as far as the cytomel .....I am only taking 125mg of synthroid and 10 mg I am decreasing it also I have to go get labs next week so ......they can figure it all out then I cannot take the shaking my whole body was jolting around....if I did not know better I would of thought it was a siezure...thanks for the advice.....
I have been on the internet and can not find an answer. My synthroid was increased from 100mcg to 112 mcg. My tsh is 5.5 . My question is how will my other medications be working until my tsh is in the normal range . Will the level of my meds be increased in my system until my levels are back to normal.
I've been dealing with depression and bi-polar for 8 years. I've actually quit taking all mood stabilizers and have been quite happy and stable on just my anit-depressant, Wellbutrin. Recently diagnosed with hypothyroid and started taking synthroid. I just feel like I'm walking around in a huge fog. I'm tired all the time and cannot concentrate. I don't really feel depressed, but I feel like isolating and don't want to do anything.
DO NOT take any Vitamins for at least 4 hours after the Synthroid and also wait at least an hour before taking Bi-Polar meds after Synthroid.
I took a heart med at the same time as my thyroxin one day and felt like I was totally off the planet when I went on Thyroxin!

I have been taking prozac and wellbutrin. Some Drs. say its ok and some dont. I have been going on my second week with no wellbutrin and am staying nausea all the time. I felt like the Wellbutrin was causing me to gain weight.
Ohh goodness, I am so sorry to hear your distress but even though Paxil is a very good drug it is a sonnabitch to quit for a lot of people. Two weeks is fairly quick to withdraw completely from it and this may be the reason ur having withdrawal, but saying that I was on Paxil for 13yrs and it took me several months to withdraw and even then I had severe withdrawal. I tend to think that the better a drug works on the person the more troublesome the withdrawal.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a bout 4 months ago, and put on Synthroid. I started taking it and felt no change as far as being tired for the first month. Then, the second month rolled around and I went from weighing 125 lbs to all of a sudden weighing 140 lbs. I have always been skinny due to anorexia history when I was a teenager, but I live a pretty healthy life now. I eat a healthy diet and try to exercise when I have time.
it actually is known to increase anxiety due to the over-stimulating effects it has. I am taking both Wellbutrin and Klonopin (clonazepam) and I have found the Wellbutrin to increase my anxiety. Be careful with the clonazepam because it is addicting.
You only risk having a seizure from Wellbutrin if you already have a lowered seizure threshold from epilepsy, bulimia or alcoholism.
The risk that does exist would relate to the fact that alcohol withdrawal tends to lower the seizure threshold and Wellbutrin does the same. And believe it or not, you experience mild alcohol withdrawal during the night after you drink more than two drinks of alcohol (hence the disrupted sleep). So, the risk depends on how much more than two drinks you have....
Am currently taking Wellbutrin and would like to give 5-HTP a try as I am sooooo tired and fatigued and trying to not take something I shouldn't...
I read not to take 5-HTP with anti-depressents that are a SSRI. From what I can read about Wellbutrin, it is not one of those. Guess I could call the pharmacist to be certain before mixing the two.
re on Adderall, Wellbutrin, Propanolol, Librium and Luvox? Are the Librium and Propanolol the newest meds added on? How long have you been taking them, and the other drugs? What all exactly have you been diagnnosed with?
I'm a firm believer that in some cases, less is more. You're on some pretty heavy hitting meds, all together. That is a little worrisome to me. Who prescribes these? A psychiatrist? How old are you?
I am currently taking 15 mg of valium a day and just started 100 mg Wellbutrin a day for severe anxiety. The only information I read is that Wellbutrin is for Depression, is this also a medication to help with anxiety?
I've been on 150mg of Effexor XR and 300mg of Wellbutrin for maybe 9 months now. I suddenly started feeling sick after taking the two together. 2-3 hours after taking the two I get the "zapping" feeling some people describe, my heart rate increases (as high as 120), sometimes I feel nauseous, I have trouble focusing, and I generally feel sick. This has been getting worse over the last 2 months. I went to the ER the other day because I felt so bad and my heart rate was scaring me.
After taking Wellbutrin 150mg 2x daily and my Zoloft 100mg together fro the first time I woke disoriented and dizzy
Just was wondering if I should of started the wellbutrin one a day to get used to it.
