can I use flax seed oil for eye drops for my dog? We have tried antibiotics, tacrolimus, and all over the counter drops but nothing seems to help, someone suggest flax seed oil but will only try this if I know it will not harm her in any way.

The specialist reviewed all of the options with us - cyclosporine, pilocarpine or tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said that very rarely has she seen any dog respond to cyclosporine after not responding to tacrolimus.

About a month ago I noticed red bumps on the side of my scrotum and they also started to appear in my inner thigh as well. I used hydrocortisone cream and it the bumps seemed to get better but what I'm left with now is my entire scrotum and penis are red and a bit sensitive to touch. It's not alot of pain and no itching at all and I have no raised bumps or rash. The skin has just turned red.

The only eye ointment I am familiar with is called Ottomune (or something close to that - I can look it up, but haven't). It is for "dry eye" which can lead to loss of eye sight. I use it twice a day, every day.

Thirdly,it can be a contact dermatitis to lipsticks.Take some over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
Avoid licking the lips as saliva evaporates quickly resulting in them being drier than before.

I am using the medication the Vet gave me the last time she had the spot on her eye and it is Neomycin and Polymyxin ointment. Is there any other treatment or medication that I can use that helps her more than the Optimmune? I have also used artificial tears in between the Optimmune as prescribed by Vet but still not any better.

It is a rapid growing cancer. I am completely heartbroken and am wondering if there was something I could've done to prevent this. He has been on these two eye medications for about a year. His name is Duke and he is a beautiful tri-colored collie and is a little over 10 years old.
