really helped. I've been given Tramadol ER 200mg x twice a day by my Dr and they seem to be working but are making me feel weird/really tired/tinnitus/tearful. Should I keep taking them And how long shall I give them before I know if they are really for me? Thank you all very much.
I've seen some treatment centers advertise that they use tramadol to help with opiate withdrawal, yet I've also read that taking tramadol during opiate withdrawal can INCREASE withdrawal symptoms. Can someone set me straight on this? Thanks in advance.
But what it did to me specifically that no other regular opiate ever did, was messed up my head BAD. I've never in my life before tramadol has problems with panic attacks...but into tramadol withdrawal I developed them....and they wouldn't go away....I just kept having them over and over and over again for months. I was convinced I was going to die...have a heart attack...just keel over....and I couldn't make myself think otherwise. I ended up in the ER 4 times....
Hello Andrew, I'm sure you have probably received replies to your posting by now, but I thought I should let you know about my experience with Ultram (tramadol). I was taking Ultram for about 6 months, right after its introduction, for lower back pain from 2 spinal surgeries. During this time, I was also suffering from depression. I was prescribed elevil (tricyclic antidepressant) along with Ultram. These two meds didn't mix!
Taking methadone and Vicodin together or taking methadone and heroin together is not "fine". Not sure where you got that information or why you're asking?
Some people find tramadol addictive and some people experience seizures when taking tramadol or when withdrawing from it. Even though you have been taking methadone, you should still take tramadol seriously. By all means talk to the folks in the SA forum for advice on how to minimise withdrawal symptoms but please also talk with your dr about this.
Can anyone tell me if i took tramadol with my methadone will taking the tramadol cause withdrawal from the methadone. The people at the clinic said that it would but they also say other things that I found werent true.I would only be taking it for a few days so getting addicted wouldnt be a problem.
I find that most have the same problem with both of these drugs. Tramadol has similar issues as you can read in my blogs and especially in the comments people leave. Please take time to read those before you make your final decision. You can reach my blogs by clicking my name in blue, and than blogs. Reads through them, read the comments. Go to me website and read the testimonials of patients who have been in your situation, they are real and heartfelt. Good luck to you.
For the longest time the only time I heard of doctors giving out methadone was for heroin addiction . I guess they were taking the lesser of to evils approach .Then come to find that is hard to come off of as well. I don't know when they started using to DT off prescription pills ,Personally I don't think they should be .They are making things worse NOT better .It really upsets me when ever I here doctors are using it for DT.
I dont think you can beat that you just have to go threw it you already to lat for the withdrawal vitamins no its time for the protein drinks go to walmart and pick up some whey protein shake mix its 15 bucks the chocolate flavor ant bad its full of ecential amino acids along with vitamins and the extra protein your going to need to heal your brain from the methadone you where on it 20yr wow well we had a guy...
I had got off of everything for about 8 months but somehow managed to relaps. About 2 1/2 months ago I started taking METHADONE with the attitude that it was a wonder drug that gets you off of everything, so I hear from friends, (which is bullcrap!). This past Friday I realized that it is time to stop and get a grip on my life. After day 3 the symptoms start. No sleep, anxiaty, stomach cramps, leg cramps, deep depression, ect.... I broke down and took a oxy 40 and it didn't even phase me.
If you know what his trigger points are, maybe you can get him to avoid them. What ever he associates with taking pills will restimulate him, so change his envoirment. Keep in touch, and God bless.....
I started out on Lexapro fine and have no problems with it still but with Tramadol I feel completely alone with dealing what I can clearly see as an addiction. I started out at 2 pills in the am and 2 and night. Now I take ten in the morning till I start to slow down around lunch time then I take ten more. I take 20 50mg pills a day and I can't stop. The quantities consistently increase no matter how I try to stop taking them all together. The withdrawls scare the hell out of me.
1-i've been taking a dose of 10-20mg. of methadone now for about 6wks.i was using it to get off oc's & morphine.when i tried to stop taking the morphine, i "knew" i was in big trouble, as far as kicking without some kidda help.i have detoxed myself several times doing hydrocodone.
i'm somewhat confused, the first thing that comes to mind is why on earth would you think about taking this pill you found(tramadol).if the methadone is helping you stay away from other opiates and keeping you out of trouble, stick with the program.i'm assuming you know that meth is an opiate,to take a tramadol while on meth really wont do a darn thing.meth is not a blocker like suboxone so any opiate you add to meth could enhance the effect of either but unlikely with tram.
yeah, i reckon it might be tramadol now. mixed in with lingering methadone w/d's. fun. it's not all bad but i go through periods where i think i'm dying. feel like i'm right back at square one...yuk. i can only hope tramadol yuks won't last too long, a few days maybe!? can't really compare to m'done i reckon. so how long off for you now? must be... up around 50 or 60 days? well done!
