flexeril

1653969 tn?1390331661 The instant sleep thing will go away after you establish a routine with it. Wish that I could really help you - but yours isnt a common complaint with flexeril. Do you do any breathing exercises? A couple of minutes of tai chi and meditation and particularly the breathing exercises are very valid therapies.
Avatar f tn I have been taking hydrocodone 10/325 4 sometimes 5 per day for 2 years. i had a fusion in my back and severe arthritis. i will be married 15 years next month to the best husband and I have 3 of the most awesome children who are now 13, 9 & 9). About 6 months ago my husband took the RX bottle and locked it in the safe (i have no key). And would leave me 3 pills to get me through u til he got home . My 4 th was at bedtime. 3 days ago I decided I want my life back.
Avatar m tn I am on day 4 of withdrawal from hydrocodone. Is there anything OTC that I can take to help me sleep? Would Zyprexa help at all? I had been taking 20 per day for about 10 years. Over the past 2-3 weeks, I have been tapering them back, down to about 10 per day. I have taken 0 over the past four days. I haven't slept in several days. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Avatar m tn You should be OK on those things but I would not start at the full doses of L-Tyrosine. Build up 500mg at a time and see how you do. You shouldn't need the valium with the Flexeril. Neurontin sometimes has helped with w/ds so that should actually benefit you.
Avatar f tn After four days in the hospital I was released with a number of prescriptions. Right now I take two 20mg OxyContin daily, two 5mg Flexeril daily which is replaced with one 5mg Valium at night, and one 10mg Oxycodone Acetaminophen every 5 hours (I was on one every four hours but downgraded to every five hours yesterday). My doctor also gave me a prescription for Hydrocodone Acetaminophen to take instead of the Oxycodone for when I was ready.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Us Gemini's are having a ball with Flexeril! I just started taking it. I must say I got a great night sleep for once! Have arthritis, chronic insomnia, partial paralysis, hypersensitive to pain. The generic vicoden wires me badly, can't take after 4pm. Really want to take percocet for pain, works great but got a new doc (old one retired) and she gave me vicoden instead-BAD idea!
Avatar f tn You have to be careful what you take with suboxone. Things like Ativan are extremely dangerous to take with Sub. So are some of the really strong muscle relaxers. Please becareful with these.
Avatar m tn I went to see the Ortho today and he prescribed 10mg hyro and 10 mg Flexeril until I can schedule PT again. I am going to make sure to go through all 3 weeks so that my cheap insurance will pay for an MRI. I had one a little over a year ago thatt revealed a bulged disc at L4 or L5...can't remember which. My insurance at that time paid with no questions. My question is this, I am taking so many meds that can cause drowsiness, I'm afraid I will be a zombie.
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar f tn Before getting pregnant i was taking tramadol and flexeril to take the edge off if my jaw started locking up. Now my ob just has me on the lowest dose of flexeril but it seems to do nothing for it. Just 10 more weeks though i think i can make it if i've gotten this far.
Avatar f tn I have been on hydrcodone for 1 1/2 yrs taking 10 Mg. tabs 6 a day. I have chronic back pain, disc problems, spinal stenosis, bone spurs in neck and ruptured disc in lumbar. I am a 54 yr old woman and had to go out of work in sept 2011 due to these issues. Surgery not an option. This medicine has made me depend any on it for quite some time. I have to take care of both elder parents, mother with dementia. I have a full load daily. Found that I will run out of meds which I have done currently.
Avatar f tn Hydrocodone is NOT percocet. Its still an opiod analgesic but they are very different and Hydrocodone carries more of a risk and you should not breast feed while on it. Percocet is Oxycodone.
Avatar f tn I've found that taking the lowest dose of Flexeril, 10 mg helps with my fibromyalgia more than any of the meds specifically prescribed. I could not tolerate any of them. Key is, I only take it when I absolutely need it and at bedtime. It relaxes my muscles and helps me sleep. I've been doing this for the last five years. 60 tabs last me nine to twelve months. I want to share with you, B5, Pure Pantethine helps greatly. Enjoy your day...
Avatar m tn I wouldn't drink with flexeril in my system.
757527 tn?1237893063 I haven't taken muscle relaxants, but I can see where they may help to a degree. Any form of barbituate/sedative is going to relax the muscles and provide stress relief. If this is what is helping you with the pain management that's great...but muscle relaxants can become addictive.
Avatar m tn Hey Lynn... Congratulations for reclaiming your life! I too, have severe endemetriosis (amongst other things) and was on opiates for a long time before going c/t 36 days ago...I just wanted to add-hot baths with epsom salts, fluid, vitamins, heat heat heat HYDRATE... And be careful with the tramadol and t-3's..They are no different than the hydrocodone when metabolized-so really it's prolonging the process..Have you spoken with your doctor about what you're doing?
Avatar f tn I do not have a prescription and I have taken them occasionally throughout my pregnancy due to bad lower back and hip pain. But I came eqn to my Dr about it a few weeks ago and she said as long as I haven't abused it and don't take any more than everything should be okay.. But I was just curious if taking a half now would have any effects on her saying as long as I don't take any more.. I try dealing with the pain or taking extra strength Tylenol but it doesn't help..
Avatar f tn Alcohol and flexeril are both central nervous system suppressants and consuming alcohol while taking flexeril compounds the drowsiness, confused thinking, respiratory suppression of the muscle relaxant. Flexeril/alcohol combos are frequent causes of accidental overdose. I would avoid the alcohol while taking the flexeril completely. If you already were consuming alcohol, I would skip the flexeril for at least 12 hours or more, depending upon how much alcohol you consumed.
Avatar f tn well,im back....i posted about 2 years ago....did two days n went back. BUT its all different now..my so called free pharmacy is no longer available as of sept 15. i took my last 30mg of mdone 10 days ago...this is the only time ive HAD TO.....other times i jus knw i needed to but couldnt cuz it was n my face daily. so, ive been takin hydrocodone 10 & 7.5 n the day time.n i knw im harming myself cuz i can take 8 10s at a time wit no effect...
1274661 tn?1301868321 I was given the Chlorzoxaone (Muscle Relaxer) to try and ween me down from taking so much Excedrin (That is going to be tough!). I usually take Flexeril at night, so she wants me to switch to this other one for 5 - 10 days and then go back to the Flexeril. I am just always so leary of new meds as I usually experience side effects.
Avatar m tn Somas are also a narcotic and very addicting. I found myself going to Ensenada, Baja Ca to get them. I went alone numerous times.
Avatar f tn Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar n tn It sounds like your shoulder is causing tremendous pain. I hope the hydrocodone is helping with the pain while you are waiting to find out what is going on. The diazepam is generic for Valium. I am also taking diazepam and I have been on it for over 6 years. It is a benzodiazepine and is in the same family as xanax and ativan if you ever heard of those before.
Avatar f tn Are you looking to to stay away from narcotics or are you okay with the possibility of taking thme long term if needed? do you have addiction in your passed, I don't mean to be nosey but it really makes a difference when deciding if you want to be beholden to narcotics for the rest of your life. yes there are great ones that help alot but they can also become part of the problem.
Avatar f tn You never know if you will have a reaction to a medication and if it was not prescribed to you and you received it from someone else that person could potentially be in trouble with the law. I do not believe Flexeril is addictive. But, please call your doctor instead. That's just my two cents! WTG for being clean from vicodin for 3 weeks!!! AWESOME!!! Keep staying strong hun!!!! You know, Ibuprofen or naproxin works great too and you can get them over the counter. Good luck!!!
Avatar f tn I was prescribed this for extreme violent muscle spasms. Dr said non narcotic non addictive. Well my experience with Dr and Percocet i no longer believe in their opinion. So experts can u give me truth. Thanks so much.
