Common Questions and Answers about Taking suboxone for fun

suboxone

460591 tn?1207150799 I don't take a suboxone "here and there". I take suboxone pretty regularly. I was taking it every day up until last week. My buddy doesn't have enough to keep supplying me with a quarter a day until he gets a refill, so I am trying to cope without it. When I am home, I need to take suboxone because it triggers cravings and being home just is all around bad. At school, I can live without suboxone because there are no tempting situations.
1227909 tn?1267853479 I took suboxone for all 72 weeks of treatment. Finally got to SVR and have been cured for three years now. I didn't take the tele - just did regular old SOC. Now I'm on subutex trying to wean off all the Subs after about 7 years.........not so easy to do as it appears and I'm really in no rush to go through all the pain of that! I'm sure you can relate! But yes it is possible to succeed taking the meds together.

Avatar m tn I've been taking Suboxone for months while taking some benzo's in between but mostly Suboxone. It's been weeks without taking any suboxone what so ever but I did take a Tramadol 50mg Sunday night but since then I haven't taken any Suboxone or Tramadol.I got to the point where I was taking 16mg of Suboxone a day until a few weeks ago when I was prescribed for Tramadol which I took about 75% of the prescription before quitting altogether.
Avatar n tn Right now I’m in a 3rd world country where I can walk right in the pharmacy and get it. My wife was there for me getting off of suboxone and it out her through hell. Right now she is in the states and doesn’t know about my relapse, I would like to stop but I’m having trouble getting motivated, get through these withdrawals before she even comes back. How long should these wds last if I have been taking them for 1 1/2 months ; about 1,000+ a day?

Avatar m tn I have been on suboxone a while. I am going to be without it for 2 days because of a mistake of mine. I have several methadone pills from old scrips and was wondering if I could take them to get me through the two days. I will be working so having nothing is not a good option. Will it get me high? Chances of PW? Thank you!
Avatar m tn Typically, taking downer drugs, and opiates are downer drugs, make people feel better while they're on them and more depressed when they're not. It's not like taking an antidepressant, which once your brain gets used to it and it works, it keeps working all the time. You don't say if this was prescribed or you're using it on your own.
Avatar m tn I had been clean for over a month off percs and a couple weeks off suboxone. I just finally gave in to my leg and hip pain and reached for my prescription bottle. I know I should have flushed it when I stopped but figured after a month or 2 I could handle taking 1 or 2 if I was in severe pain but found out I was wrong about that. Now I am paying for it severly my head is pounding and I got my 2 little ones wanting a fun day with daddy.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone. Just wanted to check in. I'm still waiting for a bed to open at rehab. Male beds are open but no female beds. Last week they said I would probably have a bed by Friday or Saturday but that's come and gone. I did start lowering my Suboxone on my own, I've stopped taking 8mg a day and instead I am taking 6mg. Haven't notices any difference in doing that so that's good.
Avatar f tn i am 4 weeks preg and have been taking oxycodone for the last 4 weeks but was recently on suboxone and relapsed i have an appt with my dr in a few days but am so nervous whether to start the subs back or have dr switch me to subutex any advice please going crazy here
Avatar f tn Not sure if I'm posting in the right place but I need answers & advice. I am 37 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. I hurt my back (herniated/ bulging disc) due to a car accident & was prescribed 120 norcos a month by my pain management doctor then later by my obgyn. At 7 months pregnant my obgyn took me off the Norco without a taper plan and said she didn't want to worry about the baby having withdrawals at birth.
Avatar m tn I've got 2 ruptured disk in my lower back. I've been taking these pills now for going on a year. I take a couple pills in the morning and the pain in my back is gone. From that point forward I'm taking pills just because and I can't stop. I want to stop altogether but the withdrawals are killing me. Since I get a prescription the pills are always here. I'm working with my doctor to get my back fixed. And once I do that I've got stop. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn m on my first month of taking 30mg per day. I also take 30mg of Temazepam at night for sleep. At the end of the month I plan on having the doctor in the program prescribe me Suboxone to get off the Methadone. My question is this: Is the Suboxone going to affect the Temazepam's effect? Sleeping is a problem for me, and without the Temazapam I doubt I'd get any sleep if Suboxone stopped the Temazepam from working. Thank you for any help you may recomend.

Avatar f tn Get your doctor to understand that you are committed to be free of all drugs including Suboxone. Do it for your kids and for your self. I know you can. The light is there, and it will get closer every day. It will take time, but don't give up.
Avatar f tn I was presciberd suboxone from my orthopedic /pain mgmt. Drs. As a solution to not taking pain medication i have long tern bone desease i was not accepting of daily narcotics as a way of life.. Suboxone was suggestoed and prescribed as an alternative and described to me as a perfect solution as i would not feel any narcotic effects. I started 3 months ago and as i started to read up on what i was taking wanted off my dr. Suggested i stop reading stuff on the internet..
478417 tn?1208547207 just make sure your sub doctor and your surgeon are aware of the fact that you are taking suboxone for treatment for your recovery...have them talk with each other for a good plan for you...its the best way. as far as non-narcotic pain relievers i know neurontin/lyrica is ok, but i really am quite sure this wont help you with your toe, lol...the only things i take other than that with my suboxone is advil or tylenol, heating pad or bag of frozen peas...lol!
