synthroid

Avatar f tn Wellllllll.....I got my thyroid labs back today...All normal now!!! I'm trying not to get too excited, as it's only been 3 weeks since being taken off the Synthroid...But, it's been 8 weeks since finishing chemo...So, maybe (just maybe?) after being hyper then hypo, then hyper from Synthroid, and swinging back the other way, my thyroid is finally finding a "happy place"...
535882 tn?1396576685 Great news Kevin, congratulations! Hope you're feeling better soon.
Avatar m tn I have a TT scheduled for Wendsday, only med my military insurance will cover is synthetics (Synthroid), I asked my Endo about natural, bad news is hospital does not supply natural hormone, and I have no insurance outside military health care. Synthroid seems to be getting bad criticism by many users, is there anyone having positive results using Synthroid? Also Cytomel? or use both?

Avatar f tn ), because a needle biopsy should suspicion for papillary thyroid cancer. Well, good news is, none of the lymphnodes had cancer. Bad news is...nice scar on the neck! But since then, I have had major "anxiety". Shakiness, heart palpatations, lighthead, grumpiness etc. Granted, not only did I have a major surgery, but my father passed away the same week. However, I am now "battling" with my endocrinologist on the right level of synthroid.
451191 tn?1264432890 m having my Synthroid raised to 175 and have follow-up bloodwork in three months. I am going home for a visit (CA) this weekend and I can actually enjoy myself and not think about stupid ThyCa. HOORAY!!!
1117655 tn?1291328817 My levels came back very low, so my pcp put me on 50mg of Synthroid which I had side effects of bms which were yellow, shakiness, no concentrations what so ever, memory loss. So 2 weeks into into it she lowered my dose to 25mg of Synthroid. Then i went back with same symptoms and increased it to 50mgs again and I shook like I had parkinsons disease. She ordered a ultrasound which came back ok. Lowered me back down 1 week later and orderd an MRI (still witing on results).
Avatar f tn d like to thank my doctor and synthroid for giving me this opportunity to experience how a normal person feels at 74F. Strangely my body temperature was around 97.4F Not that I knew what it was before starting the synthroid but I imagine it should be around 98.

Avatar f tn My friend was recently prescribed a higher dosage of Synthroid - from 50 mcg to 88 mcg, I think- and she has experienced significant hair loss. She is wondering if she can attribute this to the med increase OR the fact that she also switched to the generic. ANy help would be appreciated.
519035 tn?1348275773 Well, Its been one month on synthroid. I am doing well, okay. I started to grow my nails again. Its good. I am trying to beat out another infection, which most of you have helped me with. Thanks laura. I am only on 50mg, which is a pretty small dose, but it does help. I have cut out on my acid reflex pills. I am only taking a few pills besides my vitamins, and synthroid. Which is a relief from going to the cuboard constantly.
Avatar n tn I am taking synthroid. He said i may not even need it but i won't know for a while. He also said if i do not take the synthroid the left side willtry to take over and become swollen.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had normal thyroid test levels, and was prescribed synthroid to reduce thyroid swelling, and no other purpose for the medication. Did synthroid reduce thyroid swelling ?? Any side effects from the medication ??
1107393 tn?1263417738 It was my understanding that the makeup of the hormone is probably the same, but generics of the same drug may use a different filler....They use binders and color and fillers to get the desired size, shape and color of pill. I'm pretty new at all of this too, so one of the more experienced folks may be able to answer this better. I started out on synthroid...then went generic....synthroid messes with me...I don't like some of the side effects...
Avatar n tn If you have your lab results post them here, Free T3 Free T4 and TSH also the ranges provided on the lab results, I started out at 125mg Synthroid in Jan 09, I finally reached a Non-Symptomatic level in May 09 after several dose adjustments I am at 75mg and feel much better than I have in some time.
Avatar f tn I have been on Synthroid 50 MCG for about a month now for Hashimoto's. A few days ago, I began experiencing muscle aches everywhere that I cannot explain through changes in exercise or activity. Is this my body adjusting to the medication and needing more Synthroid? Blood test next Friday for synthroid increase. Prior to beginning my medication, the only hypo symptoms I had included tiredness and horrific periods.
Avatar n tn NO it is not due to synthroid .. It is no where mentioned in synthroid side effects list.. Keep trying to find its cause , get to the root of it.

Avatar n tn I went this morning and got the tape stuff off my incision and they removed a few stitches I had. The scar is pretty ugly but I am not worried about it right now. The great news is that the final report said it was just a benign adenoma or something like that...........basically NO CANCER! Yippee! Doing my happy dance! I can now take showers instead of tub bathe only which is actually really exciting to me.
Avatar f tn I had RAI (200 mCi) Feb. 29 and started on Synthroid March 3. Trying to fit all of the calcium doses around the Synthroid (no calcium 4 hours before/after Synthroid) is problematic. Then endo called with results of blood work; he left a message telling me my parathyroid number was still low, without actually telling me what the level is. He also said the RAI could delay the recovery of parathyroids (first time I'd heard this, haven't seen it mention on boards).
