Have you tried Autologous ( Blood serum ) eye drops...? Check into them. They are drops that are made from your own dogs, or a donor dogs blood. They worked well for my Yorkie, but, we had to discontinue, because the donor dogs owner decided to stop donating. Anyway, Ask the vet school about them. As far as the surgeries go, check in often, as other members who have knowledge of, or experience with the surgeries may reply.

I have an 8 yr old yorkie with severe dry eye. She has had it for several yrs and did pretty good. I was putting 4 kinds of eye drops in her eyes as often as possible. The last 3 or 4 mos her eye has stopped responding to the drops. I've changed all the drops that I give her, added liver happy and cod liver oil to her diet, and it has helped some. Does anyone have any other suggestions that I might try. I do not want her to lose her eye sight.

Can tacrolimus eye drops and Cyclosporine ointment cause cancer in dogs? My precious dog, baby and best friend was diagnosed just last week with Transitional Cell Carcinoma in his bladder. They now think it is an allergy problem yet she hasn’t been in any new environments .She has been treated with both steroid eye ointments and now steroid eye drops. I don’t know if his eye will heal and be normal or if I’ll have to give him eye drops for the rest of his life, much less, which eye drops do I give him?! (tear production drops, artificial tears, Tacrolimus, Genteal, I-Drops, Collidad Silver) I don’t know if the Cyclosporine will help produce tears or if it will give him cancer. I don’t know if he will go blind or they will want to take his eye out! I know one thing for sure, the saliva duct surgery sounds awful! Sorry for going on and on.

I have been trying different eye drops for my dry eyes and the irritation. I am on prescription antibiotics as well but for inbetween. I have tried systane,thera tears,natural tears and my doc gave me optive which has perservatives and the others don't but tried them now. Just regular saline eye drops like a visine are fine. I'd just stay away from anything medicated until you talk to your Dr.

i may have taken ofloxacin and prednisolone eye drops in my eye 5 times in a day instead of the 4 times like i was supposed to do.will it cause any harm?

Normal gestation is around 63 days so her passing a clot at this stage should definitely be checked. Doesn't sound like she is showing signs of premature labor but one never knows. I'd definitely be keeping an eye on her. You Vet might want to do an ultrasound or x-ray.. Could be a detached placenta, etc.

For the past few days, the pressure in my left lower canine has been getting worse. It has been off and on for a while, but very subtle. Pressing on the tooth makes the pressure worse. The tooth is a bit crooked, but so is the one right above it and that one does not hurt. I have no cavities and the tooth is fine via my dentist. I ended up getting some nasty desensitizing drops on my tooth. It is not helping much though.
