Taking hydrocodone with xanax

Common Questions and Answers about Taking hydrocodone with xanax

vicodin

Of course it has major risks but the risks to the mother and child are far greater if she stopped taking xanax. Like I said earlier, no drug is introducing a foreign sunstance to your body, it is simply increasing something already there( cocaine increases dopamine, meth increases serotonin, herion increases endorphins) in a nutshell. Usually this causes those receptor sites to increase in order to receive the extra chemical your body is getting.
Hydrocodone does cause mood changes, maybe for the better for you. If you are taking hydrocodone, then there is no need to take Alieve. Hydrocodone can act as both pain reliever and as mood elevator for you. However, since I cannot examine you, nor do I know your medical history well, it would be best to consult your treating doctor before making nay changes. Take care!
I have been taking hydrocodone(lortab 10/500 mg)for about 3yrs.Recently I have quit taking them and my question or should I say questions are......How long do the physical withdrawel's last and how long does the mental withdrawel's last for. I been clean for about a week now and just when I thought the physical w/d were gone they come back. And i also have trouble sleeping at night and have been depressed lately ,sometimes for no reason.
Unfortunately anti depressants either don't work or have significant side effects. Xanax worked as a temporary relief from anxiety but my doctor wanted me to use Xanax only in an emergency - not a drug for long term use he said as the body gets used to it and unless increased incrementally the positive effects wear off. Through exercise and four times a year shots in my hip a couple of Aleve now control most of my pain. I still take the hydrocodone at a dose of 7.
That can be just as bad. The problem with that is, eventually you'll reach a point where you'll get frustrated with the feeling that they aren't "doing anything" for you and you'll take more to get that feeling. You may a slight physical addiction at this time, but it will get much, much worse if you continue. My suggestion is to try to stop them altogether before it gets out of control for you. I'm sure you've read the posts here.
Help with withdraws from Hydrocodone by JDub26 Send Message View Profile JDub26 26 years old Radford - VA , 7 minutes ago Ok well I really don't know what to put, this is my first time on this website I was just looking around to see what would help me with the withdraws. I had cancer 5 years ago and the dr put me on hydrocodone 10/500 mg. I was taking 6 a day like the dr told me to do. Even the days that I'm not hurting I've took them to make me feel better.
Got addicted to hydrocodone due to back problem. Been taking about 6 months. What can I do to relieve withdrawal symptoms? especially depression and sweats.
I have been taking hydrocodone for nerve damage relating to a cancer operation three years ago. I took the last of my medication today and fear the withdrawls that I feel coming on. What can I do to help ease the pain, dizzyness, and other symptoms that accompany the withdrawls? Thank You.

How long before the physical withdrawls stop? I thinking a week or so????? I'm taking 0.25 of xanax every 6 hours to try to curb theses feelings so that I can fuction....I feel very alone, and ****** up. Being a nurse dosent alow me to ask for help from friends or family because I could loose my license. Just want someone to write back who relates, can give me some words of advise or comfort. I know I'm a smart, potentially awesome person, I just need to get through this...God help us all.
I applaud the FDA for taking steps to curb hydrocodone abuse, but I also urge doctors to only prescribe these drugs in the most necessary circumstances. Many people fighting hydrocodone dependency may feel helpless, but I assure them, they're not. Although I believe it’s important for policy makers and physicians to make steps toward change, I think it’s also critical for patients to be vigilant too.
All I been doing is laying around in bed with my dogs and a cat. And taking baths. Is this feeling really going to pass??? I'd love to love life again. I haven't ridden my horse in over 2 weeks and they live right here at home with me. My horse is so fantastic I can even bring him in my house and he just looks around and lolls at himself in the mirrors. Lol gotta love him! I look forward to any and all of your posts! Plz keep em' coming.
I hope you're not thinking of quitting xanax CT!!! Especially with the amounts you're taking. Xanax is a benzo and they MUST be tapered off. The risk of seizure is way too high. Please go to your dr and establish a tapering plan with him/her. You can find already loads of info on this site : http://www.benzo.org.uk/ And an example of tapering plan on this one : http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/bzsched.htm#s1 Best of luck to you! xoxoxoxo. I went through withdrawals from Vicoden ES 4 weeks ago with the help of Xanax. Now, I am still taking 2mgs at night and maybe one more, if things get bad during the day. What are the withdrawals like? After withdrawals from codiene, I dread anymore withdrawals. My therapist seems to think that I can stay on Xanax for ever, but I don't like taking pills anymore. I want off of everything. What should I expect when cutting down?
If you were to take a benzo for withdrawal, you would do best with one that gave some bang, like xanax or ativan. I wouldn't do it for more than a week either.
Hi everyone, well I found out that my son is doing xanax but I started investigating how you can get high on xanax and I didn't know so I found out that he is snorting it I just don't know how you can abuse xanax can some one help me with this one please?
I am 23 weeks pregnant and a doctor proscribed me hydrocodone with acetamenophen In it I am supposed to take 1every 4 hours if needed granted I only take 2 if that the whole day, I feel horrible for taking them because I love my daughter with all my heart.
So you have to be very careful with Xanax if you do take it. Make sure if you stop taking Xanax or want to off of it to talk to your Doc on how quickly you should taper.
Okay..for the past almost 2 years ive been taking hydrocodone, it got up to 6 to 8 pills a day..20mgs at a time, okay, about 5 days ago i went down to 40mgs a day for 4 days and the past two days i went down to 20 mgs a day...my last dose was this morning, i dont have anymore, i want to QUIT.....i take klonopin for anxiety, i have lyrica for anxiety.. i also have a few amptitriptiline's and some tramadol....can anyone tell me if that pretty fast taper will help with the withdrawels...
Hydrocodone and xanax both in very high doses. Hydrocodone is over 200mg. per day and xanax is at least 5 mg before bed but the 5 mg does not even phase me anymore. I feel like I could take 8 and then feel the high. 5 just gets me by as well as the 200+mg of the hydrocodone. Someone please help me! I am lost! I'm the best mommy in the world, my kids have it all. They have love, security and every toy and game a child could ever ask for.
She also has cervical cancer along with a variety of joint problems. She's prescribed Lortab, Xanax, Paxel and Soma. She is having trouble with Children Protection Services and taking drug tests almost weekly and her meds are not showing up. She's taken both urine and hair follicle tests but nothing EVER shows up. I had a similar problem years ago with Lithium. After taking 900mg/day for six years, it never built up to a therapeutic level ultimately developing drug induced diabetes.

Seven months of the highest hydrocodone dose and taking 2 every 4-5 hours for rotator cuff and bone shaving (cuff was removed and reattached...after 3 months of walking around with a broken arm that had grown back crooked). Dr. Lowered dose to 7.5/425 -40 per week...for 2 wk...then to 5 mg...40 per week. I took none for 2 days and wd symptoms were so severe that I have taken 5 mg several times a day for over a week. Must be able to work.
Hello all... I am now on my second day of coming off hydrocodone 10/325. I was taking anywhere from 10 to 15 a day and absolutely had to have them! I would wake up and immeadiately chew 4 of them just to wake up! I chewed them so they would get into my system much faster.... I have read many answers on this forum and some have been very helpful. I don't know the best way to detox from home. I do not have any med insurance and have been taking these little jewels for about 1 year.
I am three days clean from a four month addiction to hydrocodone wheteher it was lortab, viciton, or hydrocodone in cough syrup. I feel like i have the flu. When does this get better. I do have some valum and xanax but do not know what to take. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Hey Guys, I am starting day eleven with no hydrocodone. I was taking a considerable amount daily but fell into it during a Xanax to Valium taper per the Ashton manual. I am still on the Valium taper at the advice of some on this site during the hydro w/d. Currently down to 15mg Valium daily and will drop again in a couple of days. Question is, why does it seem to be getting more difficult and not easier? I felt like I got over a hump at day 4-5 then it's been progressively getting harder.
