Have you had any problems with your thyroid meds since your RAI? I was doing well on Synthroid with TSH at 5.16 at the end of Jan. 08. My doc then switched me to Levoxyl 125 mcg, had bad reactions 2 1/2 mos later--hyperthyroid type symptoms. Back on Synthroid at 50 mcg and still waiting for my breathing to get totally better, but starting to feel swelling of the thyroid (slightly) on the right side. Endo says that the breathing can't be related, but research says it is.

I am borderline, TSH between 3-5 and I have tried generic synthroid, (gave me severe joint pain all over my body) armour (elevated blood pressure) and then brand synthroid (joint pain in fingers only, increase in ADD symptoms) and even though the brand synthroid 25mcg improved my energy for awhile, that effect is decreasing and I have gained weight in my stomach area which I noticed within 3 weeks of taking it.
Yes you can be pregnant if you did not use protection. I got my positive 2 days before missed period was very light positive then 2 days after missed period i had a 2 dark lines. You should be able to get a positive 2 weeks after your missed period if you get negative then your not pregnant pg test are more sensitive this days that can detect low hcgs. I went from hyper to hypo. My endocrine had made the mistake of putting me on Tapazole and I became severely hypo. Now to rectify it, I've been on 125 ml of synthroid. I've been on syntroid for a 6 weeks and started noticing excessive hair loss within the past week. I've been tested a week ago and my levels are on the higher side of the normal range. I do feel great, but still losing so much hair. My doctor calls it Telogen effluvium? Is that possible? Or is it the medication?
What dosage is higher for Synthroid .112 or .125?? I would think .125 or does it apply the opposite
and .112 is stronger??
I have been recently diagnosed with thyroiditis. I'm currently in a hypo stage and have been put on synthroid - 50mg a day. I've been on the meds for 5 weeks and am still gaining weight. I began on June 11 and since then have gained aprx 1.2 lbs a week. I feel bloated and swollen, but when I went to the endo. she said that it would take a while for my metabolism to catch up with my blood work - which now has a TSH of 1.2.
