synthroid memory loss

Does Synthroid cause memory loss if taken over a peroid of 35 years or so? if so is there an alternative medication to take? if it is linked to memory loss is it reversable?

My dosage is 75 mcg. I am very active hiking and partner dancing.

My levels came back very low, so my pcp put me on 50mg of Synthroid which I had side effects of bms which were yellow, shakiness, no concentrations what so ever, memory loss. So 2 weeks into into it she lowered my dose to 25mg of Synthroid. Then i went back with same symptoms and increased it to 50mgs again and I shook like I had parkinsons disease. She ordered a ultrasound which came back ok. Lowered me back down 1 week later and orderd an MRI (still witing on results).

Are you very stressed or tired? It maybe that your brain went on alto pilot and you just did routinely after being fatigued? You may want to see your doctor about it if it continues as that could be potentially dangerous and frighting. Was there anyone else home who could help you remember or work through what you did other than you small child. Best wishes. Let me know what you find out, make sure you are ok.

Has anyone had any problems with their memory being affected? I've read and read, web search, etc. I'm still trying to figure out if it's my thyroid, something else, or another RX causing the problem. Sometimes it seems like it's my thyroid and the RX for it helps, then it slips back again . Any suggestions? I am currently taking Synthroid and I was on Levo. I've had my doctor prescribe T3 also but I've stopped that because of migraine issues.

I guess my fiance says I have memory loss since I was pregnant. Our daughter is a month now and I guess he says I see and hear things differently then how they happen or do things I don't know I did. He said it has been since I was pregnant not before. Has this happened to anyone?

I have had sleep apnea for many years and recently I have been experiencing short periods of memory loss . I will be doing something then I will forget what I was doing or where I am . It only lasts for 5 to 15 seconds then I am back to normal and I remember what I was doing and where I am. I am able to function during these episodes . It seems to happen when I am relaxed as apposed to when I am concentrating on something. Any idea as to what is happening ?
