I started taking phentermine 35 mg B12 lipotropic shots once a week I have been on the program for two weeks this is my third week I go to the doctors to weight in on Fridays. The first week I lost 8 pounds the second week I lost 5 pounds, I hope I lose another 5 on Friday. I need to lose about 40 pounds in total. I have cut out all junk food and I could not do that on my own before the program, I constantly crave chocolate and chips and hard candy.

Does anyone here have experience with Phentermine? My doctor let me talk him into it for weight loss last June. It's supposed to be only taken for 8-12 weeks, but since I've kept losing weight and my blood pressure stays low, he's kept refilling my prescription. I take 37.5 mg once a day. I know this drug is a stimulant, etc. and it can become addictive. Every once in a while-- like today-- I don't take it, just to see if *not* taking it bugs me.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

I have been taking Phentermine for about a week and I have a lot of red, ichy bumps (they look and are symptomic as mosquito bites generally behave). If I didn't know better I would think they were mosquito bites! They are contained on my torso, sides and back - these presented after about 3 days on Phentermine, and I cannot belive that I would end up with 30+ mosquito bites in one day - they all appeared overnight. I have been taking Phentermine for 2 and a 1/2 months now. I started taking it in April almost on the same day as my period started. Almost one week after my period stopped another one began. So I made a dr appointment. It is an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system. It worked great for me loosing weight. But, I do have 2 friends that mixed alcohol and phentermine and it was NOT a pretty site. It can increase some of the side effects of phentermine.

Deffinitely stop with the phentermine...I'm not sure about the synthroid but the phentermine hasn't been studied with pregnant women however woman taking it with the other fen (can't remember the name) had a miscarriage rate of 1/3 as opposed to the normal miscarriage rate of 12-15%. You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine. Its bad enough that you run the risk of heart problems with Phentermine but adding energy drinks to that just adds to the risk. I took Phentermine for a while. I never drank energy drinks because I cant stand them but I now have heart problems because of the Phentermine.

I'm on 30mg phentermine. ive been taking it for 3 weeks now. lost 4lbs, ate one good meal, and gained it back all in one day. I was down to salads and water, with no results what so ever. Usually low, key, happy person. Was diagnosed with Hypothyrodism 2 1/2 yrs ago. In August 2010, finally got my levels to be within normal limits. Hello, Phentermine can alter your blood sugar levels, if you are going to try using it please use it with caution and monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently... if you notice changes and if your blood sugars are becoming too low then stop taking phentermine, and seek further advice about what you could use instead of phentermine. Hi my question I guess could be under the weight-loss forum too but is it possible to experience a better mood while taking the drug Phentermine? I have been taking it for about 5 or 6 months now and have noticed that I really feel much better taking it. I've gone maybe a few day's at a time missing it and then when I take it again I just feel so much better. I have lost around 30lbs so far. I suggest you be very careful with phentermine, it is very similar to the chemical makeup of methamphetamine. The side effects of high dose or extended use are similar to amphetamine. This drug can blow out your adrenal glands, make you grind teeth until they rot, cause nervous ticks. When amphetamines were more regulated to sell as diet aids, phentermine started to be the main drug sold for hunger suppression. Be careful, people do get strung out on that drug.

I contacted my surgeon and he prescribed Phentermine and it has done the trick. I lost 8 pounds in the first 6 days taking it. If you have high blood pressure, any history of addiction, etc. your doctor may not rescribe it - and some doctors will not prescribe it at all. Good luck!

I was prescribed Cymbalta 2 weeks ago, but have been fearful of taking it. I started it today. After taking the first pill, I started to search the web for comments. So far, I am TERRIFIED about this medication. I have read several horror stories. Mostly about the withdraw symptoms. I do not think I will be taking another dose.
