taking abilify in the morning

ve been on it awhile that goes away and you may be able to take it in the morning. I am having a hard time sleeping too and was wondering if it was from the Abilify. Ask you doc before you change when you take the med. there may be a reason for taking it when they have you taking it.

I take Abilify and it had less side effects than the Geodon I took before it. It did cause me to gain weight however and doesn't work as good as the Geodon did in some aspects but works better in others. Abilify disrupts my sleep as well much like ILADVOCATE experienced but it also sedates me at the same time.

, I just assumed that as I am prescribed 10mg in the morning , that everybody when prescribed ambilify took their dose in the morning too. . That will make any other answers you have very interesting As to the life spam of ambilify I'm not an expert by any means but I think it's active life cycle is around 12-15..hours in your system.

Was hospitalized at Walker Art,Needham Mass to get satabilized..meds worked for the better part.He was recently taken off abilify 5 wks ago-the past 3plus wks he has returned to his behavior not seen since age of 7.Drs wanted to try him on triliptal which been on over wk now,nothing has improved more so worsened.

I took Abilify for some days and now i feel twitching in my forehead. It is not painful but it makes unfocused when trying to study. Are there any treatments? The psychiatrist who gave me Abilify said it would go away by itself but it's been over a week now and is still there.

See, I'm not a night owl. Once 9 0 clock hits, I am so ready for bed. Plus being rapid cycling, I have a different mood every day or two. I take something so I can go to sleep at night, so I don't seem to notice when I'm more manic-y at night. I used to wake up anyway but the Abilify is helping with that. I always wake up in the "mood du jour" LOL.

I would take the dose at night but it was so drowsy that I would be hung over in the morning so I started splitting the dose and taking it 3 times a day which meant that I was drowsy all the time but functioning. They recently developed an XR form of Seroquel. I've been on it for 8ish (?) months. In that time I've lost 25 lbs and I have normal energy. So, if you're asking because you don't like abilify, I highly recommend seroquel XR.

m on a low dose (150mg XL) which I take in the morning. I would prefer to keep the dose low as possible. But maybe a better solution at first??

00 am and 1 pill at night at 7:00 pm. with benztropine .05mg the same amount of pills for the side effects of abilify; however that only worked for a while. Then my psychiatrist with experience for 46 years in the mental health field told me to take Benadryl for the akathisia attacks. This worked great for a long time; however eventually it did not work anymore either. Then I discovered from an answer to prayer to take Queen's Delight.

5 mg at night, and .5 mg in the morning. I just started taking Abilify a few weeks ago. A few years ago, I took Abilify, but had to stop due to restless leg syndrome. I had been started at 10 mg at that time. This time, the doctor started me at 2 mg once a day for two weeks, and then I will see him. I have not felt dizzy, nor experience the restless leg syndrome, at least not yet. Everyone experienced medication differently.

So, my pdoc mixes in yet another drug in my ever growing cocktail - Abilify. The plan is to start taking this to better control my hypomania and depressed states when they happen since the lamictal doesn't seem to be doing it. She's asked me to use the Abilify at night in place of the lamictal and if that works, replace lamictal all together - no change to the cymbalta or lithium. Does anyone have any information on Abilify - has it worked, any side affects, etc?

Just started on increase in Abilify. Woke up this morning with stiff neck. How do I know if it's related to taking the Abilify?

She is switching me to Abilify and started me on 5mg once daily to see how I react. I also get my Lithium level checked in the morning. So, I want to know how Abilify is for you guys that take it! I am worried because I have had troubles taking Atypicals. She said Abilify is different and will perk me up. I read that it causes drowsiness??? So what is that all about? She also wants to keep me on my Wellbutrin (300mg daily), which causes blood pressure to go up in the first place!!

So yesterday Abilify(2mg in am) was added to my 600mg(3002xd)Lithium, 1mg(1xd)Xanax and of course 50mg(1/2 or 1@bedtime)..Has anyone had any experience with Abilify?f it's something bad..nevermind.

Also, im very irritated, worse than before...I taek the abilify in the morning and effexor in the afternoon, should I take them together? Im so frustrated Im feel worse not better Im losing my hope again, Its taking all my energy to get dressed and do my makeup, and im trying not to cry because I am soo exhausted Also can being depressed cause you to lose concentration and the ability to make decisions? I am having a hard time with these things.

i took it last nite and i woke up this morning light headed the i took the pill i was surpose to this morning and it made me feel worst like i was about to faint so i went to sleep and i slept for 6 hours and 30 minutes and im still sleepy so i mite have to go back to abilify...is there any other medications i can take that dont make u gain weight???

Recently my pdoc added 2 mg abilify to the 60 mg of celexa I was taking. He also added 200 mg of wellbutrin to the mix as well. I have treatment resistant depression or had I guess, as it seems to be working. It is very expensive. I pay 65 co pay but looked at the reg. price is almost 500 dollars! Anyway, one of the two is helping. I take the abilify at night as I was waking up with anxiety attacks. ( forgot to mention I also suffer from anxiety, as well).

Let me first start off by explaining that this all started happening when I was taking 5 or mg or Risperdone. I noticed that there was some numbness down there and my ejaculation level was reduced as result of it. After taking the medication for a year and going on brief holiday's I know the symptoms would just dissappear. Having not wanting to deal with the symptoms I was switched to 20mg of Abilify.

My sister (married, age 56) was on 60 mg once a day of Cymbalta, plus 30 mg of abilify(for 6 years), plus lamectal (antipsychotic)..100mg twice a day. and 1 mg of zanax one per day... No longer covered by her Medicare, her psychiatrist took her off the cymbalta and abilify. Switched to prozac 40 mg once a day. Last day for cymbalta and abilify was Wednesday. She is having horrible throbbing , headaches, angry outbursts, crying, the "runs", nausea, panic, agitation.

m back at 225 mg a day in two doses (150mg morning, 75 mg evening). And I take Abilify to enhance the effect. My opinion is that the Efexor is loosing some grip but I'm back in 'control', I hope. I exercise mindfulness, Taï-Chi and I'm seeing an acupuncturist every 14 days. Since he is working on the 'problem' too, it might even be that I'm taking a to high dose of Efexor.

I did not feel the sleepiness until I was on 10mg and napping alot during the day. I was also taking it in the mornings. So, I switched to taking it at night and now I sleep really well and wake up refreshed, ready for the day and no problem at all with sleepiness. Give that a try!

I know this is an old post, but I just started on a low dose of abilify (5mg)about two weeks ago. At first I took it at night because it said it would make you drowsy. That worked fine for a few days, then I started waking up really early like 3am wound like a spring. So, I thought I'll take in the morning, push past the drowsiness and be wound up in the daytime. Right? Nope, if I take it in the daytime, I want to sleep all day even if I take a short nap at lunch.
