I dont like the cymbalta so far and i thought the klonopin was suppose to help with my tapering off xanax,i was suppose to stop xanax 2 days ago and so far i havent because im scared of withdrawals......i have no energy,called dr he said stay on xanax for a few more days and then try it again.............
It has not and I am back to taking pain meds 60mg morphine daily and 60 mg oxycodone. I have been so depressed and now I am taking 180mg of cymbalta and now xanax. I am more depressed and lost than I have ever been in my life. I can't do anything, I have no energy to do anything. I don't eat much anymore. It has been the worst for me these past few years and I am really confused. What can I do?
25 xanax. She said that the xanax will kick in quickly and help with the anxiety and then wear off, that I should take it only when needed. I decided to read the paper that was stapled to the bag my pills came in from the pharmacy, and only then did I realize that the xanax was bad for pregnancy. Now of course I am confused because I've read several posts from people who were taken off completely when pregnant....but my script was straight from my OB.
got even worse, and depression now saw dr yesterday and he gave me cymbalta to start taking 30 mg for 1 week and 60 mg next 2 and added 0.5 xanax 3 times a day and to continue taking the 1 mg of klonopin twice a day.
i understand the greif process and everything i am going through have talke to grief couns and they agreed that i needed something to assist the klonopin, but is the addition of cylmbalta and xanax safe.
about attack which was so bad, and she wanted me to take XANAX LOL!! and she was the one who told me to stop taking them. now who do i trust. so she gave me Cexlia and said they have no side effects and or nt habit forming with no withdraw, HA HA!!

I can't help but wonder if it's not perhaps the combination of meds your on. You say you are going "off" the Xanax, but you don't say how long you were on it or at what dosage. It may be possible that your doctor is weaning you too fast and this will produce many of the symptoms you are experiencing. You also don't say how long you've been taking the Cymbalta.
Day 12 off Methadone here. My Dr. prescribed me Cymbalta to help with the deppression and anxiety which I have suffered with for the last 16 years and of course now is infinitly amplified. Supposed to take 30mg/day for the first week then step it up to 60mg/day there after. I took it the first day (Fri) and it made me feel all jittery like I drank 10 monsters. Didnt take it yesterday. I know it takes about a month to start working completely but I didnt like the feeling I had.
I don't know that taking clonazepam and xanax is safe, as they are both benzos and target the same thing, GABA. And they aren't used for depression, they are used for anxiety -- an anti-anxiety drug, which is usually sedating, can actually increase anxiety, although the Cymbalta would possibly prevent that. I'd ask about taking two benzos at the same time on a regular basis. But as to the valium for surgery, I had that when I was on clonazepam.
it has been as low as 95/60 and i am not used to it being that low and i honestly dont remember what it was like pre cymbalta... i also quit xanax the same time i stopped the cymbalta, i was on the xanax for about 8 years.... needless to say it was hell, and now my hybercondria and agorophobia along with panic is coming back, but i like the fact my blood pressure is low now..... anyway is this a normal occurence or should i be worried??
I recently starting taking .25mg of klonopin to replace the xanax i was taking. Since taking the Klonopin I seem to be more anxious and have distorted vision at times. I had a major panic attack while driving 2 days ago. I swore I was going to pass out. I have not had that happen to me in over 15 yrs. I am taking my xanax still in moderate amounts .25mg-.50 max a day. It seems to be the only thing that makes me comfortable. Please tell me can the Klonopin cause anxiety?
The Valium-Cymbalta combo is safe and is something I used in the past. He's behavioral changes are due to the new norepinephrine reuptake inhibition that he is getting with Cymbalta that he wasn't getting with Paxil. Of course taking 3 Valiums will make most people act like you described as ''He is slurring words, falling over, and just out of it.'' but it's not due to the Cymbalta of at least I really don't think so.
I am a 48 year old female, with HCV ~ GT 1a VL 12,000 Stage 2 liver disease. I just started tri-tx with INC, Riba & Pegasys on Monday the 12th. I have been on AD & Anxiety & migraine meds for 10 years. My GI would not let me start treatment without them. However, before starting we had to go through the interaction list for everything.
I have been taking xanax for the past 3 months. I began with 1mg three times daily while in the hospital-diagnosis still unknown. My symptoms and being undiagnosed has been the cause of my "anxiety". Never in my life have I ever been an anxious person. I am currently on .25 morning & afternoon and .5 before bed as that is when my anxiety seems to be the worst.
On may 8th he had me cut down to 1 mg of xanax and told me then in a week to stop it as the klonopin would cover withdrawl,,so far and today is may 21 i have not been able to stop the 1 mg of xanax,Im full of fear and worse anxiety.I think im afraid i will have withdrawals from stopping the xanax. I also tried 7 pills of cymbalta not every night.he gave tehm to me on may 8th but made me sick so i skipped around taking them..
I used to be on Inderal (80mg LA and 20mg for breakthrough episodes) and after awhile it seemed to lose its effectiveness. I also took Xanax, but only rarely and it helped with the anxiety. At one point, I was put on a daily dose of Xanax and within a couple weeks, I realized I had to increase the dose and/or frequency to maintain the effect. I stopped taking it daily, and for the past 10 years, I have only taken it on rare occasions...
It sounds to me like this all started when he stopped taking the xanax. From experience I know when you stop taking xanax it is mentally and physically dangerous. The withdrawals can last up to a month. He needs to be seen again and you probably need to go with him to make sure the dr.'s get all of the information. I don't understand why they didn't do a slow taper. It is also hard on your body to go back and forth on those type of meds.
