Synthroid chest pain

Common Questions and Answers about Synthroid chest pain

synthroid

Avatar f tn Yes, some people suffer chest pain with Levo. Some have switched to Synthroid and gotten better results. I had chest pain before taking any thyroid meds. Now I'm on Synthroid, and the pain has eased significantly. Some have gone the natural route and taken drugs like Armour and Nature Thyroid. I have thought about taking natural drugs, but because of the shortage, I am sticking to my Synthroid.
Avatar f tn s in a row and today I am experiencing chest pain at the top of my left breast slightly to the left of my sternum. It feels almost like a pulled muscle, like a slight burning along with the pain which comes and goes but is not tender to the touch. This has happened once or twice before (over 2 years ago) but I never looked into it. Can the event of having PAC's in a row cause chest pain? I plan on switching back to Synthroid instead of the generic next refill.
6905569 tn?1385957857 I was ok for a few days and then the tachycardia type symptoms began, tight chest, heart pain, left arm pain, FAST heart beat, etc. It happens 1-2x a day. It got so scary I went off of it. 3 days off no symptoms & then BAM they begin again! This NEVER EVER happened BEFORE Synthroid. I am SCARED to take any other drugs for this condition. I take double doses of my klonopin now and baby bayer-just in case. Im 37 btw, I have Hep C & mild IBS -C.
Avatar f tn I have been having tightness in my chest, sweating, hot flashes, shaking (both on the inside and outside), pain in my neck, pain in my back between my shoulder blades, episodes of belching (even with nothing to drink for over 6 hours)... I was going to go to the ER this morning when I woke up freezing and shaking. I don't have a temp or anything. Could this be thyroid related? I had my TSH and free T3 and T4 done yesterday. Didn't get results yet?
Avatar n tn I have been to a cardiologist and that is not the issue. My question is can Synthroid cause chest pain side effects? They come upon me when I have to move suddenly or at the start of a walk/run. They (the pains) fade soon enough but the pain is enough to cause me concern.
Avatar f tn I have been off my synthroid for 6 days now and continue to have chest pain and the inability to take a deep breath. While in the hospital I had some type of questionable seizure activity where both my upper and lower extremities went 100% numb and my hands became stiff and contracted. Although I was aware of it all. i am no better and no one can tell me why I feel the way i do. all my doctors have said i dont know what is wrong it is a mystery!
Avatar f tn t have a known heart condition but I have been having chest pain, pain in left arm, neck pain and stomach issues for the past few weeks. Docs have run tons of tests and no answers but NO heart tests. All GI tests. I emailed the Dr today to see if she thought it could be heart related but I didn't get a response yet. I don't want to take the Ativan unless it's safe. Maybe all my problems are stress/anxiety related? My last TSH was on 11/29 and it was 2.65 but on 11/4 was 4.
Avatar n tn I was started out at a 137 mcg dose, and within 2 weeks I was feeling very anxious, had heart palpitations, chest pain, and I was starving all the time! I went to an endocrinologist who said I started out on too high of a dose. He cut my dose in half and I am still adjusting to the new levels three weeks later, but definitely feeling much better. Also, each pill of the thyroid hormone medication (synthroid/levo) stays in your system for 7 days.
Avatar f tn I started having nausea, on Tuesday, which was somewhat relieved by vomiting Tuesday evening. However, I have continued having nausea every day since then which begins in the morning and lasts all day, whether or not I eat. Some days I have vomited others I haven't. I do get more nauseous when standing and even more nauseous the longer I stand in one place, which also makes me light headed & increases my headache pain. I went to my doctor Friday.
533063 tn?1262366101 Hello all! I'm hypo/hashi - have been taking levothyroxine (25 mcg, 1st month; 50 mcg, next two months) in the morning, as I wake up with water. About 15 - 20 minutes after taking my meds, I've started noticing (within the last month & a half) that I get a dull pain in the area of my left breast - it feels like it's almost IN my breast, or just below it.
243059 tn?1202377352 Thyroid antibodies are high and I have tons of abdominal pains and chest pains. Chest pains feel like whole chest area is sore. I also have joint pain in my fingers and so on. I'm wondering if I might have an auto immune disorder developed from my antibodies attacking my thyroid and gone to other places. I'm tired of trying to diagnose myself. I have been to numerous doctors and to one endocrinologist and I still feel like ****.

Avatar f tn I noticed in one of your replies that your symtoms are very similar to mine...breathing issues, chest pain, dizziness, muscle fatigue. How are you treating? Just T4? Combo? Natural thyroid? Thanks!
Avatar f tn From my reading, I know that the chest pain can be caused from the esophageal issues, but I can not find information about the how this occurs. Is it triggering a nerve(s) or is it a muscles issue? What is the pathology of this? None of my doctors seem to worried about it being a heart problem. I have been to my regular doctor, a GI (had endoscopy with dialation), and just FINALLY saw the motility specialist but now I have to wait a whole month for the tests.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with hypothroidism with 3 noduals.in September 2008. Dr. prescribed me Synthroid 125 mcmg. Made me feel real crazy, anxiety, jumpy, heart paplitations as I did before the diagnosis. Went to another physician and he tested my levels and placed me on a lower dosage of Synthroid of 112 and ordered a ultrasound. Dr. Sent the ultrasound to an Endo. appointment is scheduled in February 11, 2008.
626217 tn?1221939563 Would make sure the TSH is normal (1-3 for your case) on this dose of synthroid and have an evaluation (? orthopedic) into the pain and consider physical therapy if needed.
Avatar n tn Abdominal cramps, anxiety, changes in appetite, change in menstrual periods, chest pain, diarrhea, emotional instability, fatigue, fever, flushing, hair loss, headache, heart attack or failure, heat intolerance, hyperactivity, increased heart rate, irregular heartbeat, irritability, muscle weakness, nausea, nervousness, palpitations, shortness of breath, sleeplessness, sweating, tremors, vomiting, weight loss
Avatar f tn My cholesterol is wnl and there is no heart disease in my family. But the doctors cannot find anything that explains the jaw pain, and the stomache and chest pain either. I am wondering if it is medicine sensitivity?
Avatar f tn Have you had your antibodies checked? I ask because ovarian cysts, acid reflux, leg cramping, chest pain, eye pain, could also be caused by Hashimoto's antibodies. Hashimoto's causes hypothyroidism, and if you haven't had your TGAb and Anti-TPO blood work, I suggest you get it, along with a thyroid ultrasound. The treatment for Hashimoto's, just like hypothyroidism, is hormone replacement like the brand you're taking, but there are many brands and formulas.
Avatar n tn I felt hot to some extent, and I felt some tightness (or pain) in my chest and in my underarm areas. Those feelings continued after I took the Synthroid and Liothyronine on day 2. After the first two days, the feelings of heat and pain were mild, and these feelings were at a level that I thought I could handle. However, after the third day, my feelings of heat and pain increased, and I felt bad. I woke up on day 4 still feeling bad.

865758 tn?1285952904 Does anyone experience twinges of chest pain with their Hashi's? It's not excrutiating pain and it comes and goes quickly but does happen alot throughtout the day. Just had my levels checked and my synthroid will be increased to 50mcg. TSH is fluctuating between 2.89 and 4.33 but antibodies are still over 1000. I forgot to mention this to my endo yesterdat but was wondering if this was common.
