Synthroid zoloft

Common Questions and Answers about Synthroid zoloft

synthroid

Avatar n tn I take Synthroid. I was on Zoloft. I found out that the Zoloft was causing problems with my TSH. You should talk with your docs about this. http://www.thyroid.org/patients/brochures/hypothyroidism%20_web_booklet.pdf Check out this too. It has literature on Zoloft and thyroid.
Avatar f tn Then my doctor moved and I tried so many trying to get back to normal because I had weaned myself off the Zoloft and also way down in Synthroid. Major Mistake!!! Finally I found a good doc and he wanted to get me on Cymbalta because in my 60s I began to have arthritis symptoms. It helped with that and the depression for a while but then, I lost a job and since I live alone I did not go out or anywhere and sank back into some depression.
990510 tn?1249238897 I also take zoloft. I am wondering if the zoloft is making my thyroid worse. If so I would like to change it. I have always noticed that is does not do much for my anxiety and I am on a high dose 150 mg. my dose is now at 112 mcg for synthroid and symptoms seem to be worsening. I am frustrated. I have endocrinologist as well as a psychiatrist in order to get the proper care with my meds.
377600 tn?1225163436 On the endocrine web. Except I take Zoloft. It says that that if you take Zoloft you may need more of the Synthroid. Strange. You try to fix one thing and something else happens. I've decided to try and fix the thyroid first then deal with the depression. LOL It might not work that way though. Maybe the Lexapro is the cause of your chest discomfort?
Avatar n tn Your doctor may want to up the dosage on your Zoloft. I take Synthroid also, and was on Celexa, which became too expensive for me. I talked to my pharmacist about a generic. I was told there is none, but there is a medication almost identical to it called Citolopram. I called my doctor and he had no problem switching me. I was hesitant to switch, but expenses forced me to, and what a success! I have gone from paying $101.00 per mo (after ins) for Celexa to $10.
1891163 tn?1321119046 Doc now says I have anxiety issues and wanted to put me on Zoloft. I blame the Synthroid. I said no to the Zoloft and told him I was going to stop taking the Synthroid. I just quit taking it last week, so I will have to let you know how it goes as time goes on. My sister also takes Synthroid, a very high dose since her thyroid was killed due to over activity. She also has major "panic attacks".
1210047 tn?1265994928 Any research on upset stomach, gi system, when off zoloft? After 16 yrs on Zoloft, 12 yrs Zoloft w/Gabitril, I felt over medicated. Weaned off Gabitril, over period of 6 months, and no trouble sleeping through the night, or other anxiety. Felt much better, since Gabitril made me physically tired, and mind was 'foggy', as my Dr. stated. Recently weaned off zoloft, simply stopping.
Avatar n tn how long should i wait between doses when taking liquid zoloft and synthroid
Avatar f tn I'm taking zoloft and have for years... My doctor is thinking about switching me to Cymbalta... for fibromyalgia pain. Think it might help?
Avatar m tn has anyone struggled with jealousy issues and experienced relief on zoloft? I feel like I might be starting to chill out a little. Note: I have absolutely no reason to be jealous. I honestly could not ask for a more loyal wife. She completely loves me.
Avatar n tn My sister is on Zoloft and Synthroid. If you have any links, would you mind sending me a message with the links? I'd like to read them to check out the possibility of it being related. Thanks.
Avatar n tn i am on Zoloft, Synthroid, Birth Control pill, Aciphex and vitamins...any suggestions??? oh, and if i feel horny, i just masterbate in 30 seconds and get it over with.
Avatar m tn im hypothyroid and have conflicting symptoms (tremors, coldness, morning cold sweats,) all causing anxiety which is probably the root of some symptoms. The docs started me on .75 mcg Synthroid which made me go hyper and to the ER. I've got a new endo and she suspects that I'm having adrenal hyperactivity to the meds so she's testing my adrenal levels. She's probably going to start me up again on synthroid very low dose.
Avatar n tn Along with a possible gluten intolerance. I was started on synthroid 25mg but only took it for 10 days because I actually felt worse on it. I know it shouldn't even effect me for 4 weeks. I have another appointment next week, however right now I started taking zoloft for the anxiety. My main question is, my main gp thinks maybe I should wait hashimotos out until I become full hypothyroid then take medication, but she said I said ask my endo. What do you guys think>?
Avatar m tn It's been just about 3 weeks with nothing, but Half a dose Effexor XR and my xanax and yesterday I went to walmart and was able to get trazadone for $4.00. I really want to switch from Effexor Xr to Zoloft at Wall-Mart they said Sam's Club has Zoloft for $19.00. I just don't know, do I just stop taking the Effexor Xr and start taking the Zoloft or do I need to taper the Effex Xr and the start the Zoloft??
Avatar n tn Hi maglieannie, I got the results and I was mistaken about TSH being high. They are: TSH <0.03 (L), Free4 2.2(H), Free3 3.5. Can you tell me if this would cause the depression and anxiety? When these labs were drawn on May 10 I was on 137mcg of synthroid. I am now on 112 mcg of synthroid and I stand 5'6" and weigh 169 lbs. Any information you can give would be so appreciated.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with Hash's about a month or so ago. Started 50mcg of Synthroid 3 days ago. I'm feeling very jittery and almost manic. My TSH was 15 on last blood test, which I guess is why doc started me on 50. my question is will this feeling go away as I adjust to the med? I am prone to panic attacks and anxiety and am also on Zoloft 50 mg and Klonopon as needed. Any help or advice would be great.
Avatar f tn I used diagnosed 5 months ago with the "Hypo" as I lovingly refer to it and it's been 5 months of hell. I've been through 2 dr's and on several different doses of Synthroid - oh-- and one trip to the ER. I had a drug interaction my first week with my Zoloft. So, no SSRI for me. I just recently switched to Armour in hopes of having less of side effects.
5050843 tn?1362870326 Been on Zoloft 150mg upto 200mg for approx 10 years. Has recent thyroid removal and taking synthroid, calcium and Vit D for past 3 months. New lab test reveal extremely underacttive thyroid so synthroid dose increases along w recommended Wellbutrin XL to control further depression I was feeling. I assumed I was to immediately replace the Zoloft w the Wellbutrin, I've had life altering change in emotion and behavior and I don't recognize myself.
492307 tn?1214186739 Or know of where I can find this info again? I know that IF you take Zoloft and Synthroid there is an absorption issue, you have to take more synthoid to see the results. Any info or help with this would ease my mind. Zoloft worked WONDERS for my depression, and IF it didn't cause all these issues with my thyroid I MIGHT consider going back on, even with the sexual side effect at this point!!!!
Avatar f tn IM IN THE SAME AS YOU I USE TO WEIGH 179 NOW IM 201 IM TAKING WELLBUTRIN FOR DEPRESSION 150 MGS I USE TO TAKE ZOLOFT NOW IM NOT TAKING IT ALSO DOESN'T WORK. ASK YOUR DOCTOR TO GIVE YOU WELLBUTRIN, ZOLOFT.
Avatar n tn Well I have stopped taking zoloft and synthroid maby that will give me some answers, they may be the culprit and poisoning my system I guess it is worth a try. Cannot be any worse than the missery I live withOh by the way I slept through the night last night.WOW big deal for me. I will keep you informed of what is going on with me. Hope you are doing some better.
Avatar f tn After that I was put on 50 mcg Synthroid for a year and that was when I started having severe depression. I have been on 150 mg zoloft for close to a year now. My psychiatrist basically said that my depression has nothing to do with my hormones or lack of it. I decided to dose myself recently with 112 mcg Synthroid and after about 3 weeks into it my brain fog cleared and my depression is 90% better.
