Avatar f tn I am taking Crinone gel for infertility, have been taking for 4 months days 17- end of cycle. I am also taking clomid and estradiol. I am currently on day 23 (7th day on crinone) of my cycle and have started having so very mild almost pinching cramps intermittently. They are not painful, but I was just wondering if anyone else has cramping with crinone, I am still about 8 days away from when I am supposed to start my period.

Avatar f tn I had a CCT and had slightly unfavorable results (Day 3 FSH 9.6, Estradiol 72, Day 10 FSH 16.1, Estradiol 482). We are planning to start IVF this cycle. During my baseline today, I had only 5 total antral follicles, and my ovary size was smallish. I am extremely discouraged. I started Acupuncture 3 weeks ago, and wish I had started sooner. Can in still help me conceive or have a successful IVF cycle with these results? Thanks!!
881571 tn?1326904278 So... most of the sources I read say common symtoms of PCOS other than irregular cycles are: overweight; excess hair groth; insulin resistance..etc I'm not sure if i fall into those categories. I asked the infertility dr & he says not all women are over weight and because i'm asian decent, I may be having excess hair growth but less hair follicles. Most of what I read online suggests losing weight. But i know that very little fat can also affect fertility!
Avatar f tn On the other hand, if for unexplained infertility with regular periods, then if clomid is going to work it should have done so within the first three tries. If this is the case. you might want to speak with your provider about more complex treatment options such as injection medications or IVF. Good luck!
318181 tn?1336443496 I am on Clomid and estradiol. I was told that the estradiol is to make sure your lining in nice and thick to help the egg implant? As for the price of IUI's mine is $273. My insurance doesn't cover any of it so it isn't horrible. Much cheaper than IVF.
1638713 tn?1300454324 Don't give up!!! Doctors can't know everything. I know how frustrating it is. Try taking the meds for awhile and see what happens. I'm so sorry this is happening to you.

126762 tn?1325261805 He said everything was fine except for a slightly tilted uterus. I have very regular cycles. He wants me to start taking Clomid next month. My question - I keep reading about people having low progesterone levels and that can cause infertility as well as early m/c. I've asked him about it twice and this last time, he told me they won't test for that unless you have had 3 m/c. Are they right not to worry about this yet?
Avatar f tn sounds like infertility issue... seek for a 20-30 years experience chinese accupuncturist.
Avatar n tn I just recently had a baby on Sept 5, I have a prescription for birth control but I am not sure when to start taking them. I think the nurse at the hospital told me to start taking them on the third Sunday after the baby, but I am not sure. Can you help me?
134513 tn?1212965848 if prolactin and thyroid levels are normal and you still have not conceived, best do an evaluation for other causes of infertility, including a semen analysis, HSG to check fallopian tubes and uterus, and FSH and estradiol levels to evaluation ovarian reserve (how many eggs you have left). if all this is normal, and you still are not getting pregnant, seek treatment for unexplained infertility, with clomid and iui's or FSH and iui's. good luck and don't give up hope.
Avatar m tn I'm 6'1" 280 pounds from what I have read on the web for my height I should weigh around 180 pounds. I understand that I am overweight, but I am naturally big I have a big frame my shoe size is 13 and I have very broad shoulders. I know my testosterone is low because the reference range is the same for say a 60 year old and what is right for him wouldn't be the same for say me at 25 years old. I think the age range is from 8 years old to like 70 years old.
216278 tn?1308861082 Hi Everyone - finally had my consult with the OB yesterday after my month long hormonal profile! He concluded that I have some form of ovarian dysfunction (NOT infertility), due to my late ovulation, long cycles and lacking CM. He also said that my hormone levels look great (meaning there isn't anything chemically going on) EXCEPT for my DHEA levels. He said that those were a little low at 95; he'd like to see them in the 200's.

521893 tn?1212087846 After you see your gynecologist, if you are not getting pregnant, I suggest that you see a specialist for fertility called a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist. I wish you wellness.
Avatar n tn I am 43 and having been ttc for a year after a miscarriage. I just found out I have a day 3 FSH of 16 and estradiol of 29. I ovulate every month according to the ovulator predictors. My ob told me I have a 5-10% chance of pregnancy. I just started taking 100 mg of Clomid. My husband refuses to go through any infertility treatments like IUI. I had my 3 year old daughter at 40. Got pregnant the first we tried. All of this is a shock. Has anyone had success with just Clomid with a high FSH?
419990 tn?1228259126 I have unexplained infertility. I did Clomid for four months...I ovulated on my own, but the Clomid was to help raise progesterone and increase the quality of the egg. My RE will not do more than four months of Clomid becaue it thins the lining. If you do injectables your follicles will be checked often.
Avatar f tn if a pt has 7 follicles, I am looking for an estradiol around 1400, now these are all muture, which rarely is the case, some large some small. Your IVF program knows there success with going with the dominate or sacraficing it for the small cohort to grow. There is know exact science here, only tends and experience with an individual's personal response.
Avatar f tn How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.
Avatar n tn Also, if not recently done you should also have hormone testing for thyroid, prolactin, FSH, estradiol. If you have a lot of facial hair that you are shaving frequently hormone tests for testosterone and DHEA-S should also be considered. The decision to give progesterone should be based on your progesterone level. It is important to understand that progesterone medication will bring on your period but does not make you ovulate.
