Taking nuvaring out early

Common Questions and Answers about Taking nuvaring out early

Avatar f tn Are my chances high if I had been on the ring and he always withdrew even with me taking it out early and also if that had been a miscarriage, bleeding stopped 2 days after, what are the chances of me getting pregnant 10 days after? Thanks so much!
1460967 tn?1364956639 Thank you so much for your reply!! I ended up taking out the nuva ring early!!! I absolutely hate it and as soon as I took it out within a day I started feeling better!! All of my symptoms have pre much disappeared...... I would definitely not ever recommend the nuva ring to anyone!!
Avatar n tn I went home on break and checked my calendar and realized i should have taken the nuvaring out the day before. I took the ring i had in out, and went back to work for four hours until i could pick up my new nuvaring at the pharmacy after work. I put it in as soon as i got home, thinking i was putting it in on the first day of my period so i would be immediately protected. I woke up the next morning and now there is no blood, so i must not be having a period.
Avatar n tn I was on nuvaring for 3 months before taking it out April 15. I had a "period" from April 17-April 19, and then had unprotected sex April 23. Since then, I've had nausea, swollen and tender breasts, sensitivity to smells, and have vacillated between eating everything in site to not having an appetite from the nausea. I started experiencing really light spotting from May 8 until today.
1027094 tn?1327433332 BUT it does seem that alot more people get pregnant on the nuvaring. Like I said I NEVER take it out besides the one week. And put it back in at close to the same time of day that I took it out. And I do know I had it back in more then 7 days before my boyfriend came home from out of town. Guess I just have to wait and see. I have my yearly on Sept 2nd. Maybe I'll switch to something else if I'm NOT PG.
Avatar n tn I took out my nuvaring on july 2nd, got my period on july 5th, never put my nuvaring back in. I felt myself ovulate on the 10th. three weeks later (july 27th) I got a positive pregnancy test. Now I normally have 28 day cycles but not this month and I'm sure it was due to the discontinuation of birth control. So yes it's possible to get pregnant in the 7 days following your period. I also started having symptoms before my period was due.
Avatar n tn I had started taking nuvaring in August. This was my first time using hormonal birth control. In the second cycle, the week before my period I had breakthrough bleeding which started on a Monday and lasted a week. During this time I had terrible cramps, nausea, sleeplessness. I started FREAKING out that I was for sure pregnant. But I took my ring out on Saturday of that week and the following Monday the breakthrough bleed got a bit heavier, more like a period, but much lighter.
1222635 tn?1366399886 I'll be going on nuvaring within this next week. I love it because you can even have it out for a few hours and it be effective. It's got low doses of hormones and since it's closer to the uterus it doesn't need the higher amts. It's easy to insert and remove and if you choose to skip a period you can just put a new ring in rather than wait a week.
Avatar f tn Hey guys, So I've been on the nuvaring for about 2 years and It works great I haven't ever had any problems with it. I am a bit bad with taking the ring in and out but it always occurs within the proper 24hr time span so nothing too crazy. My boyfriend and I have had sex... a lot and he always finishes in me. I have another week and half till I'm supposed to get my period but about a week ago I started spotting. This was odd since in all my time on the nuvaring that has never happened.
Avatar n tn I've been reading what every1 has been writing and its helping me. I've been trying to find out whats going on with me. It started wen I noticed some spottin a week before my period was due, (mine are always on schedule & very heavy) that lasted a few days & stopped. I feel like im pregnant & so i took 4 home pregnancy tests all came out positive. I went to the dr & 2 urine tests came out negative.
Avatar f tn My boyfriend and i have had sex MANY times and he cums in me almost everytime. It also fell out one day and was out for more than 3 hours... Is it possible that i may be pregnant or is this just the side effects of this ring?
Avatar m tn Hi Im hoping someone can help me either through personal xperience or any real medical knowledge. I recently switched from the nuvaring to a pill. I have never been on a birth control pill before, and my doctor said to start it the week i was supposed to have my period because it hadnt started. So, i was off nuvaring for 3weeks and started Lutera on saturday apr.21st. My boyfriend and i had sex my 4th day of being on Lutera, we didnt use a condom, but he pulled out.

955651 tn?1246534914 Then a week after taking it out, June 14th I put my new one in, I took it out on the 5th and I still haven't had a period... I get pregant VERY easy, I am starting to freak..anyone else had anything like this happen?
Avatar f tn I am currently on nuvaring and a blood pressure med that should not be taken if you think you may be pregnant. I mistakenly took my nuvaring out a week early and had kind of unprotected sex a day after inserting my new ring. We did the withdrawal method but I still felt kind of weird about it so I took the morning after pill since I knew I was on the blood pressure meds and to be on the safe side.
Avatar m tn However, my period did not come when it should've after taking the plan B. So, I went to my gyno and had another urine test done. It came out negative again. 3) Eventually, I did get a period. It lasted for a week, but it was not a normal flow that I am used to. I was also having very strange pains in my uterus on one side, so I made another gyno appointment. She wrote it off as PMS, despite the fact I have never felt these pains before. I took another urine test, which came out negative.
Avatar n tn I take Microgestin FE 1-5/30 and I am a Sunday starter. I tried nuvaring at the end of march and took it out on tuesday april 2nd. The next day, on the advice of my doc, I started my BC pills taking that days pill, which would be wednesday. I have had 3 months since then of normal periods. I have not missed any pills. I have been VERY stressed lately. I"m having clear thick discharge with lines of red blood, but only friday and Tuesday. Otherwise very small amount of normal discharge.
Avatar f tn Then Feb 25th I started my period thats when I took my nuvaring out that was my off week and I wasnt supposed to put another one in until March 4th. Well my period stopped march 2nd and on march 3rd my husband and I had intercourse with no condom just not thinking. But then on the 4th I put a new nuvaring and I took it out on March 25th. But then I didnt get a period on March 29th I had a couple of really light brown spots and then nothing else.
Avatar m tn Thought i was pregnant through all of this, took a test said negative, was it too early? could i be? I am on the pill, but i have missed some and have not been faithful to it at the same time every day. if condom was not used, the withdraw method is used. Could i be pregnant? what could it be?
Avatar f tn Because he pulled out, the chances of you having gotten pregnant are pretty low. Do not stop taking your birth control pills, continue as usual and only stop once you confirm a pregnancy and speak to your doctor who prescribes your pill. Hormonal birth control obviously isn't something you want to take throughout your pregnancy, but as you're waiting, it's fine.
Avatar f tn It is taken on cycle days 5-9 but you can start taking clomiphene as early as cycle day 2. Ovulation usually occurs about 5-9 days later. It is started at 50 mg a day for 5 days. if you do not ovulate on Clomid, then your doctor often increases the dosage in the next cycle. The earliest that a sensitive blood test can pick up any HCG is 5-7 days after ovulation. if you are not on HCG booster the quantitative serum beta test can be reliable about 10-12 days after ovulation.
Avatar f tn I was 2 days early taking it out for my week break in the second month. It ended up being out for 10 days I had intercourse 4 times in that period of time. I then had sex 3 times during the next which ( which apparently youre suppose to wait 7 days ) then about 13 days after my period ended. I had sex and the ring was out for a little over three hours. a few days later I had sex again. 2 days after the my ring was out for 6 hours!!!!!!! ( found on kitchen floor) cleaned and reinserted.
1287128 tn?1331138138 I went to the doctor last month who gave me a script for nuvaring which I hate hormonal bc so I haven't started taking it. I did have a miscarriage in november but I was so so early along that they couldn't even get a positive urine test they got an early positive via blood then two days later I mc. My hcg levels immediately went back to normal so my doctor said she doesn't think thats what has caused all this. if anyone has an opinion or similar experience I'd b very appreciative! Xx thanks!!
Avatar f tn I am on Yaz birth control, but one day I forgot to take it and my husband and I did engage in intercourse, but he never goes in me he always pulls out; however, I know there is a chance of precum. I began getting cramps a week later my period is not suppose to come for another 2 weeks according to the pills. I stopped taking them 2 days after I noticed I missed one because I was concerned. Now I have light brownish discharge. what does all this mean? My period came early?
730826 tn?1317946934 Hubby actually gets mad cuz i want kids so bad im always taking my nieces out places and stuff.
Avatar n tn I have always had a normal and consistant period ever 28 days. I am on the nuvaring, which had not failed me. But last December I forgot to take it out and apply it back in on the proper days and I had unprotected sex with my sons father two in the week. Now, this past week I have experienced a one day heavy bleeding period, spotting, nausea, wierd feeling in my lower belly and also I constantly have to go to the bathroom. I am also getting side aches and headaches.
288613 tn?1191139881 30th 06) and i began taking birth control via the pill and switched later to nuvaring. I began birth control in early dec. and stopped taking it all together in march. My husband and i do not use any method of controceptive as we are waiting on God's timing for a child, not our own...Anyhow, I have a history of at least a few irregular periods (missing one month due to stress), however, i have never missed more than one month.
